Review EA SPORTS FC 26 (Switch 2) - A Fantastic Football Game, Once You're Used To The Frame Rate
Well worth a Lewandownload
EA’s football series has had a turbulent time on modern Nintendo consoles, as any long-time Nintendo Life reader will doubtless already know. When the Switch got its first entry in the form of FIFA 18, this very reviewer pointed out that it was essentially a port of the Legacy Edition on Xbox 360 and PS3 at the time,...

Guide Best Nintendo Switch 1 & 2 Football Games
We mean Soccer, not that 'other' football
We hear a large international football tournament has just kicked off, so what better time to revisit this list, shove a slice of orange in its mouth, and give it a spritz of the ol' magic spray, hmm? 30 60 years of hurt never stopped us dreaming! We've subbed a few younger players into the squad — which...

UK Charts Star Fox Dips As World Cup Fever Takes Hold
Red card, no backsies
The latest UK Charts data is in, and as World Cup fever seemingly takes hold as we approach the quarter-finals, EA SPORTS FC 26 has once again grabbed the gold. Meanwhile, Star Fox has slipped down to fourth place, just behind Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. Still a pretty good result for its second week on the market, mind...
News Switch Online's June Game Trial Kicks Off With EA Sports FC 26
Cup fever
Nintendo is joining in on the World Cup celebrations this month with a new game trial for Switch 2 and Switch systems. It's for EA Sports FC 26, allowing Switch Online members to put their "dream squad" to the test in local and online multiplayer. You can also lead your team through challenges based on real-world scenarios or develop a...
UK Charts FF7 Rebirth Falls Off A Cliff As FC 26 Returns To The Top Spot
Materi-aaaaargh
The latest UK Charts data is in folks, and it's actually a pretty uneventful week that sees no new titles in the top 40. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which debuted at number 2 last week, has fallen off a cliff this time around to land at number 30. It's not a surprise in the slightest, mind you – most people keen to pick up Rebirth...
UK Charts Tomodachi Life Stands Strong As Pragmata Falls Off A Cliff
Swings and roundabouts
The latest UK boxed charts data is in, and it seems World Cup fever might be starting to take hold with EA SPORTS FC 26 climbing its way back to number 1. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream now finds itself back at number 2, but it's clear the game is maintaining good sales after its launch on 16th April. On the flip side,...
UK Charts Pokémon Pokopia Is Starting To Prove Its Staying Power
But RE Requiem reigns supreme
The latest UK Charts data is in, and Pokémon Pokopia has turned in a solid performance this week to land at number 2. We can only imagine that stores have finally been provided with adequate stock to satiate demand – hardly the most compelling reason for the game's jump up to second place, but we'll take it. If...
UK Charts Mario Galaxy Jumps Up The Rankings Thanks To A Big-Screen Boost
Movie Star
After a short pause for the Easter Bank Holiday, this week's UK charts are finally in, and no, it's not the most surprising ranking this time. The top 10 is much as you might expect, with EA SPORTS FC 26 holding onto the top spot once again, and Switch 2 hits like Mario Kart World, Pokopia, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A hanging around with...
UK Charts Mario Wonder Storms Into The Top Ten Following Switch 2 Release
Wonderful!
The latest UK Charts data is here, and it's mostly a bit of a wet lettuce this week, with EA SPORTS FC 26 taking the lead once again. However, the launch of Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the Switch 2 has helped the game storm back into the top ten to land at number 8. Quite a feat considering it was at number 29 last week. Switch 2...
News PEGI Targets Loot Boxes With Its New Overhauled Ratings System
No more 3+ EA Sports games
The Pan European Game Information (or PEGI for short) ratings system is officially getting a massive overhaul in an effort to target microtransactions, loot boxes, and mechanics that reward logging in for daily quests. It'll no doubt prove a huge blow to the likes of EA, which puts a lot of emphasis on it's 'Ultimate...

UK Charts Nintendo Holds 12 Spots In The All-Formats Top 40
Mario Kart cleans up (again) while Metroid drops
The last full week of 2025 UK charts data is in, and for the most part, it's a minor reshuffle of the usual suspects, with EA SPORTS FC 26 sitting pretty at #1 and Mario Kart cleaning up twice over and first-party Nintendo (published) games taking up more than a quarter of entries in the all-formats...

Cracking. Just started the BETA and graphically this is the same as FC25 on the original Switch. Not even a glimmer of difference. Very poor indeed.
