I've never played a FE game. While this isn't a "real" FE game I'd still buy it, but with Odyssey, Doom, Skyrim, etc, coming out for the rest of the year, there won't be enough time to play them all.
If there's a lull next year between games I may pick this up. Until then...just not enough time or money!
Not at this point. I got to the boss in level 2, which seemed pretty tough just trying it once, then Steamworld Dig 2 came out. Then Wulverblade. Haven't gone back yet & Odyssey is just around the corner.
Maybe sometime in winter when I have time to get back to it. The story expansion pack would be cool.
@JaxonH Exactly. Any interest at all just buy it. The companies that do support Switch then will come back for more and those that don't may regret it.
@FragRed I thought the same. Glad this is coming out for the Switch and soon, but my first thought was geez, what is this a week before Skyrim? Ideally, it'd be nice to have a gap so I can finish one and jump right into the next.
But a minor complaint really, I'm happy both are coming to the Switch at all. Will be buying both day 1. Cant wait, less than a month!
This game was completely off my radar, but saw a review of it on Switch Force which peaked my interest and after reading this article I think I'll download it tomorrow. Another game I'll have to finish this winter, as I'll be splitting time with this and Steamworld Dig 2, Odyssey coming up, & might get Fire Emblem Warriors too.
Looks like Bethesda did what they could with the Switch, though some are complaining about the frame rates. Looks to me like Doom will rock but I haven't played it yet so I don't know. But so far I'm impressed with Bethesda and will buy Doom day 1.
Might have been willing to give this game a chance but the delay is too off putting. Same with Rime. I'm for sure taking a pass on these two. If a delay is a month or two no problem, like with Steamworld Dig 2, but when it's months on end its a for sure no for me.
I just got my Switch and a modded Nes Classic (91 games) I bought earlier in the year and haven't played since Switch came out. Yeah there's so much coming out this holiday season. Odyssey, Fire Emblem, Skyrim, Doom, Xenoblade 2, Resident Evil, Rocket League & various indie's along the way. Will be a busy winter for sure.
Nothing for me this week. With all the hype surrounding Stardew Valley I would normally get it but I've got too much to finish already. I'm pretty far into Steamworld Dig 2, only about 1/3 of the way through Mario & Rabbids, and still haven't tried the new fighter in Arms. I'll be buying Odyssey and Fire Emblem soon, ah so much to do!
Like others there are just way too many games I'll be buying this year. I'd like to buy this since the price is right and there is so much hype surrounding it. But I probably won't.
I see there is a farming simulator game coming out later this year. Wonder how that compares to Stardew Valley. I might wait to find out.
Good news. I bought a modded NES Classic earlier in the year. It has 91 games. While this and my Switch have given me hours of good times, I don't have the money or the time for another system.
But IF I were interested in a SNES Classic, I would wait for the entire gaming library to be available. Costly if you can't mod it yourself, but at least you can play any game at any time instead of just 21.
Fun game. Great for when you want to play a game but not one too involved. Can play this for a short time period and actually make progress in the game.
A maybe on Golf Story but if I buy it it'll be later. I have about 8 Switch games so far and have beaten none of them. Lots of catching up to do this winter. Will also be getting Odyssey and Fire Emblem in October.
Great game, having a blast. Would've paid at least $30 for this game, they should charge more next time which will help them get bigger and come out with more games. Would like to see their past games come out on Switch.
SD2 for me for sure, a maybe on the Lego Ninjago. If I got the Ninjago it would be a physical copy. Haven't seen any reviews on it so not sure if its something I'd like. I don't think I can hold out for a physical copy of SD2, or I would.
@BensonUii That's a great idea. When I read the 6 hours part I thought there might not be enough there for a physical release, but if they include those games then that would make it worth while. Hope they consider it!
I've been a fan since this game was announced. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I want a physical release of this game, which hasn't even been announced yet. Will I be able to hold out, or will I download it day 1? I don't know yet, but can't wait to play this game.
I played my only Doom game on the Atari Jaguar um...maybe 2 decades ago? Nah but it's gotta be at least 15 years ago. This will be cool & be like a new game to me. Day 1.
Looks like a great game. Would've bought it had it come out earlier, like late May/early June. Not much competition then. Now with so many good games coming out it probably won't make the cut. SD2, FE Warriors, & Odyssey will empty my game budget the next month & a half.
Never played it or even heard of it till Switch came out. Will be day 1 for me. Can't wait. Hope it's like a Turok Dinosaur Hunter with better graphics & larger world. That's what I played back in the college dorms. Ah, if it were 1997 again...
It'd be nice to touch on what's ahead for the beginning of 2018. We know most or all of what's coming out through the holiday season, but it would be nice if they announced some specific dates we don't know yet. I'm okay if they talk about a port or two, if I haven't played it its new to me.
45 min is a lot of time to talk about things we already know. I'm expecting a few big announcements.
Bought the Switch day 1 & haven't regretted it. Botw & Mk8 were great the first few months. Arms was fun & my nephews loved it table top mode while we vacationed. Mario + Rabbids has been a surprise hit. Steamworld dig 2 in a couple weeks. Fire Emblem & Mario Odyssey next month. This winter I'll be indoors finishing them all. Great year for Nintendo!
Looks nice but I don't think we got a look at the gameplay in the video, just sequences inbetween. I'm thinking maybe, but honestly with so much else coming out next month through the end of the year, not sure I'll have the time.
I hope Nintendo can start putting Switch's on store shelves this month. September is the beginning of the avalanche of awesome games coming out this year. This will continue through the holiday season, so however many Switch's they get out, that's how many will sell. 18 million year one, lets go!!!
Good. The more quality games we get the less likely I'll be downloading 8 & 16 bit games off the eshop. Pretty soon it'll be only games pushing the Switch forward, not back.
@DragonEleven Nintendo will not "continue producing them in batches until the demand dries up". They will produce enough to artificially inflate demand and not everyone will get one.
Having said that I'm glad I got my NES Classic earlier this year. I played it for a couple of months and Nintendo Switch wiped out any interest I had in it. I won't even try for a SNES Classic. It'll pale in comparison to all the games coming out for the Switch this Christmas season.
I am Setsuna for $26? Is my math right? All things being equal I'd rather have a physical copy but with this discount I think I might be downloading it this weekend. Sweet!
I'm thinking like some here are, lots of games coming out late this year. A few were delayed, a few are coming out later than I thought they would, so there's a lot of options after August.
I've read mixed reviews on this game, not sure this will make the cut for me. Maybe Lego Ninjago though.
No worries. If I decide to buy the snes mini I'll buy it on ebay when it's modded with ALL the snes games rather than just 21. Just like I did with the NES classic. Expensive, but worth it.
Would love to get this game but I don't have internet at home & I'm not getting it just for video games. If internet were $10/month yes but it isnt. Maybe some time in the future though.
An interesting side note. Went to my local Walmart and 3 Nintendo Switch units were out. Wow! The first Switches I've seen since launch day. You might still be able to snag one if you travel to Marshfield, Wisconsin.
I got the nes classic off of ebay for just under $200 earlier this year. It came modded with 90 games and an extra controller, but still expensive. I also bought a Switch on the day it came out. Not interested in this one yet, I'll pass. One more for you guys to have.
Not sure if I'll buy it or not, but I'd like to see Turok Dinosaur Hunter on it if I do. My college roommate and I would play that through the night instead of doing homework. Good memories.
This is exclusive to Switch right? I'd like to support this so more 3rd party developers do the same. Yeah toys to life aren't what they were, but we don't have to buy anything extra. Not saying this is definite for me but I'll be watching updates on this game. Interested.
Once I get out of work, I'm going to download Death Squared and get the Arms update and test out Max Brass this weekend. I haven't heard or seen a video of the other games available this week. Since so many of you are into De Mambo I'll have to look into that one.
This looked like a winner from the start but I wasn't completely sure. Glad it got a positive review here. Think I'll get it today or tomorrow. Another option while waiting for the Mario/Rabbids game.
Somehow I never played this game all these years. When it was announced Steamworld Dig 2 will be delayed I wondered what I'd play for the rest of summer. I'm not getting Splatoon 2 since I don't have internet at home. I decided to give Cave Story a try. While I'm happy with it, its a game that looks like it belongs on Super Nintendo. Most of the indie games seem to be like this, which is why I won't be buying many.
Once fall comes, there won't be a shortage of games for me to play since quite a few will be coming out. Can't wait.
I'm still liking Arms but I don't play as often as I did Mario Kart or BOTW. If I have trouble winning a fight, like fighting the same person 3 times and I keep losing, I'll put it away and move onto something else. But I do come back for more later.
I do like saving up $ to get more Arms.
I've got to get off of Kid Cobra, he's really the only character I've played so far. Once I win this current tournament I'm playing I'll start using the other characters more. Max Brass will be interesting, looking forward to the update.

Wulverblade and Steamworld Dig 2. An indie weekend while drinking my homemade beer! (is that indie beer?)

A third party developer would sell this for $60, maybe depending on how big/long the game is. $20 is fine with me!
