Can't wait for this but would prefer a physical release.
This was going to be my big game of the summer...now what??? I'm not that excited for Splatoon 2 since I don't have internet at home. Hmmm...guess I could get back to my NES classic. It's modded with 90 games.
Though I doubt I'll buy it I selected A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, & Mega Man X.
I already bought a Switch & a NES classic this year. I don't need a 3rd system. So one more out there for the rest of you to buy. Looks cool though. 30 games would've been nicer. Are the controller cords super short again?
Nope I'll pass. I already bought 2 systems this year. A NES classic modded with 90 games and a Switch. Don't need a third, though it looks cool. Maybe when someone mods it to include more games & I get tired of the other two.
I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere U.S. I was one of maybe 10 people that went to a local Target when they opened on launch day. They sold out that day & never got anymore in.
I wonder how much their competition with Apple for parts plays a roll in the shortage. As long as Nintendo can make Switches they will sell out. So it comes down to how much they can make. Hope they can make their 16 million goal for year 1. If so they will sell 16 million & there still won't be any on store shelves.
Nintendo is still doing well despite the Switch shortage. I think they have to get their supply issues straightened out by the end of summer though, otherwise their numbers won't come in as expected by the end of the year, which would mean 3rd parties would be less interested in making games.
I bought Arms on Sunday, great game. Very happy so far with my decision to buy a Switch on day 1. All I need is one new good game a month and they've delivered and will continue to do so into 2018.
Sweet! Then its a day 1 buy for me. Just got Arms and love it, Splatoon 2 is coming soon, and Steamworld Dig 2 is supposed to be out soon too. This will be a good summer from Nintendo!
This actually looks pretty interesting as I'm into puzzle games. $20 on other systems...we'll see what it costs on Switch. If its $20 I'll get this one, and it comes out soon. Nice!
I remember playing Doom on my Atari Jaguar. Syndicate was a cool game too.
If they jumped into counsels now I can't imagine them being successful. Playstation and Xbox are for true gamers and Switch is incredibly successful so far with more casual gamers and the younger generation. I don't see Atari making much of a dent but good luck!
A maybe for me. Used to love lego games but they followed a certain formula & I just got tired of them. If this comes out in an off month then maybe. We'll see.
Nintendo killed it. I was expecting to be underwhelmed. Instead they exceeded expectations. Metroid, Kirby, Yoshi, & new rpg Pokémon were icing on an already good cake. Those in addition to the games this year: Zelda botw, Mario Kart 8 deluxe, Arms, Splatoon 2, Odyssey, Monster Hunter & non nintendo games like Skyrim & Steamworld Dig 2. Nintendo is making a huge comeback & the Switch won't be on store shelves for a long time.
Zelda botw, Mario Odyssey, Metroid Prime 4, Skyrim, and many more. That and Nintendo supposedly having some trouble getting the parts to make the Switch is going to leave the store shelves bare well into 2018.
I have to admit Odyssey looked good. I saw a clip though including Bowser and rolled my eyes. Time for a new enemy Mario. Was SMB #2 the last time he didn't fight Bowser? Would like to see Donkey Kong get back in there or someone new. Will probably still buy though.
Only way Mario Odyssey would be good for me is if they take a break from Bowser & his kids as the main enemy like they did in #2 with the Toad King. Maybe have Donkey Kong & family as the enemy or somebody totally new. Otherwise it'll feel like another remake of SMB 3.
Hope they spend very little time on Arms & Splatoon & focus mainly on games coming out the last 3rd & 4th of the year. Hope there's 1 or 2 cool games coming out then that we haven't heard about, even if they're ports.
A little blurb of a new Metroid game coming out in 2018 would take it from a decent show to a great one.
This will be a great summer. All releases considered, my summer top 3 list is #3 Splatoon. Lukewarm so far but I think it's cuz I'm so into my first choice. #2 Steamworld Dig 2. Can't wait for this one looks great! Like others I haven't heard any updates on the release date. #1 Arms. Will be fun to learn. Almost disappointed I'll be on vacation when it's released.
Enjoyed the testpunch even though I wasn't any good at it, won just 1 match and tied another. Many losses, but I didn't really know the controls well. It doesn't matter anyway, I'll be buying this the first weekend it comes out & will learn the moves. Looks to be a great game!
Maybe. I can see playing Arms and Splatoon 2 online and it being worth the $20 a year, but a year from now I'll be tired of those games. Depends on what games I'm into at the time. $20 isn't a bad deal though.
I'm looking forward to trying Byte and Barq out on Arms. I'm not sure who my favorite fighter is yet, will play them all and find out for myself who my #1 is. Will buy Arms day 1, can't wait!!

I was in college then. Turok Dinosaur Hunter, Killer Instinct, & Mario Kart. Always kept me & my roommate away from homework.

This and a new Kirby, sweet. Nintendo exceeded my expectations. Congrats Nintendo, good E3.

@TommyRabbit
I agree with everything said. I'll just add that I would like to see a date for Steamworld Dig 2.
Looks like I'll be buying about a game a month for the Switch, which makes me happy. A really good 2017 for Nintendo.
