I've never bought dlc before and am so on the fence about the Animal Crossing dlc. I STILL play it almost daily & am so happy with the game. Do I go the extra mile & buy the dlc, which could disappoint, or just keep playing the original content, which makes my day. Decisions decisions...

Can't believe all the people that are giving Nintendo a pass this year because of the flu. Didn't know so many boomers were here. 😅

Having said that, seems like the last few years have had weak first halves. But at this point in the year there's usually an idea of what the future holds. Right now there isn't, which makes me fear there's nothing. Or at least not much. It's been pretty sad.

I bought Cadence and I haven't bought a Switch game since Octopath. Having a good time with it so far, no regrets on $25 for a great game.

I haven't bought a game since Octopath, think that was last year November. Cadence for me tonight! Seems like it'll be a nice, laid back game, with Link & Zelda so yeah sign me up. Hope it'll get me back into gaming more.

So glad I grew up in the 80's. We were an era of alpha males that were not only not offended by boobs, we celebrated them as you can see from the movies of our time. This looks like a game my generation would enjoy.

Haven't bought a single game this year. Lets see how long I can go. I know a lot are excited for Shakedown Hawaii though. Decent week.

Cuphead looks great but since its supposed to be a tough game I wonder if I'll get stuck, put it down, & never come back to it. Katana Zero is a maybe. With warmer weather on the way, I haven't been in the mood to sit inside & play the Switch. Maybe next winter.

After 9 months off, I'm getting back into brewing beer. Good beer too, commercial quality. Also with the weather warming up, I'll be hiking a lot more in parks. A friend is getting me into shooting and I'll be buying a gun soon. Would rather do all that than play Switch games, but who knows, maybe next winter I'll get back into gaming.

Me too on both counts. Maybe if I'm really wanting to play something down the road, and this is $40, then I might be in. Looks like a decent game, just not sure its $60 for me.

I'm just not into my Switch lately and am wondering if I'm just tired of gaming altogether. Octopath is my game of choice, I'm on the level 3's, but I haven't played for a couple weeks.

A nice announcement from this Nindie. Wish it would come in the first half of this year since Nintendo isn't releasing anything but Yoshi, though I'm not hopeful. There does look to be a few good nindies though that'll help me through this first half of emptiness.

I expected nothing so I came away pleased. Best nindie so far. Cuphead, Pedro, Red lantern, & Cadence have my interest.

I havent been impressed with a nindie yet. I would expect disappointment, but my expectations are so low I doubt I'd be disappointed. I'll probably give it an eyeroll when it's over & never give it another thought for the rest of my life.

Not interested in mobile. Still playing original on Switch. Im 45 hours in. By far it's my favorite game. Hope to beat it before the next comes out. I'm a casual gamer, only play a few hours a week & don't play much at all in the summer.

Let's talk about Nintendo's game of the year: Daemon Machina X. I'm on the 2nd mission in the demo & it's looking pretty amazballs. When do you think it's coming out? Can't wait! 😃👍

When I eventually buy a house, there will be a room I call the "lego room". My Star Wars sets will be on display and would be thrilled if Nintendo would partner up with Lego and come out with a few sets. Zelda first, then Mario, then maybe Samus.

Finally! I haven't bought a game since Octopath Traveler. Many looked good but not enough to get me to buy. Toe Jam & Earl will give me a break between completing all the Level 2's in Octopath. Hope its worth the wait.

Tetris is a great game. The fact that it has gone on for this long, experiencing different iterations, proves it. My favorite Tetris game was on the 64. It had a world theme and the more you played the more you built around the world, like the pyramids. It was a blast.

Tetris 99 looks great & to think its free is pretty cool. Still not enough to make me get an internet connection where I live though. Would rather keep my bills low.

Tressa's level 2 in Octopath & Daemon Machina demo.

Its a game that wouldn't make much sense from Nintendo's point of view. Why would they make a game similar to Mario Kart? It would be less in comparison so why bother? We're a couple years out from the port to Switch so why not work on a Mario Kart 9 instead that includes the Star Fox crew?

This was a pleasant surprise. I was disappointed I won't be playing the Metroid Prime trilogy when I'm finally done with Octopath Traveler, but this game should make up for it. Can't wait!

Awesome, this is one I'm happy about but I didn't see the Direct. Where's my Metroid Prime trilogy??? No one has mentioned it yet and not seeing any stories on it.

@nintendobynature Me too, for some reason I keep coming back to this site even though I know the Direct hasn't started. Like to read people's comments and expectations.

That Prime trilogy would be so cool. Would be so psyched for it, though I'm only on Level 2's in Octopath, so its not like I need it now, but would like to be able to get it in a couple of months.

Metroid Prime Trilogy for me. Its really all I need though a 2D Zelda would be icing on the cake.

I've been playing nothing but Octopath for the longest time (took a few months off the Switch), so if the Prime Trilogy comes out, I can see there being an entire year where I play nothing on the Switch but Octopath, MP trilogy, & Rocket League. Fine by me!

I haven't bought a game since Octopath. I'll buy the Fire Emblem game coming out, but expecting that to be delayed. Yoshi...maybe. Last year's first half was really slow too. Now, back to Octopath!

And because I never played a Metroid Prime game (I was in college at the time and too busy) and didn't pick up the trilogy on Wii, I am so looking forward to a trilogy port. A must have this year!

I've only played Steamworld Dig 2 and it was great. SWD3 would be nice but I'm hoping for something totally new.

When my nephews & I are together for holidays we play some car soccer! Rocket League is a blast & inexpensive.

What a shame. My youngest nephew is getting a Switch for Christmas, a huge surprise for him, he's going to go nuts. He loves dinosaurs, this would've been a game I'd pick up for him. But not now.

Though I think the review should've had a lower score based on the footage I've seen of it on YouTube, the reviewer is right in that no matter how many patches come out, this game won't ever be completely fixed. Terrible port that should never have happened.

I just bought Hollow Knight cuz it was on sale, which I didn't really want to do in the first place because I just started Octopath & knew that would take me awhile. The Messenger looks awesome, definitely something I'm buying down the road, but right know I don't need to be buying more games to back log. Bonus is maybe I'll get a sale on it when the time comes.

Geez. I have such a backlog of games & just started Octopath. But for less than $10 this may be too hard to pass up. I'm a buyer.

Yeah, I'm no fan of 1-2 Switch but am happy to see it as a pack-in game at essentially no cost to the consumer. At least it demonstrates what the joy-cons can do and may make the system look a little more interesting going forward to new owners.

Mario Tennis Aces...I haven't played it yet but from reviews I've seen people are pretty happy with it. If this bundle were $300 I could see it moving pretty good, but at its current price some will inevitably think "Well why can't I have BOTW, or Odyssey, or Splatoon 2"?

Would buy for my nephews for Christmas. Lego & Nintendo should look into an entire line of Mario, the mushroom kingdom, & all enemies over the years. Bet it would sell well.
