Re: Talking Point: Does It Bother You That Big Games Companies Are Using GenAI?

BranSmith

Unless the entire game is built off it meaning no human work done at all, then no. I honestly don't really care if a game has GenAI or whatever AI. Depending on the use, it could help/assist development which could eliminate "crunch". Kuro Games with Wuwa for example. Through Tencent they use a program called VisVise and that help's speed up the process of with character rigging and skinning which would take us humans' weeks/month to do depending on how complex it is.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown On Switch

The one thing I keep seeing people get wrong about this game is the fact that this is a port. It's not. The game was built with Switch first then ported to other systems. That would explain why the game runs at the switch's maximum resolution and frame rate. I'm hoping EA does this with tales on kenzau but I don't have my hapes up for them. Anyway Prince of Persia demo is an absolute joy and I cannot wait for my physical version to arrive.

Re: PSA: Minecraft Bug Prevents Game From Loading On Switch

I haven't run into this issue, but the fact still remains that every update since Bedrock Edition launched for Switch, the performance and bugs that occur have been steadily increasing and its increasingly annoying to play the game. Game doesn't run smooth unless the Render distance is at its lowest, not to mention 1.18 lowered the maximum distance from 14 to 12. This game desperately needs an optimization/performance patch asap.
