Sure why not? That way we won't have to have Mario Kart 9 / Super Smash 5 until next generation. This in my opinion is something that should have happened at Nintendo in the Wii / DS Era.

She's sooo bad at mario kart but sooooo HOTT!

The 3D, portability, second screen AND lower cost more than makes up for playing last gen tech on a big screen.

That said, I don't know if i should drop the cash on this title since i have a bad habbit recently of not being able to finish lengthy games.

Retro's DK games ARE 3D just side scrolling 3D.

I miss f-zero, but i think nintendo is trying to consolidate their franchises into one maybe. Sometimes i think their mindset is "Why do we have two racing game universes?" I love mario Kart, but i would have much rather had F-Zero over Mario Kart being their primary racing series.

I agree completely, the wii u is a fantastic system and i think it will be one of those systems that alot of people look back on in the futre and think "Wow, that was a weird yet cool console." Much like how people look at the Sega Dreamcast (A fantastic console that was tragically cut short in it's lifespan.) Not saying nintendo is going the way of Sega since sega was in much worse finacial shape than nintendo is in. Just saying it's gonna be one of those highly underrated consoles that future generations may re-discover and find enjoyment out of and maybe regret never picking it up.

Maybe the next Mario Kart will be like a fusion of F-Zero X Mario Kart, since the karts can hover now too. Like have the F-Zero characters mixed in with the Mario Cast and Tracks from both series

The Mii DLC would be worth it if we could use our Miis online. I would liked to see a "Mii Arena" mode as DLC where you can only use Miis online or something.

Mewtwo, the Cat Mii costumes and the Monkey Mii Costumes are by far the coolest. I SOOOOOOOO wish we could play our Mii's online

I feel like there are soooo many other characters that would be way cooler than Banjo & Kazooie... It was a good game (i still own both to this day) but not Smash Bros. Level. Just my opinion.

people keep mentioning NX but I REALLY don't think NX is going to be a successor to the Wii U, I think it's either going to be a successor to the 3DS or a third platform. Here is to hoping a bunch of lesser franchises (F-Zero, Kid Icarus ect) get the much needed love they deserve in place of zelda for the holidays.

I would hate to play Sm4sh on this model. There are times when the camera zooms out pretty far and it's actually quite hard for me to see what is going on during those moments so I can only Imagine how tiny the fighters would be during such moments on that smaller screen...

yeah lets not do a zelda tv show. Nor a metroid movie either. Hell they couldn't even get Mario right back in the 90s with his movie.

I don't think we will necessarily see an "all-in-one" console / handheld transforming console. I think what we will see is a new handheld that runs on an operating system that is identical to the consoles operating system, with unified connectivity. Perhaps able to stream from the handheld to the TV or Console to Handheld. Also all virtual console games could be shared on either system which would be great.

I am surprised that this game didn't come to Wii U, but I don't think it's as big of a deal as what people are making it out to be. It's not like Pokemon Z is being released for the Playstation Vita. I imagine that Sega was the dominant roll in choosing the consoles that this title would be released on.

Could use its own range of amiibo or use the smash or mario universe amiibo's for in game clothing or weapons since the game apparently has it's own brands.

@97alexk I know it makes me feel weird owning a Wii U, something apparently not even Nintendo employees own! It reminds me of when someone asked Reggie if virtual boy games would be coming to the 3DS Virtual Console and his reply was something along the lines of "I don't have any experience with the Virtual Boy" Made me feel closer to Nintendo than the President of NoA since i own a virtual boy... xD

@MyBodyIsReggie I agree man. I wish Nintendo would just put virtual boy on virtual console (the name even fits). It would give some people a chance to experience the classic virtual boy games who may have missed them (even though there was only a few games worth playing.) I think Nintendo is just too ashamed and embarrassed to put the virtual boy games on the e-shop. But I see constant references to the virtual boy on 3DS games in easter egg form so maybe it's a hint!

Starfox Adventures would be amazing, but we will probably never see that game re-released since it was co-developed by Rare (who has been bought out by Microsoft). So I imagine it will suffer the same fate as Donkey Kong 64.

Perhaps Robin Williams inspired them (for his work in the Jumanji movie) as The Legend of Zelda Inspired the name of Robin Williams' daughter, like Nintendo giving a small tribute since they probably knew he was a big fan of the series.
