The upcoming Pokémon: Let's Go on Switch is all about revisiting the past as well as introducing new players to the origins of the series, and that means key characters are getting new looks - including the famous 'Elite Four'.
Inspired by Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition, the Kanto region seen in Let's Go has been given a serious visual update, and that means new looks for Lorelei, Bruno, Agatha, and Lance. You can check them out in the video above.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! launch on November 16th.

I don't see much change in the design, but I like it
Get a load of that Gym leader nostalgia! Sabrina's floating hair was a nice touch
I hate TPCi's continued marketing trend of "reveal everything of interest before the game's launch so there are no surprises left when you play it".
Not knowing about the inclusion of some characters would've been nice, though the Elite Four was obvious.
Hype intensifies!
I wouldn't say "new" looks. They look mostly the same as they did in yellow.
Now the inclusion of Red, Blue and Green... That's like super spoilers! C'mon Pokemon Company!
I get that it's a remake and all but would it hurt that much to leave something for the players to discover themselves?
Looks awesome.
Have we had any news on what the version exclusives are yet? I have heard that the version exclusives are the same as they were in Red and Blue BUT some have been swapped over.
They look like if they were 40 years pupils
@RupeeClock It’s either people complain about no content being shown or too much content being shown. I swear both happen with every mainline Pokémon entry.
@TheFanatic to be fair they have actually been revealing almost every little detail about the content of upcoming games for a few generations now.
It's kinda odd.
@Yosheel
Yes, such as revealing every mega evolution in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire prior to launch.
If you picked up the game hoping to discover more, tough luck.
@Yosheel I guess it’s been all about money for TPCI for a while. I mean, I can’t really blame them. PoGo increased their annual profit majorly, so now they need to ensure sales to prevent too drastic a drop. I stick with them because they haven’t become scummy in this regard yet, even though they are close. I’m sure there will be something hidden in the game, but it would be nice to just be surprised more.
This might be a small thing, but why does it seem like they are making a trailer for every single thing in the game? I know this happens with every Pokemon game, but at least most games have the benefit of having some Pokemon left for a secret (until they're leaked, of course.)
Edit: I understand I might be repeating the thoughts of others, so pardon my lack of originality.
While I'm not picking this game up, I do like the style. They did a good job bringing back some older characters in a new yet still cartoon-y style. Hopefully they use a similar style with more realistic character sizes (like in Sun and Moon) in 8th gen!
I have been lukewarm about this game with all the gameplay changes, but I am stoked at seeing Red, Green and Blue appear..! I know some people feel this is spoilery, but this is what I needed to feel interested in this game again I was upset thinking that new friendly rival had retconned Green away, but he still exists! I don't have a reason to be upset with him any more. Also cool to think these new trainers are following in the footsteps of their seniors from pallet!
I agree with a lot of people on the gameplay, it's not really pulling me in the way it could have. HOWEVER, I will be getting this game if only for the music. All the tracks we've heard so far have been amazing in my opinion.
There's really no winning on the issue of how much content to reveal. Unfortunately, the expectation has been set for Pokemon games that ALL content will have been revealed by launch. Any content held back is non-existent content as far as gamers are concerned.
You guys don't have to watch the video's of you don't want anything spoiled :v
Looking good! Nostalgia !
@Xaessya well I was expecting the video to be about the elite four.
@RupeeClock : And don't get me started on Alolan forms, which were only of Kanto Pokémon, and there were what? 12 of them?
BLUE?! KEN SUGIMORI RED?!?!?!?!?! GREEN FROM THE MANGA?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
When Nintendo doesn't reveal too much info: "Waaah Why is Nintendo being so secretive? They need to give us more info on the story, gameplay modes etc. !! Where's the hype?!?"
When Nintendo reveals a lot of info: " Waah Why is Nintendo revealing so much info?!? Can't they leave stuff to discover ourselves?!? I feel like I've played the game already!! "
😏
@RupeeClock agreed. I hope for the mainline games they leave a lot for us to discover. I mean honestly these games are just remakes of the first gen games so not really much to reveal in the first place. I do think all features should be shown off, but showing us all the cool locations, characters and new pokemon ruins the fun.
Preffer the old ones but hey nostalgia
I quite like the elements of the new designs. Very faithful, but with more flair.
Also, Green, Red, and Blue? Color me surprised.
Hopefully the next Pokemon game gets this same level of character treatment.
Video is gone?
