also no, Sony did that with the PSP GO a hacker's goldmine thanks to the built in hard drive and just dropped that idea and went back to carts for the Vita over those odd UMD mini discs things PSP used

alright look it at this way, if Nintendo did that with a console where it was digital only, not will people need to buy massive SD cards unless there cool having a few storing a few games on each but remember how much Nintendo charges for a Digital release compare to a physical version? heck it's pretty bad some Wii U and heck 360 games are still as pricey as they were years ago, unless a sale comes around

and what happens if your account gets banned or something? won't be able to use your games... and lets say you missed this console and wanted to buy games for it when it's been discontinued? like buying a retro console today well you got no chance.

Heck the Wii and DSI are only worth playing today thanks to the physical carts... and modding...

if things all go Digital expect more piracy will happen.

@Silly_G Because other then alex kidd in miracle world it's alright but it's no Super Mario Bros His games sucked, and hardly anyone remembers him. I would count alex kidd in shinobi world as the only good game in his series but that was just Kid Shinobi with a Alex Kidd mod skin.

Sonic has alot of bad games in his time, but he has enough good games from the Genesis/Game Gear era, the Dreamcast era and even a few in the PS3/360 era, to make him stay as SEGA's mascot.

Alex Kidd was already having the problems Sonic has now in his first year remember his arcade game? Lost Stars? or that Japan only BMX game? or that Japaneses anime game which got the Mario 2 USA treatment only it was dull as watching paint dry with only the Mega Drive/Genesis Alex Kidd game had anything to do with his first game, even then it sucked due to the fact they added more rock paper scissors rubbish* they had no idea what they wanted to do with the kidd.

@BenAV Dunno I had my hopes for a moment, but I guess this way they be able to transfer Pokemon from the Let's go games might explain why it didn't take so long to make, start with a remake then make a new game on it with the same engine you would think, having the power of a home console they could try for something game changing like Zelda breath of the wild

@BenAV it looks like it's running on the same engine as the Let's go Pokemon Switch games.. only thing new here is the setting and Gen of Pokemon.

@wazlon nods seems like Nintendo would add that as the new extra mode as with Link to the past, and how they add new modes to Mario & Luigi remakes

I guess it would be like Zelda Triforce heroes or Zelda four swords adventures seeing they already done co-op with top-down Zelda games

@Dualmask Well it was either Mario Tennis or a remake of the Arcade Mario Bros Mario Clash but I think Tennis was bundled with the VB but yeah still bit surprising

Just make more 1st party games or heck some new dlc for something like Mario Kart 8 DX surprised people are still buying it would also help

I just wish they would release more of their games in the west, they got tons that barely need translating but are stuck in Japan. Mainly the SEGA 3D Classics would like to see Turbo Outrun at somepoint in the west

even though his return makes little sense, seeing as in Lost World he didn't even want to work for Eggman only cause he had this thing that made the Deadly Six's ears hurt, and lost it near the start of the game, letting Zavok do his own thing leading to Eggman to join Sonic & Tails unless this is another copy/fake like in Forces..

either way this Mario Kart clone aren't looking so good, stick to Sega All stars... or Out Run.

Well why you buy games for the 3DS? when you got the Switch?
It's like buying Game Boy Color games over Game Boy Advance ones, plus the fact the Switch doubles as a home console it makes sense it would be selling more then the 3DS( or should be 2DS? seeing as the 3D feature isn't really a thing anymore )

I would of prefer Luigi's mansion remake on the Switch, at least we got the 3rd game t come.

All that Said.. the 3DS is still doing quite well considering it should of been discontinued by now.

also the reason I even got a PS1 was for it's Crash games same with the PSP, playing Crash Team Racing on the go was better then Mario Kart DS due to it's adventure mode, and the remake looks like it's going to be even better

@Agramonte Besides Spiderman, there's nothing else on the PS4 that really catches my interest. and what do you mean "waiting 3 years to play them"? Crash came out on the Switch within a year, and looks like we going to get Crash Team Racing at the same time on all platforms.

More SEGA Model 1, 2, 3 games the better, getting sick of Mega Drive games.

I think what they should do, is include a 16 bit mode like how the Wonder boy remakes have the 8-bit mode so if you don't like the new designs, you use the sprites from the Genesis games for the characters at least
at least that way you got the best of both worlds

Whats the point of Nintendo putting the original GC versions on the Switch, when Nintendo have HD versions they could port over?

@NintyNate That's a bit hypocrite aren't it? You don't want Wii U ports but do want Wii/Game Cube ports? like I said, the two Zelda Wii U ones, are remakes of the Zelda GC games

No one is asking you buy every game Nintendo puts out, just buy the games you want, like I said we got alot of new games in 2019.

at the end of the day all Nintendo is doing is giving people more choice, missed or want to play the Wii U gems? then here you in portable Switch format. this sort of thing isn't new worst thing Nintendo could do is leave these games be tied to the almost forgotten Wii U

It's not like you have to buy these ports if you don't want them or already have the Wii U versions, it's giving people more option.

There's still plenty of new games coming out next year

@BornInNorway81 Gotta say the Switch has alot better games then the Wii U not to mention far better third party support but aren't nothing wrong giving these Wii U games a 2nd chance/updated port.

Look at it this way, it makes them portable and it's not like Nintendo has never took games from an older console and re-released it on it's new system before same for Sony and Microsoft alot of the PS4 and XBone games in it's early years were just PS3 games with slight improvements.
