@SuperWeird I have to admit you do kind of have a point. Not sure how applicable it is in this case though since if they weren't detachable (like the Lite model), drifting sticks would mean having to replace the whole system instead of just essentially one half of a full controller. I wish someone would make a high-quality left Joy-con with a D-pad that also has vibration and its own rechargeable battery though. I'm tempted to by the one one that resembles a GameCube controller just for its left Joy-con.
The video makes it look like a twin-stick shooter. That's fine for overhead, but when jumping is involved, that complicates things. I've played enough of the Bleed games to realize I'll never quite get used to jumping using a shoulder button.
I applaud developer for trying to be original when it seems like all the good ideas are taken, but this sounds to me only slightly better than cutting through cardboard and styrofoam with an unserrated knife.
I almost bought a Nintendo 64 from a scalper when it first came out. When I found out she and her husband frequently went on safari hunting trips, I made 100% sure they would never scalp or hunt again.
I think there are much more important things to spend money on, but if people want to waste their [often] hard-earned money on stuff just because it's rare, that's on them. Besides, maybe it will mean less money for them to spend on buying up a whole bunch of other items to sell for massively inflated prices.
@COVIDberry Quite presumptive. I didn't even see their comments posted before your "reply" and I checked the numbers so I don't know what you're talking about.
I don't want "realistic" physics in an arcade-style racing series anymore than I want to have to worry about keeping my virtual characters fed or having my vehicles running out of fuel.
I was more excited about this game before I found out it has the Nemesis aspect. Having an invincible enemy stalking me just makes the experience frustrating. It's partly why I pretty much gave up on Fusion and didn't invest much in Resident Evil 3. I did play a lot of Alien Isolation and finish Amy Rose's parts of Sonic Adventure though.
I hate auto-scrolling levels more than Damien hates covering Nintendo stories, but this would make the ones in SMW much more tolerable. It especially makes sense in this game since it originally had manual panning options via shoulder buttons.
Does every single character in a Smash game (aside from the 7 Koopalings because they're pretty much swaps of Bowser Jr) get an Amiibo? It would be really weird to see Master Chief get one.
Other MicroSoft-affiliated characters I want to see in Smash Bros. are B. Orchid and Joanna Dark. I know the odds of that happening are slimmer than Calista Flockhart's waistline, but as long as we're talking about longshots... Adding Perfect Dark would make more sense so she can face off with Solid Snake.
Unless you count the pinball game for DS, I haven't bought a Metroid Prime game since the first one because I just couldn't get used to the first-person gameplay so I probably won't get this either but I still want to see what it looks like, preferably before they cancel this one and restart the development again. I would only be 80% surprised if this was never in development to begin with.
Based on his Twitter behavior (namely blocking people for stupid reasons), he seems like a real jerk and I don't even know if I want this game anymore.
I still think porting arcade-perfect ports of the first three arcade games to see if people still like the series would have been a good idea.
Was the acceleration in the arcades games analog or digital? I know that issue could be addressed with the right control stick but it would feel a bit awkward.
I just finished reading the the review and comments for Shin Nekketsu Koha: Kunio-tachi no Banka. Well, @Maxz, @Shiryu, and @Fandabidozi, it looks like this is finally happening.
Other than the swearing (at least in the English patched ROMs) which I'm certain will have to be toned down, I hope River City Girls Zero can be played exactly like the Super Famicom game with the original soundtrack and cut scenes.
Not the games I want personally, but hopefully this leads to more Taito games on Switch and other currently-supported platforms. I'm still waiting for Light Bringer and an uncensored version of Growl.
I'd also like a sequel to or remake of Wild Guns that lets me move my character and aim at the same time, although Wii probably would have been the best platform for that.
I was about to say a track editor would get me much more interested in the Mario Kart games, but then I remembered that I took little interest in ModNation Racers and LittleBigPlanet Karting after trying them. There's also that ***** blue shell which not only turned me off of Mario Kart but the Smash Bros games as well.
Somehow I get the feeling they made the price high so they could sell a lot more to bargain hunters while charging what it's actually worth. It's an interesting strategy.
I'd be much more excited if these updates applied to the single version of SNK vs Capcom. That might already have a rewind function, but it's been a while since I played it. I'd sure like to have an easier time unlocking characters in it though.
@Dogorilla Agree to disagree. Unrelated articles don't seem to be as much of a problem on Push Square or Pure Xbox. I usually don't click on the articles, but because I have torturous OCD, they bother me anyway. The reviews for non-Nintendo systems like the Genesis Mini feel like a slap in the face.
I played the demo and was disappointed that there's no real practice mode. I often like to practice me moves on "dummies" before I take on opponents that fight back.
@Dogorilla Nothing wrong with that if it was actually true. For a site that claims to be focused on Nintendo though, there seem to be a lot of articles that aren't related to Nintendo, especially since Damien and Liam came on board. It's almost like tuning into MTV2 for music videos and finding a bunch of trashy "reality" content instead.
I think games like these were best on the Wii with the remotes infrared pointer function. The newer tech just doesn't work as well. Even the PS3 Move controls were awful for House of the Dead and anyone who argues otherwise is free to settle this in the ring. Even so, I'd like to be proven wrong about shooting games with Switch motion controls. Still, the fact that the Switch doesn't even have motion controls for Zombie Panic in Wonderland while the Wii version did doesn't look promising.
Magical Drop II is the only one I'm interested in, and I already have the Neo Geo version on Switch. Being able to actually move your selected characters instead of the just having them in the background is a nice touch though.
@BAN Of course I'll be okay. I won't be wasting noney on the game or the amiibo. I borrowed the game for Wii once and thought the only good thing about it was having a gravity-defying village in the sky. I didn't like the story, the characters, or the gameplay. That doesn't mean I'm okay with this practice, and I don't just criticize Nintendo for it.
As for the amiibo requirement, it's not just about the figure itself, it's about the massive increase in scalper activity since the start of the covid pandemic. It's been bad before, but now it seems like every time a popular company releases anything in limited quantities, rich ***** ***** are buying them up in massive quantities to create a shortage and sell them for jacked up prices, so for a lot of people now, the price of a required amiibo will be much higher than $25! And yes, other companies pull this *****, and I hate it when they do that too.

Why is it so hard for them to just change the damn sticks so they don't drift?
