Re: Video: Switch 2 Vs. Steam Deck System Face-Off, Digital Foundry Investigates

BLK_4EVER

@Ramouz Well said. A lot of Nintendo loyalists hate any kind of criticism their favorite console/games receive. DF has produced some pretty interesting and informative videos when it comes to the Switch 2 hardware and software. They have not trashed either and actually have praised some things Nintendo has done. But if it's not a 100% praise, some people get in their feelings. I really don't know why some people would get upset over what others say about a piece of plastic and glass. It's weird and immature in my opinion.

It would be nice if TPC, Game Freak, and Nintendo actually focused on putting out quality Pokemon games. Side projects are good, but the majority of people care about the video games and we know how bad the quality has been lately.πŸ₯΄ Just focus on the main course instead of the side projects in my opinion

Re: "Somewhat Mixed" - Digital Foundry Delivers Its Technical Analysis Of Donkey Kong Bananza

BLK_4EVER

Do some people not know what DF does? They don't "review" games/gameplay. They give the facts and technical analysis, period. I find their videos informative and entertaining. I don't know why some people have an issue with them. Are you upset because they don't shower endless praise on your favorite console(s) or games? Are you upset because their videos are too technical to understand?😐 I get it that some people care more about gameplay than pixels and frame rate. That's cool. But to bash DF for what they have always done when it comes to tech is just ridiculous and immature in my opinion.

Re: Nintendo Is Seeking Player Feedback On Game-Key Cards In Japan

BLK_4EVER

@johnedwin A lot of publishers aren't going back to full physical games no matter how low the costs of SD cards are in the future. They'll move the goalposts on why game key cards are still "great" for them and customers. In the end it's about snatching physical media ownership away from consumers.

Games with licensed music will always have the risk of losing a lot of the music rights when a remake/remaster happens years later. The GTA trilogy is one of the most notorious examples. It's cheaper for these companies to use newer music from up and coming artists rather than spend a lot of cash for Michael Jackson's, Aerosmith, Fallout Boy's, etc... catalog

@mikegamer Reminds me of how many people initially downplayed the joy con drift issue. There was a lot of "My joy cons are fine and I think others are either lying or it's user errors." They were in so much denial until the issue became so intense that Nintendo had to formally address it. And even then, some people still said it wasn't a "big deal".😐

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Director Acknowledges Performance Drops: "We Prioritized Fun And Playability"

BLK_4EVER

@Willo567 I'm glad you searched my comments. I'm not overly negative. I just don't blindly worship these companies like some of you people do. Any kind of criticism Nintendo gets is met with fierce backlash from the loyalists. Joy con drift, game key cards, performance issues, etc... I know you want to see nothing but praise for your favorite product or corporation(🀒) but that's not how the real world works. You can enjoy whatever you want because your standards are low and others can demand more from a product they dropped a lot of cash on. Anyway I'm done replying to some random online who doesn't get it. It's all good. Enjoy your day and reply back or not. I'm not responding anymore.πŸ˜‰

@N00BiSH Playing a demo isn't indicative of how the final product will be. Companies curate demos to put their products in the best light possible for the public. Game companies do it all the time. Saying a game is "fine" because of a small playable slice is kind of ridiculous. Nintendo knows people will notice issues with DK which is why they are trying to get ahead of any backlash by announcing performance issues now. Which is insane to even say something like this for an important game on your new hardware.

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Director Acknowledges Performance Drops: "We Prioritized Fun And Playability"

BLK_4EVER

@Willo567 I was disappointed with the performance issues with BOTW on the Switch. I kind of understood why because the Switch hardware was already outdated early in its lifespan. The Switch 2 is much more powerful and DK was originally in development for the original Switch also. I don't care if the frame rate drops are just a few. It's inexcusable in my opinion for an Nintendo first party game to have performance issues on new hardware.

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Director Acknowledges Performance Drops: "We Prioritized Fun And Playability"

BLK_4EVER

Comments are about what I expected. Imagine if Sony or Microsoft said Astrobot or Halo would have some performance issues before they launched them?😐 Some of you who are giving Nintendo a pass would rake other companies over the coals for saying something like this. I'll never understand being a blind fanboy to a company. People need to have some kind of standards. And this isn't the 80s or 90s anymore. Technology and developers are a lot more advanced today. A lot of games that are more intense than DK have released in a stable state. Either the Switch 2 isn't as powerful as Nintendo claims or the developers aren't good enough to make a game that runs in the best state possible. Either way, it's not a good look for Nintendo with their new console

@SalvorHardin If outlets don't give Nintendo a glowing review, some people get in their feelings. I agree with you. This was an informative video and DF just gave the facts. Sad how some people can't take off the fanboy glasses and accept valid criticism with their favorite company/companies.
