Alan Wake. It's been sitting in my backlog for a while now and I never played the game before. So far it's pretty good. The story is intriguing and I really want to see where it goes
This game got some really good reviews when it released. I was interested in it and will definitely check it out on Switch if the performance is up to par. I love weird games and horror so sign me up
Devolver Digital is the A24 of the game industry. Some of their products may not resonate with a lot of people but you can't accuse them of playing it safe. They are always publishing something that is weird, cool, and other publishers may not touch. This looks really cool in my opinion and I can't wait to see more of it.
I saw the trailer and didn't immediately think this was for an upcoming game. It looks like something that would be on Netflix or any other streaming service. So far it's just pretty generic and nothing to get excited about until we see more in my opinion
Good sales numbers so far. I still don't see any reason to personally get one right now. I really want a revised version with a better screen and battery. Until then I'll stick with my OLED.
I loved the first two games but was cautiously optimistic about this one. Everything I saw of it just didn't resonate with me as much as the other two. Looks like my feelings were justified. What a wasted opportunity to significantly expand/improve a really good franchise. I may pick this up on a steep discount
@GgGames I understand that but I have an issue with the people who are against piracy on any level. Some people want to play retro games and will never redistribute them. It's for private use only and there are some people who are still against that which is just ridiculous to me. Decades old games aren't hurting a corporation. Also a lot of people will never pirate a new game and don't even know how. A small group of people pirating games isn't going to bleed a corporation dry. Punish the pirates but don't ruin their life forever is my opinion
Watching people cheer for the billion dollar corporation is just so pathetic and ridiculous.ππ When Nintendo inevitably raises game prices again and blames it on "piracy" I'm sure some people will have no issues with that.π
If Nintendo could monetize AI without having any backlash, you know they won't hesitate to use it. I'm not a big fan of it myself but it does have a place in society if used ethically. Companies need to have clear plans for uses of it. I'm even okay with treaties being drawn up to regulate AI use and companies being severely punished if they deviate from it for nefarious reasons.
It's funny how Nintendo fans used to say they didn't care about hardware power/tech, but now a lot of them love it.π I also thought a lot of fans hated DF whenever they criticized anything Nintendo related?π€ Anyway this was an informative video to watch. It's going to be interesting seeing how much developers can squeeze out of this console in the next few years, especially with more powerful hardware looming in the horizon from other companies. Long term third party support hopefully won't be a problem
Bloober Team really knocked it out of the park with this game. A lot of people were rightfully nervous when they were announced as the developers. I personally felt they would be fine remaking such a classic and I'm happy it turned out well. Hopefully when/if it's ported to Switch 2, it doesn't struggle with any technical issues. It really is a superb game that more people should be able to play
@DJDano You're spreading misinformation. Over 85% of PS5 games have the full data on the disc. A mandatory install to the hard drive is required but you can play the game without having to download it from the internet unlike game key cards
Sonic Crossworlds is really good and blew away some expectations. Quite a bit of people are disappointed with MKW and I understand why. It is a downgrade from MK8 in a few areas. That game is almost perfect in my opinion and it was always going to be tough to top it with a new MK game. It's always funny watching some people lose it when anything Nintendo related is criticized. It's okay to like something else more and have an opinion. Nintendo fanboys really are some of the worst gamers in the industry. They take everything so personal and attack anyone who isn't groveling at the feet of this corporation. Grow up and realize it's not that serious. It's pathetic to defend a company that only cares about what's in your pocket
I'm still not seeing any games that makes me want to buy one. By the time the library is expanded hopefully a revised version is released. As of now I'm happy with my OLED and other gaming platforms
It's always interesting seeing some people defend game key cards and bash those who are against them. I understand why so many people hate them. It's not true physical media and is an excuse to snatch ownership away from gamers. That's not including the environmental impact of shipping thousands of pieces of plastic with no significant data on them. A lot of people aren't budging on their stance on this format and I don't blame them.
It looks amazing and runs well on other platforms. If you have other options, I would suggest getting it on something else besides the Switch unless you really want to play in portable mode and only have a Switch. Shame about the tech issues but the game is really good
Some of the people trying to justify the price for these 15 year old games are the reason why Nintendo is pushing the limits of what they can get away with regarding pricing.π These games aren't worth the high asking price in my opinion for minimal updates
@anoyonmus I never expected performance on par with those two consoles but some people did which I thought was delusional. I don't even think it's fully on par with a PS4 Pro. It can't maintain a consistent 60 fps for sports games, first party titles have technical issues early on, etc... The system seems to already be struggling with certain games that it shouldn't be in my opinion. I don't believe it's just an issue with developers and optimization either. It's going to be interesting seeing how things turn out the longer it's on the market and more demanding games being potentially ported over
This dev kit situation is just really weird. Did Nintendo not know they were launching a new console or something?π This is the kind of stuff that will make developers/publishers move on if things aren't rectified.
The people who keep defending this ridiculous format are looking more foolish by the day. These companies don't want you owning anything anymore and game key cards are a Trojan horse for that. But inevitably some people will say it's because of cost, game tech, etc...ππ It's about profits and anti consumer behavior, period. Thank Nintendo for ushering in this garbage.
Seems like these developers have never heard of an install?ππ I'm seeing way too many excuses on the need for game key cards and it's kind of ridiculous. In the end it boils down to taking control away from consumers, period. One of the worst medias ever created in my opinion. CD Projekt Red put a huge game on a cartridge with no issues but these other companies are having "issues" doing the same thing with their own games. I don't know what's worse, developers or some consumers making excuses for this ridiculous format.
The art direction for the environments in Pokemon games has always left me disappointed. This is a franchise that should go all out with it's designs in my opinion. The potential for creativity is sky high. With that said I definitely need to see more about this game before I decide to purchase it or not. Gamefreak has burned a lot of people with their most recent games.
Two devices that could be really useful for those who need/want them. I'm curious to see how they turn out when they are officially released and reviewed.
This looks like a good case and the price is very affordable too. I'm fine with my game cases lacking visual flair. It draws less attention to it in public
