Re: Global Roll-Out of Pokémon GO's Nearby Feature Gets Closer as Niantic Plans a Long Run

Dark-Link73

The last update messes up my daughter's and my game. In my game I have issues connecting the Go Plus, I get periodically a "Pokemon Go has stopped working." error message when trying to link my Plus.

As for my daughter, is even worse. Her GPS is now all messed up to the point that her character is shown up to three blocks away from our location and the character is constantly running around which makes it nearly impossible to battle Gyms and collect items in Pokestops.

Re: Limited Stock Brings Out the Inevitable NES Mini Scalpers

Dark-Link73

I'm standing right now outside my local GS waiting to open and I see people that brought their entire famly and have them stand in line in different spots to buy various consoles at once. I'm willing to bet their multiple purchases are going straight to eBay. The saddest thing is that their using their kids with the pretence their getting one too.

People can be so ghetto and pathetic.

Re: Capcom "Researching" Viability Of PS4 And Xbox One Ports On Nintendo Switch

Dark-Link73

Wow, that was quick. The Switch is not even out yet and CAPCOM is already "...researchingthe viability of... ports on Switch..."!! Well, looks like we'll be having another Nintendo console with little to no third party support because Nintendo refuses to give in to the status quo.

It's too bad because developers fail to see that without Nintendo the industry would be stagnated and maybe even dead.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Will Support Micro SDXC Cards Up To 128GB In Capacity

Dark-Link73

The opening paragraph of the article is unfare because, even though the XBOX One has 500GB to 2TB of storage, you can't play any games without installing it first! My One has 500GB and after only 5 retail games and a hand full of minor indie and 360 games, it is 96% full! I save 99% of my games, if I ever want to play any new games I would have to uninstall the games installed in favor of any new ones.

My son has the 2TB model and that one came with about 450GB of preloaded software!!!!! So XBOX One, and perhaps the PS4, ALSO count on gamers to buy external storage!!

Re: Pokémon GO Plus Has Just Received an Update

Dark-Link73

@DragonEleven You're absolutely right about the "bug" although I always thought it was part of the programming, LoL!

I also noticed that the detection of Pokestops has improved. I've detected Pokestops more frequently now than before the update. 😄

Re: Random: Nintendo Acknowledges Virtual Boy After Decades of Passive Denial

Dark-Link73

As many has stated, Nintendo has acknowledged the VB many times before. Which brings me to ask the question, what's going on lately here at NintendoLife with the misleading/sensasionalist headlines? Why do they have to do such yellow-press practices? Is not like this site is in need of traffic. I hope the this isn't a sign of the quality of reporting deteriorating for this place.

Re: Video: Take a Closer Look at Koroks in Breath of the Wild

Dark-Link73

Wind Waker was my least favorite in terms or character design for toon link and the population in general. The bosses were amazing. So to me these guys are mostly inconsequential save the fact that they put this game after Wind Waker in terms of story line.

I cant wait to see its placement in the timeline because I love having marathon gameplay every time a new console Zelda gets release.

Re: Darksiders: Warmastered Edition

Dark-Link73

@Gentlegamer Well, that would depend on how much effort a developer would like to put in developing a game. Do Splinter Cell:BL, AC:IV, NFS:MW, Bayonetta, and other games look just like their 360 counterparts? Not really.

There is improvement when the developer takes the time to take advantage of each unique console. Based on the preliminary list of features, it seems to me that THQNordic is trying to make a proper remaster of Darksiders on Wii U.

Re: Editorial: The Rights and Wrongs of Shutting Down Pokemon GO Fan-Made Tools Like Pokévision

Dark-Link73

I'm sorry but I've said it before and I'll say it again: there is NO wrong in Nintendo, or any developer for that matter, in wanting to "control" their IPs and limit the creation of fan-made alternatives/companion software. Pokemon BELONGS to Nintendo and the Pokemon Company, not to the "fans".

Even as a youtuber, I don't care about not making money of any of the videos I post, I do it out of love to Nintendo, not to capitalize on their IPs.

Re: Minecraft: Wii U Edition is Receiving Another Patch Soon

Dark-Link73

@A01 @TreonsRealm @HydroTendonMan @hieveryone AND everyone who still complaint about the Wii U version touchscreen functionality. The game DOES have touchscreen functionality! Not in the way of a dedicated menu, but you CAN do a lot on the touchscreen like select items, craft, navigate menus, and more. What you CAN'T do is click and drag items, which in turn makes Classic Crafting unstable on the touchscreen.

Re: Nintendo's Theme Park in Japan is Expected Open Before the 2020 Olympics

Dark-Link73

Apparently you haven't heard of Pokemon Go, haven't you? 30 million people of all ages have. You should try it, is rather addictive and is a Nintendo game. Besides, it seems you're taking this whole thing about a Nintendo theme back giving Disney a run for their money as if I was saying Nintendo will dethrone Disney. Disney can't be dethroned, is just a behemoth of a brand. The only thing killing the Disney brand is Disney itself (they almost did in the late 90's when there were strong rumors of the company going chapter 11 due to economic struggle). But what I'm saying overall is that Nintendo has enough power to have a theme park in California and still succeed in Disneyland's own backyard. Universal Studios and Knott's Berry Farm are doing it, so I don't see why Nintendo can't do it.

Re: Nintendo's Theme Park in Japan is Expected Open Before the 2020 Olympics

Dark-Link73

@Nintendoforlife By whom? By the people that answered the statistical survey that came out by the results. Also, have you ever been to Disneyland, Six Flags, or any amusement park for that matter? There is a great number of young adults, and midlife adults on their own in amusement parks, without any children because amusement parks now have amenities that cater to such demographics.

Re: Nintendo's Theme Park in Japan is Expected Open Before the 2020 Olympics

Dark-Link73

@Nintendoforlife And you my friend understimate the power of Nintendo. Did you know that the most recognized mascot in the world is not Mickey but Mario?

Let's not forget that Super Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon and the biggest and most popular franchises in gaming. So I'm sure a Nintendo theme park in the US would give Disneyland and Disneyworld a run for their money.

Re: Nintendo Share Value Continues Rapid Ascent Amid Bold Estimates of Pokémon GO Revenues

Dark-Link73

This was such a smart move for Nintendo because it gives a simplified version of Pokemon for the "blue ocean" population and leaves the full RPG experience for 3DS/future handhelds.

As to whether or not this is a fad that will wear off and pop, we gotta remember, this is Pokemon we're talking about. Not digimon, tamagachi, or any new franchise trying to establish itself. Pokemon has 20 years under its belt with nearly yearly main game releases and a number of spin-off games. This is a behemoth of a franchise that, if Pokemon Go ends up been a fad, it'll be a fad that will last for as long as they are casual mobile gamers.

Re: Anniversary: Super Mario 64 is Now 20 Years Old

Dark-Link73

Wow, I remember when I played for the first time the demo kiosk at Wal-Mart right before the launch of the N64. It was a promotional kiosk installed to build hype for the system. I was amazed but at the same time I felt that gaming was getting "too far" with real 3D worlds. My old-school 2D gaming mentality would no allow me to fully embrace it at first. Now, I can't go back to sidescrolling gaming. As for SM64, is my second favorite console game after OoT. 😁

Re: Rumour: Someone Tried To Steal The Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Demo, And Failed

Dark-Link73

@Octane Thats exactly what I thought. They mean to tell me that the hacker would've access the developer tool menu or the system's main menu without a single Nintendo usher noticing while standing right next to the hacker in order to see if heshe required any assistance with the game!?!?

BESIDES, E3 is an event for industry and press ONLY! Public in general doesn't have access and the last time I checked, even if one were to gain access by having borrowed someone's press/industry credentials, the tickets are about $500+ for the entire week. So no.

Total BS! LoL!

Re: Reminder: Minecraft: Wii U Edition is Out Now in North American Stores

Dark-Link73

@DoctorOverbuild Perhaps the sales were not there to warrant the development of the DLC. Sadly, a lot of developers do that. Wii U owners didn't get all the Batman origins season pass (Nintendo issued refunds although idk if it was them or WB who forked out the money), or do you remember that no console got the remainding DLC for LEGO The Hobbit?

As long as nobody gets charged for an unfinished product, there's nothing that can be done about such "unfulfilled promises".
