Re: Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa Thinks Cloud Gaming Is "A Long Way Off"

ClassSonicSatAm

@Kalmaro isn't that a bit lazy on the making tech better?
Might as well hook players to whatever Super cgi computers Pixer uses, rather then making a pretty powerful handheld device with good battery or just a powerful home console

as others said once the internet crashes or you can't get a good connection gaming is off, not to mention the data bill your get or owning your games, once your account is down or the publisher loses the rights to a game good luck trying to get it back

what kind of future is this? where powerful hardware isn't getting smaller/portable or put into new consoles and we have to steam/rent games off the net?

Re: Move Aside Baby Yoda, Baby Sonic Is Much More Adorable

ClassSonicSatAm

@Sanangelo89 Can't be the same timeline, due to so many changes between eras of games as I said in 1997 Sonic was 16 but then gets reaged to 15 for Adventure in 1998... also Amy got age boost too

Sonic Adventure seem like a soft reboot which made sense SEGA were rebooting their image after failing with the 32bit era Saturn/32x everything was different here despite them acting yeah this is continuing from Sonic 3&K since the game is basically the 3D version of that and using alot the unused ideas 3&K didn't, along with a proper RPG style story doesn't help SA1 started off as a Classic Sonic game too which is where SA2 seems more like the first proper game in this reboot

Then of course Sonic Team barely try and make the Sonic games cannon now, leading to alot of odd moments Forces is full of them...Sonic doesn't remember Copies of Shadow/Metal Tails Can't fight Chaos not even at Zero form/also is useless without a computer, the humans are all gone and now it's more like Mobius? it's a big mess

Re: Move Aside Baby Yoda, Baby Sonic Is Much More Adorable

ClassSonicSatAm

@JR150 Classic Sonic is meant to be 16 going from Sonic Jam's character bio in 1997 not really toddler despite SEGA making him appear more cute/smaller and using that light blue from the early Sonic 1 promo art
Saying Classic is younger Modern has never worked SEGA's excuse not to use the classic design in the Sonic 4 games
at least Forces kinda fixed that going with the different dimensions

I mean you say Spiderman from the 1960's is baby Spiderman compared to whatever modern Spiderman we got now
I mean

Re: Sega's Director Of Animation Thinks The World Is Ready For Another Sonic TV Show

ClassSonicSatAm

@KitsuneNight For a Sonic style Looney Tunes with a low budget it was pretty decent for a kids cartoon, had more to do with the actual Classic Sonic games just Sonic and Tails saving Mobius from where wacky creation Robotnik makes
sure it wasn't perfect but at least Sonic was fast in Aosth in Boom he moves as fast as 06 Sonic and Robotnik was a actual threat, while in Boom alot of the action scenes just off as play fighting, as in it's not like Eggman really wants to harm/kill them, just childishly mock or annoy them, even like that time where Eggman waited for Sonic to show up when he was about to blow something, since Sonic was stuck doing something else Eggman just calls the thing off... what kind of villain is that? I know it's meant to be funny, but it makes any of the battle scenes pointless, no sense of danger
which Aosth manages to do alot better

Re: Birdo Joins Mario Kart Tour's Holiday Event As A Playable Character

ClassSonicSatAm

@LoveEmpath £38.99 for a single kart or character and a glider with with 18 chances on the pipes where your most likely just get the same thing but slightly leveled up is a bit insulting tho again your have to be pretty stupid with your money to buy it

You can get a full Switch game or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bland new for that

besides it's more rewarding getting Rubies by playing the game and completing it's challenges which give you more to do then just coming first in a race heck even the shop it self has some of the rarer characters/karts on certain days, so it's worth just saving up the coins

Re: Former Nintendo Of America President Reggie Says The Future Of Games Is In The Cloud

ClassSonicSatAm

@Anti-Matter I mean who wants to own their games, and without the need of internet/severs to play them?

also speaking of which why even bother making hardware that can run high graphical games, when you can use any old phone or something wi fi and just stream it from some high tech computer/console in some factory or wherever they keep them

all I want is something like the Switch or Vita but with more power and the option to plug it into a TV when needed

Re: Reminder: Nintendo Switch's NES And SNES Library Gets Six New Games Today

ClassSonicSatAm

@MaxlRoseGNR I still miss the Virtual Console
remember on the day the Wii came out it had NES, SNES, N64, Genesis and PC engine right from the start and only grew over time with more systems

I mean it's great NES and SNES games are online now but it would be nice to have a buy option and more systems on offer

some of the N64 classics like Mario Kart 64 or any of the classic Mario Party games online would be amazing

Re: Nintendo Reminds Switch Online Users To Check Out F-Zero And Other Classic SNES Titles

ClassSonicSatAm

Honestly the snes satellaview from the 90's is more advanced then this, would be awesome if Nintendo brought it back wishful thinking I know translated it to the west, basically have earthbound hub/rpg town, with the snes satellaview only games many we still don't have roms to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzeZDaiiBn4

again Im just wishing here, shame Nintendo can't even do anything creative with it's Online service

at this point my GPD Win 2 is getting more playtime then my Switch

Re: Fantasy Zone Is The Latest Sega Ages Game To Hit Japan

ClassSonicSatAm

@YANDMAN Don't give me that rubbish alot of the games people are asking for SEGA AGES have been re-released and still be brought on other systems Like Daytona, they already made Daytona championship usa recently and you can still buy the Daytona USA port on Xbox 360/one any chance of it coming to the Switch? nope and as I said there's bunch of other Model 2 games in the latest Yakuza that could easily make good choices for the next SEGA AGES games, instead of some Japanese puzzle games not many people have heard of or heck even remember
it's same with the Super Monkey ball game on Switch instead of porting the two better 1st games.. they go with one not many people are interested and even said if people buy that one then maybe there port the two people have been asking for.

SEGA owns alot of great old games despite their developers moved onto other things if what you said is true then Yakuza wouldn't had those arcade games nor would you be able to get M2's Model 2 ports and sega vintage collections on PS3/Xbox 360/One

SEGA as always just keeps making bad choices

Re: Fantasy Zone Is The Latest Sega Ages Game To Hit Japan

ClassSonicSatAm

@YANDMAN Not really I get it with Daytona and Outrun even tho M2 has managed to get Outrun/Turbo Outrun by editing the car a little, could do the same for Outrunners but there's tons of great arcade games that didn't use a licence
golden axe the revenge of death adder
Any of the Virtua Games
Motor Raid which did get a port recently at last but it's stuck in Yakuza
Fighting Vipers
just to name a few

Last I seen most of Sega Ages PS2 releases didn't have any licencing either it just didn't sell well over here the one collection they released in the west anyway only one that had a licence was Die Hard arcade tho they used Dynamite Deka version which they could of gave us like they did with the 2nd game Dynamite Cop

That's the real problem SEGA think japan want all of their games while we don't want their other games unless it's Sonic *I mean the only Sega Model 2 game we got on the PS2 in the west was Sonic the fighters, while Japan got Virtua Fighter 2 Fighting Vipers, Last Bronx, Virtua On This is the same thing that ruin the Saturn

Re: Rumour: Ridge Racer 8 Might Not Be Drifting Onto The Nintendo Switch After All

ClassSonicSatAm

@KitsuneNight To be fair Namco aren't doing much better Pac-man 1980 anyone? Dig Dug? never mind the better Arrangement versions from the mid 90's with co-op/power ups/different stages/endings and option to play the original version too honestly I don't get why they never bothered to port Ridge Racer 1 to modern systems, I mean SEGA has done Daytona USA PS3/XBLA and SEGA Rally 1994 PS2 Japan and Virtua Racing thanks to Switch so why not Namco's racers?

I mean outside mame or finding the real machines most of Namco's 3D arcade games are stuck on the PS1 in terms of ports

I would love to see Ridge Racer 1/2 and Rave Racer come to switch with online... but I bet we just get another pacman port or another early 80's arcade game

Re: Fantasy Zone Is The Latest Sega Ages Game To Hit Japan

ClassSonicSatAm

@YANDMAN I guess it doesn't matter if they said it or not. I mean SEGA forever advertising had their other systems like the master system, Dreamcast and Saturn yet all you get on it is Genesis games and the odd Dreamcast game thanks to it being ported to mobile before Crazy Taxi,Jet set radio

SEGA AGES isn't going anywhere, even in the PS2 SEGA AGES games had remakes/ports of some Saturn/Model 2 games

SEGA just aren't trying unless it's Sonic or another Genesis/Mega Drive game

Re: Fantasy Zone Is The Latest Sega Ages Game To Hit Japan

ClassSonicSatAm

@KitsuneNight power drift already had a port by M2 for the 3DS tho Japan has the better version with the SEGA all-stars bonus mode
Dayton USA 1 had a great port on PSN/XBLA I think also by M2 with their other Model 2 ports, it's not like they gotta start from scratch, just port over the version they done before if they can port Nights PS2 to everything then why not?

speaking of Sonic ports we never got to see what happen to Sonic 2 not expecting much other then the drop dash and maybe a working version it's arcade mega play version yet it takes AGES for anything when we do it's not much we haven't seen before Space Harrier/Fantasy Zone/Sonic 1 or something that aren't really going to sell to everyone a arcade puzzle game, Puyo Puyo columns, Puzzle bonanza bros The Switch is powerful enough to run Dreamcast/SEGA model 3 heck some of SEGA's modern arcade games too but yet best thing they can offer on Switch is this...

Re: Fantasy Zone Is The Latest Sega Ages Game To Hit Japan

ClassSonicSatAm

@YANDMAN Only got themselves to blame
They said they were going to include Saturn/Dreamcast era games so where the heck are they? not everyone is going to want to play cute em up from the 80s, I don't even see why it's so hard, some of there Dreamcast games have been ported before Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 even the Xbox one/360 has a better "SEGA AGES" thanks to it's ports of Model 2 games and sega vintage collections

Re: Fantasy Zone Is The Latest Sega Ages Game To Hit Japan

ClassSonicSatAm

@KitsuneNight You not wrong, this is getting a bit lazy now, alot of the SEGA ages games there releasing now have been released before on PS2,Xbox 360 and heck this and Fantasy Zone 2 already had versions made a few years ago on the 3DS with the same features as this one only thing new seems to be the borders/artwork unless it's a puzzle game they aren't really going for SEGA's Arcade gems that haven't been ported yet

I stopped buying SEGA Ages games cus alot of the recent ones aren't that great and don't seem to be getting any better
last real good one was Virtua Racing, guess it's a slim chance we see something like Virtua Fighter 1, Wing War or dare I say something from the Sega Model 2/3 Dreamcast eras

Re: Turns Out Bandai Namco Helped To Develop Mario Kart Tour

ClassSonicSatAm

Honestly I like the new ideas Namco added to the Mario Kart games Tour and the GP Arcade games sure I don't fully agree with the pricing system MK tour has.. or how the GP arcade games make you put more £1 coins in, despite if you come 1st or not in any of the cups
but I like how they made the characters different to play, giving you different types of weapon chances, in tour's case gives you a reason to play as all of the drivers to get the best result
They made alot of new ones and brought back a ton of old power ups too, they made the coins worth getting as well the combo/score system adds a whole new goal then just coming first

and the mission mode is also a great return. again the pricing is bad then again most FTP games are but I would love to see Namco add these new features gameplay ones, not the buyable dlc to a console game or heck port one of the GP games to the Switch

Re: Bandai Namco Celebrates Pac-Man's 40th Anniversary With Official Theme Song And Music Video

ClassSonicSatAm

@Ooyah somehow don't think they will, real shame since it's basically Super Mario Bros a year before it came out wouldn't be shocked if that game gave them the idea to make Mario a side scroller platformer only problem it had was the control and jump physics, if they improved that it could "of" rival Mario
one of the best Pac-Man arcade games despite the control issues
