The Pokémon GO Plus accessory only just came out about a month ago, allowing aspiring Pokémon trainers the opportunity to interact with the world of Pokémon GO in a more passive fashion. Though the dongle came a few months later than expected, it's still been rather tough to find in stores due to demand. Now, a new update has gone out that will make the device that much more appealing.
A new post recently went up on the official Pokémon GO blog detailing the improvements made in this new update. Though registering both Pokéstops and Pokémon still remains the default setting, you can now opt to turn off either one of those notifications if you'd just like to receive the benefits of the other. Additionally, you can just turn off notifications if you'd just like it to record steps for your Buddy Pokémon and. Finally, the Plus will remain connected to the app if you choose to open the app while still using the Plus.
What do you think? How have you been liking your Plus? What other updates would you like them to add? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

"you'd just lie to receive the benefits of the other"
No, I prefer to tell the truth about the benefits of the other. Thank you very much @MitchVogel
I want the truth, and nothing but the truth @MitchVogel
.......OBJECTION!
b0ss gibe de truth b0ss @MitchVogel
......has no idea what's going on here
So this is proof,
that @MitchVogel doesn't want truth.
Whether a goof,
or a legitimate spoof.
It just makes him look like a doof,
who couldn't be trusted with a carnival booth.
@MegaMari0 Lol, this is beautiful
Yeah... this is referring to the update that came out a week ago, so it didn't 'just' receive the update... it's old news for anyone who noticed it at the time.
And the bug wasn't that the Pokémon GO Plus was disconnecting when you opened the app... it was when you caught a Pokémon using the app... you could have the app open without any problem before... but it was still annoying, so I'm glad they fixed it.
@MitchVogel The truth hurts
@MitchVogel indeed, it's glorious.
Mine disconnects each time I drive now, I can't even get pokèstop s. Is this correct?
I think it would be better if that "just received" was replaced with "also received" since it came out the same time as the catch/medal update last week. Guess words speak louder than actions (play & discover vs. a late post on a blog).
Any who, this is an update that I always wanted. Most times you just want it to alert you of Pokémon to catch by hand without disconnecting each time.
@DragonEleven You're absolutely right about the "bug" although I always thought it was part of the programming, LoL!
I also noticed that the detection of Pokestops has improved. I've detected Pokestops more frequently now than before the update. 😄
