Re: Mortal Kombat 1 Still Has Some Fight As It Reveals New Sales Milestone

@MediaKing I mean arcades and the AI was purposely made insanely hard so more pennies got put in the machine. Its why the AI in the MK Kollection is really hard as the AI even on consoles was based on arcades. Hell that kollection gives you multiple versions of MK3, want Scorpion? Pay full price for Ultimate MK3 back in the day. How many versions of Street Fighter 2 are there? Even the Switch has a new version of SF2.

@MediaKing MK1 has sold really well more so then SF6 and T8. The reason the DLC bombed was because it wasn't very good and was overpriced. If they just released a character pack of MK characters for £25 it would have sold really well like how the DLC for Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 does.

Tell me would you rather Ultimate MK1 instead at £60? You people have a really weird rose tinted view of how fighters used to be. Fighting games have always gone hard on monetisation right from the moment they started.

@MediaKing Most of the sales came from before the Definite version dropped. All fighters do DLC now and its far better then "ultra" and "ultimate" versions where you were forced to buy another version of the game for new characters and stages. Fighter fans buy at launch not wait till 3 years later where the playerbase has that massive advantage over them due to years of play.

Re: "We Have Begun R&D" - Crimson Desert Dev Shows Interest In A Switch 2 Port

@OrtadragoonX Yeah it would be interesting to see how a Switch 2 port would look but i do think it would be a case of just because you can doesn't mean you should. A joy of CD is how lively and populated the world is, its not static at all and it feels lived in like say Red Dead 2. Removing all that, culling the incredible draw distance, downgrading the visuals heavily and even removing some systems would just mean the game isn't really the same game even more. Even the SS version feels like a massively compromised version giving the lack of RT and stripped back visuals and poor image quality.

Re: UK Charts: Pokémon Pokopia's Physical Troubles Continue As It Slips From The Podium

@zockermiller What do you do if every 1st party game going forward is a GKC? Fact is the vast majority don't care and sooner or later physical gaming won't be a real thing anymore. In the age of updates and post release improvements and fixes outside of reselling physical gaming lost its worth years ago. I mean look at it this way let's say Nintendo shut down the Switch servers including those for updates, that physical copy of Pokemon Violet is now just a broken near unplayable game lacking all the fixes and improvements it got post release.
