@ozwally Oh yeah i'm highly impressed at what Ubi was able to do with Outlaws on Switch 2, sets the bar high now for ports.

@ozwally Elden Ring can't even reach 60fps on a Pro and its a mess on base PS5 to this day so i wouldn't get your hopes up on it running well on Switch 2.

@1UP-HUSKY Watership Down was never a kids movie and that was the issue, parents assumed it was for kids because it was a cartoon and had bunny rabbits but it was never meant for children.

Also Disney put out plenty of films with mature themes for children, i mean Pixar is a good example of that.

@jojobar That's not how it works. Snowdrop is an engine designed around SSD's or speeds near them, the Switch 2 carts are slow for Snowdrop hence the need for internal storage instead.

@krogp Cyberpunk wasn't made for SSD's but Outlaws very much was

The game can't even run at 60fps on the Pro and usually hovers in the early 50's with drops to the 40's so anyone expecting good performance on the Switch 2 is fooling themselves.

Will be interesting to see how the RT Lighting holds up on Switch.

@Serpenterror Yeah games existing don't tend to rely on whether you play them or not. I think they tend to focus on whether loads play them instead of just one person.

People who choose the Switch 2 versions of games really need to get used to 30fps. If you want 60fps play on better hardware not a console weaker then a Series S.

Would be interesting to see how much a visual downgrade it would get for Switch 2.

I'm not against buying a used console but i would never buy a used console this early its lifespan.

@Hapless Late reply sorry but just to say if exclusives didn't exist we wouldn't even be discussing a Switch 2 port of SB because Nintendo wouldn't be making hardware anymore. Without exclusives the PS1 might have failed. Without having Halo as an exclusive Xbox would have died almost straight away (something MS has admitted thenselves).

The game will look and run like ass on Switch 2. It looks and performs pretty rough on PS5 and SX so Switch 2 has no chance.

@Hapless Exclusives sell consoles that's why exclusives exist. Its amazing how the newer generation of gamers have yet to grasp this.

This is why all my PM are in Home ready for when i do System Transfer when i get a Switch 2 because i ain't taking risks.

Won't complain about Streets of Rage.

@RenanKJ Its actually pretty decent now that the N64 and GBA library is pretty sizable.

@SillyG Bandwagon? By that logic 1080p was a bandwagon. 4K looks better on a 4K TV then 1080p its why Devs try to aim beyond 1080p because it will look better on a 4K screen especially an OLED. Its why i never play my Switch docked because it looks awful on my 4K screen.

Very hyped for this. Hopefully a 3D collection happens if this does well.

Won't happen but it would be lovely if Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal/Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen all got added to Switch Online.

@Cathalm I mean it only infringes because of a patent put in place after Palworld released something that should be against the law. It would be like Nintendo filing a patent for Zelda style free climbing and then going after every game released since BotW that has type of climbing.

Both 3DS remakes of OOT and MM are the far better versions. The originals will always be special and classics but they have aged a lot.

@Grumblevolcano Doubt the Survivor Trilogy will come first and if it does it will most likely be CD doing a straight current gen remaster. The reason the Legend Trilogy will no doubt come next is because they aren't on PS4/5 and Switch.

@Hookshot-Username Boomer shooters are a thing and its a certain style of FPS from the 90's like Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D and such. I'm not a fan of the name but it does make some sense when applied to video game years, "boomer" means old right? Well the 90's is pretty much the birth of the FPS genre so yeah "boomer shooter" is a name that kinda works as these types of games harken back to those types of shooters.

Been playing on my PS5 Pro and yeah great fun. Really love the rise of boomer shooters this Gen.

The game has been walking on a very tight rope so yeah not shocked and i hope Nintendo win this one.

@AStupidID If you have any other console then get it for that as the visual hit is huge on Switch, unless you need portable play there's zero reason to get the Switch version.

@OctolingKing13 How is this easy shinies? The 7 star raids are all set in stone and everyone catches the exact same PM, its impossible to shiny hunt in them.

@RobTheIII We got a reveal of new Pokemon Legends game based on Kalos that will feature the return of Mega's, i see that as a win.

@NintendoKnower Fun fact the vast majority of people who play Pokemon don't care all that much over the technical state. Grown adults on Reddit and Nintendo Life crying over a game ultimately designed for kids in mind aren't the target audience and never were. Gen 9 was a fantastic Gen it was just brought down by the technical side that so so framerate aside is pretty much sorted now. Palworld will come and go while Pokemon will still the biggest media franchise in the world and the games will still sell more then Palworld ever will.

@RubyCarbuncle I spend my time hating Pokemon on here? Well that's straight up BS as i love Pokemon and have heavily defended Gen 9 many many times on here but hey as you love evidence so much show me evidence of me doing such a thing.

If anything happens to Palworld its because legally there's a case, if nothing happens then clearly TPC and their lawyers have found no wrong doing. Nintendo/TPC can't just shut random games they need actual grounds, if Palworld is innocent then don't worry its perfectly safe.

@RubyCarbuncle So if Nintendo/TPC find evidence and prove Palworld stole designs and then sue or even get the game shut because of that you will stop supporting the wronged party because the makers of your new favourite toy got caught out for theft?

Copying Pokemon and Ark's gameplay isn't an issue but stealing designs and profiting from that no matter what you think of Pokemon is just 100% wrong and if the Devs have done that i hope Nintendo and TPC wreck them in court.

@LikelySatan I mean calling Hitman mean spirited is like calling GTA mean spirited except of course Hitman is more rooted in black humour and irony and the people you kill deserve it.

@IceClimbersMain They are no where near that bad. Palworld looks worse especially with its asset flip art style that barely works on Xbox.

@Princess_Lilly Most of the best Pokemon designs came in Gens that aren't Gen 1 and Gen 9 contains some of the best PM in the entire series. Gen 1 has some very good designs but take away your nostalgia its no better then Gen 2 or Gen 3 or Gen 4 and so on, it has many of the things people hate about "modern designs" as well.
