Nintendo of America and Europe have had slightly different tactics with recent sales promotions; in Europe the New Years sale kicked off on 31st December, whereas it's only recently got underway in North America.

It’s about time Nintendo of America!
Nice, quite a few games I want are on sale!
time to buy eternal
Is this format for listing by publisher new? It's very good! Very clean, easy-to-read interface.
I love how the Ubisoft games, which are perpetually discounted each week, sort of just stepped over the line and said "Yes! We are also part of this New Years sale!"
This is a pretty fantastic showing, regardless. Already picked a couple things up and put some Christmas gift cards to use
FINALLY Ori and the Blind Forest!
Neat, SMTV on sale already
@fafonio
Agreed! Looks like it’s time for some Blind Forest. I already have Will of the Wisps in backlog. Good deal!
I'm def going for Doom Eternal
Is Good Job! part of the sale? I saw it in the Japanese sale and for some reason it never goes down over here, but it has a couple of times in Japan.
EDIT: It isn't on sale.
In the case of Bandai Namco, isn't that list almost their entire Switch library?
Regardless, I'll probably bite on Tetris Effect: Connected and maybe Kirby Fighters 2. Probably also the Namco Museum Archives, especially Vol. 2 for Mendel Palace/Quinty.
Also, it seems DLC also tends to be on sale when the base game is on discount. I'm not holding my breath, but I hope the Star Fox members DLC for Starlink can be one of those on sale one day.
EDIT 2: I'm probably also getting the Definitive Pack of Apple Gems on Super Kirby Clash since it's also on sale, within my budget, and it's a game I play frequently.
I know it's a microtransaction and I don't need to pay for it, but I see it more as me getting the full game, something I'd rather have on a Switch game, even if it works like a mobile one. Of course I do not treat every F2P Switch game like that.
Not mentioned here is a discount off A-Train for the first time ever!
I really wish that Tales of Vesperia discount came sooner. I visit my brothers every weekend to play with them, and it would have been more convenient to just have the game on my system so I didn't have to swap cartridges out each time. Alas, we are wrapping up post game this weekend, if not next. Aside from a few missed side quests, there's no reason for us to play NG+, because we really went for everything we could. We're down to the last 10% of the collection book, and this is the closest I've ever been to completing a Tales game.
I'd say Tales of the Abyss is still my favorite, but this is a great game for those who want a good co-op experience... Just make sure you don't play on Hard like we did; any fight where one character has to fight on his own is brutally difficult!
@hobbes242 Saw the headline, immediately thought of you. 😂 Sorry, I haven't checked CA to see if this holds or not. 🤷
This site always lists both the EU and British Pound prices but never the Canadian or Mexican prices for the NA sales.

Ooh, very tempted by Tales of Vesperia. Though I'd rather have it in physical format.
I grabbed NBA 2k playground2 and burnout paradise revisited.. I have so many games in my backlog. How do you not buy a 30 dollar game when it's 8..
Saw this and went directly to the eshop and bought Tetris Connected. Sadly I remembered that my Nintendo Swith Online subscription ended last month and maybe I should renew it to play this online, something I did not plan for
Is there input delay in RAD on Switch?
@Kainbrightside I found it runs well enough, really enjoyed the game although never quite finished it.
Red Faction for $3 is nice
I feel like 800,000 is pretty good for SMTV, surprised they are discounting digitally already. Must really want to light a fire with this game.
@Controller-Drift Yep, I was thinking about getting Overwatch until I saw it requires NSO, so they lost a sale there. No way I'm renewing their worthless online for one game.
Will be getting Witcher 3 for $20 since the dlc discounts aren't enough to entice me to throw another 10 for the complete.
I've been waiting for a Captain Toad sale for more than a year! Definitely picking that up.
I recommend Gris for anyone who hasn't played it. It is one of my all time favorites and 4 dollars is a very good sale.
Untitled Goose Game finally on a worthy sale. Imma have to pick up Burnout Paradise at that price, damn. I may even have to look again at Tales of Vesperia. But first! Let's take a long look at my wishlist...
There are some great deals in here. May be tempted to make a couple of purchases.
Bought Mario Maker 2 literally earlier this week. =(
SMTV is amazing. Get it for that price if you don't mind digital, like JRPGs, and want a really challenging and fun game.
Still can't believe I got captain toad for $3 last year
@rjejr Okay, brace yourself: Not only do we have the sale in Canada, but all of the games I’ve looked at in the sale have the same price! What is going on with the world?
Picked up Darksiders 2 which I never finished on Wii U and am having a lot of fun with it. If anyone hasn't played GRIS yet, $4 is a steal. One of the best games of this gen.
Tempted by GRIS but it seems like it's always on sale and only 4 hours of playtime to complete..eh. it does look pretty though.
@hobbes242 Quick go play the lottery, must be your lucky day. 😁
Popping in for my obligatory "Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics is a phenomenal game" comment. It's immensely fun in single player and online never has a long wait and will actively show you what others are playing so you can wait even less.
Having moved recently, I find there are less people around to play a lot of these types of games in person, so the quality with which these are made, really makes it feel worthwhile. It's shot up to one of my most played switch games, and has taught me how to play plenty of games I never cared to try before. Buy it!
After playing a little over 1 hour of Tetris Effect: Connected all I'm gonna say is: "Is this what it feels to play Tetris on acid?"
