@Nerdfather1 It barely even looks like Sonic, it's not like with the Mario film where all they had was the 8-bit game and 16-bit games
Sonic has had realistic 3D games before

@xanderten50 By that logic SEGA purposely made the 32x,Mega CD and Saturn bad systems so they could make games for Nintendo and Playstation, plz besides when SEGA makes games for the other ips they either don't sell that well yakuza or are as bad as Sonic games golden axe beast rider, alien syndrome wii, most the SEGA AGES PS2 remakes

SEGA is just really good at making bad choices and rare times actually makes good ones

sure it's not as good looking as the other Wonder Boy remakes but the 1st game was quite simple, should make a great little game on the switch to play when you don't have much time to get into a big one

Has to be the best version of VR
Only downside is the lack of extra tracks compare to the extra ones the 32x,Saturn and PS2 had.

Sony doesn't make too many games, but since they got alot of third party developers from SEGA and Nintendo SEGA cause they ruined there winning streak, and Nintendo cause they were late and didn't have CDs since the PS1 they managed to be a real rival

@Travisemo007 But it had nothing to do with the Mario games it's meant to be based on, remove the name Mario, and this could of been any film. besides bob hoskins who said this was the worst thing he ever worked on this film a total train wreak.

They already got it right with the anime film version of Super Mario Bros in 1986 so you have to remember they only had the first NES game to work with, none of the great stuff they had by the time Super Mario World/SNES was out, and it still tells a better story

Pokemon did it with anime films which were awesome and matched the games so why can't Nintendo just do that for Mario or Zelda?

@BakaKnight Lets face it they been doing this sort of thing since Super Mario Bros live action.even Bowser was a human and dressed in a black suit nothing like his NES/SNES designs or heck the cartoons

They never learn, it's kinda like they don't want to make a Sonic film... as far as i am concerned this is not a real Sonic film would rather take the fan made one despite that having a bunch of problems of it's own

Rather play the real thing, jumping looks like it's a pain LBP has always had bad platforming anyway

Really with all the great games SEGA could port to the Switch, there too busy trying to bundle Sonic Forces with better games.

Not really bothered with yakuza but I would love to have the arcade game ports it has, should be pretty easy to sell, I know we got SEGA AGES but that's taking ages to release anything just give us a sega arcade collection much like the Mega Drive ones you keep pushing.

@Marios-love-child That's because the Wii already SNES,N64,Genesis,PC engine games in 2006/2007, and it only got more formats as the years went C64,Neo Geo,Arcade,MSX,Master System

Nintendo is really behind with the Switch only good retro games it has, is the arcade archives, because the original Donkey Kong arcade games, Mario Bros,Punch Out have never had release, outside of the arcade or mame

with all the tech we have these days, you think they able to make something more modern or at least something from the PS1/N64 or PS2 era

@gaga64 Basically the arcade versions look alot nicer has more graphics,music,animations
for Donkey Kong 3 I think it has another stage type NES only has 3 DK has a different animation when you beat, in the NES you just get him stuck in a bee hive and that's it, while in the arcade version you do that, but DK also falls down like the first DK arcade game while Stanley dose a victory dance, you also get a different round clear when you beaten DK

It's really great Nintendo is releasing the arcade versions after all this time, if they can somehow get Popeye on here as well, then this would be a near complete Nintendo Arcade set

we already got Doom and Wolf games coming to the Switch anyway

@Yasume To be fair this looks worse then any of the Nintendo made Kart racing games, the tracks look uninteresting, the team idea seems pretty forced so if you playing it sole, you gotta hope your AI drivers don't stink and even karts look dull with the custom parts looking basically the same Mario Kart 8,7 this is not
Only thing I'll be getting from this is the soundtrack.
If I wanna play a Sonic racing game, I'll stick to Sonic R

@Rohanrocks88 Not really, the N64 could of had both Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid if it used CDs rather then cartridge Square's home before was on the NES and SNES along with Konami's greatest hits, but since their games were getting bigger, they needed the cd format again with SEGA, they already put off companies due to the bad launch/marketing, leaving these games going to the PS1, which people had due to how much cheaper it was to the other systems

They could port it to the Switch if they wanted too if the platform sells then they make a version that will work on it

@DragotheKomodo only reason why the Playstation did well, was due to the N64 not using CDs... that's it. and because SEGA marketed the 32x/Saturn really badly from day 1

they took long enough... it's not like they need to translate it buying it off the Japanese eshop, has the english option setting, even western artwork over japanese

I won't buy another Lego game intill they actually make NEW Lego game that isn't just a skin pack for Lego Star Wars.

Whatever happen to Lego Racers? or Lego Island? or any of the original idea Lego games? they all used to be different and didn't feel the same.

even Lego Worlds is plays just like the PS2 ones, just with a endless open world filled with nothing, and poor mans level builder's tools

Lego City Undercover was alright nice to see them do something without a license series stuck onto it, even if the gameplay is still the same, just with some Gamepad stuff

Lego dimensions wasn't perfect but at least you mix and match characters/cars from the packs you brought.

anyway wake me up when they decide to make something original with Lego or if TT Games makes something other then another reskined Lego game, they used to make some really good Disney games just look at the Toy Story stuff, if they make Toy Story I bet you a pound to a penny it be another a reskinned Lego game. >.<
