@Ryu_Niiyama could be. Or maybe with Japan's love of Minecraft MS is getting the word out on gamepass. I'll be totally honest - until SF6 came out I wasn't interested in the xbox this gen. It dropped and I chose that one because of Sony's abhorrent showcase. I had no idea what gamepass even was. It never occurred to me to look it up - because why would I?

Now I have it - and I get it. It is a rock solid console in terms of function and reliability (from what I've read ps vs ms). Maybe the Japanese are the same way.

74,000 copies is pretty ballin' for week 3 in Japanland.
I did recently read that the game was $40 over there while a game like FF16 was $70. I would have picked it up right away at that price as well - no hesitation.

Strong yes. They should also cut out about half of their pipeline and make great games again. Hire some graphics people and artists. Take a few more breaks.

Nothing in this article led me to think this will enhance the game at all. S/V completely turned me off to the series. My two young children, who were pokemaniacs before, have moved on as well.

I thought everyone was too harsh on Sword/Shield. I really enjoyed that game in my 300 hours. Arceus? I was like a prophet telling anyone who would listen of it's glories.

I hate this game. I got around 40% complete and don't know if I'll bother ever going back. I at the very least finished every Mon before it (except for 3DS era). It is a very odd feeling for me.

Lol, hell no. You can get this game for next to nothing on a constant basis and it is the very definition of publisher/developer laziness. Anyone who buys this is contributing to the decline.

EU/NA no contest here. I don't understand why the vote isn't 100%. That is one of the most recognizable boxes in the entire history of video games. The Asian versions whimper mediocrity.

@dartmonkey I propose either not having a list when there are only 4 games or just having the 4 games. I agree having each version is very pointless. There isn't any difference worth noting as a separate category.

@LXP8 every site. Best Final Fantasy- FFXVI was voted in the top 3 like a day after it's release. After a few years 16 will be on the bottom of every list.

From the description in the article I cannot see how whatnot isn't actively promoting gambling. I'm forward this article to my state for an investigation into inter-state gambling - specifically targeting children and the feeble of mind.

I have the ability to get my state legislature involved in this. I am sick and tired of my country's wanton promotion of gambling as an economic force.

@StrawberryTurtle the demo nintendo put out for 4 is shockingly large. It is about as good a demo that exists. I believe it carries over save data as well if you end up getting it.

@johnedwin Ah yes. Collecting carts. I bet the majority of the world's 129 Million switch owners are avid cart collectors and are interested in reselling their copy of Mario Kart 8 they were given for Christmas to buy Bayonetta 3.

Sony users don't collect discs because they like sony best of all and switch users do collect carts because they like nintendo best of all. and reselling. I need to tell my 100 digital nintendo games THAT THEY DONT BELONG.

Sony sells most of their games digitally. But it seems you have no idea how Nintendo sells their games. You simply assume.

Just got back from the new TMNT movie - it was MUCH better than SMB. Really cool flick. I expected to like it but ended up liking it more than I thought I would. 2nd best movie of 2023 to Asteroid City for me.

I don't think it will catch the ps2. A price cut depends on what the switch 2 is really. If it's a switch 2 then yes. If it is a home console only then no.

@Sequel It for sure means This game is defo not a bust. I'm making the assumption now it will be the series biggest hit.

@Dark_Knight it wasn't always the case. During the PS2 era all of the quirky weird japanese games were on the PS. Then Sony abandoned their home country for the almighty western dollar. They had both now they don't. They made their bed.

The last Nintendo Games I'll be buying for the switch in 2023 are Wonder, Pikmin 4 and Wario Ware.

Sea of Stars, Forza and Starfield on the X. That is going to finish out the year and then just playing what I have.

@SoIDecidedTo If I am the person being referenced as to making a point - I wasn't trying to make a point on culture. I was simply observing what is in front of our eyes.

Disney is placed squarely in the culture war and it is clearly hurting their bottom line. That isn't me personally drawing a line in the sand and stepping on a side - just making an observation.

It is the other people who making their own culture claims - as they so very often do. It is so predictable and tiresome.

The opposite happened to me. I ordered a copy of Mario Kart to replace one lost by some brat or another at my house - and Amazon sent me MK8 plus a shrink wrapped copy of the Raystorm collection. They never said anything and neither did I.

@HeeHo I have the switch nano enhanced (it's like a miniature pro for kid hands) and it has been a pretty decent controller.

@Teksetter they possibly might have been trying to market the cartoon more though. The only Mickey show with the traditional mickey is Mickey's Clubhouse and that is for toddlers.

I wasn't a collector of the systems I didn't absolutely love until recently. I got rid of so many cool games and consoles. The Wii, PS1/2, Sega Master System...the Jaguar and Turbographix 16.

It hurts my heart when I think about what I threw or gave away.

I did keep most of 360, GBA and DS stuff though.

@Serpenterror I have little kids and everyone in their class is still way into it. It's Pokemon it will probably last another 20 years or longer. Generational evergreen - the final Evergreen Evolution.
