Re: Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Probably Won't Come To Switch 2 Anytime Soon

@Oldstalk AC Shadows doesn't run great on it. Its locked at 30fps what ok fine expected but it doesn't stick to hit and the loss of RTGI raises questions on how its going to deal with games where RT is the only option. Avatar only has RTGI it can't be switched off and giving how massive the game world is and how dense it is with flora and fauna i can't see the Switch 2 running it well or at all.

@michellelynn0976 Nah it struggles and it can't even run RTGI. DF already said it has a lot of issues on Switch 2.

Yes Avatar is more demanding. It has a more dense world with tons and tons of flora and fauna, a massive focus on verticality where you can even fly above the clouds and the map is massive. It also only has RTGI as its lighting solution. You clearly haven't played Avatar so why argue this?

Best open world in the series? Look i'm a big defender of Shadows and have over 100 hours on it but its open world while very pretty (well with RTGI on) and big is very restrictive and lifeless. Out of the modern entries its the weakest map of the 4 (or 5 if we count Mirage), like seriously Odyssey's map runs circles around it.

Shame the Switch 2 version lacks RTGI. Its a gamechanger in looks and doesn't look great without it.
