Last year there were whispers that Nintendo was planning to bring Game Boy games to its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service to join the existing libraries of NES and SNES titles, plus the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis catalogues available as part of the Expansion pack subscription tier.
Now, a leak seems to provide evidence that Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games may be hitting the service soon.
According to @trashbandatcoot on Twitter, files have been leaked onto 4chan which include a Nintendo-developed GBA emulator codenamed "Sloop" and a Game Boy emulator called "Hiyoko", both developed by Nintendo of Europe's NERD (Nintendo European Research & Development) team, the Paris-based subsidiary responsible for much of the company's emulation efforts in recent years — including the emulators in the Classic Mini consoles and the N64/GameCube/Wii emulation in Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
There was even video of the said Game Boy (Advance) emulator supposedly running on the console, although the account that posted it was quickly deleted.
Is this surefire proof indicating that we'll be playing Game Boy and GBA games on Switch in the nearish future? Let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

Whelp time to throw away my analogue pocket
The 3DS early ambassador's days of exclusivity are numbered!
....
Maybe.
....
Potentially.
....
Probably not.
Nice. Kuru Kuru Kururin and Ninja Five O! Amazing
This will be a much welcomed addition when it arrives later this year.
Hopefully this will be true!
If this is true, then I'm feeling like a direct could be happening this week or next, given that Nintendo also accidentally leaked Xenoblade 3's Key Art, which would usually be revealed along side the release date, due to being a piece of box art.
Never been on the site but most people say that 4chan is 'fake news' still wouldn't subscribe even if this is true because I can play every GB , GBC & GBA game on my snes classic for free
OK, Nintendo. You want me to upgrade to the expansion pack? GBA is how you get me to do that.
If it’s added it’s a matter of which NSO subscription it gets added to… Regular or Expansion Pack?
Ok so first Nintendo updated the XC3 art on their website, then Sonic Origins starts leaking online and now there is a leak for an official GBA emulator
I wonder if this means that we'll get a Direct soon espcially since there are many upcoming games the following months and Nintendo doesn't have to wait for E3
I suspect any additional consoles from this point on will require the Expansion Pack.
I mean, this is pretty cool for people who don't have an emulator on their PC, or an emulator on their phone, or an Everdrive flash cart, or a Revo K101, or... well, you get the idea.
@majinx07 possibly Gameboy and GBC to regular and then GBA to expansion? Which would suck because I only really want GBA.
Also I love how pirating always comes up in the comments as if people aren’t already aware you can do that. Sometimes it’s nice to play a Nintendo game on a Nintendo console officially. Just saying.
Reckon this points to an imminent Dirct?
those Golden Sun screenshots have me so excited. please let this be real.
I really hope this is true. Would probably motivate me to finally buy the expansion pack if that’s how it’s bundled.
@mariomaster96 Coupled with the fact we 'may' (and massive airquotes on may) be getting Pokemon news at around about the same time, it could very well happen. I'm kind of surprised nothing major has leaked about SV yet to be honest. Both SwSh and Legends had major dex leaks a couple of months prior to release and it seems nothing's happened yet.
This makes total sense, as the Switch is also a portable console and it could be a great chance to play the pokemon games on the GameBoy line and pass them onto Sword/Shield or Scarlet/Violet.
@Fizza Doesn't the Pokedex usually leak 1-2 weeks before release instead of months prior? Honestly I'm glad the Pokedex doesn't leak so early cause avoiding spoilers for 7 months or so would be aweful
Removed - inappropriate
too late for me.
I got all of the GBA games I need on the Wii U or they were rereleased in some other format
@mariomaster96 The in-game models, movesets and such yes, but in the case of Legends as an example, after the August Presents, a leaker by the name of Riddler Khu started putting out cryptic clues as to what the new Hisuian forms would be (you can actually go back to the Hisuian Voltorb article on NLife and check the comments to see for yourself). I had to word my YT searches very carefully so as to not get spoiled beforehand, it was ludicrous.
@GrailUK I doubt it’s going to be imminent, the cat was out of the bag for N64 games for quite a while yet that waited until September as I suspect this might too, although there is a strange update for NSO coming in the next few days so maybe..?
could this leaked GBA emulator indicate a Nintendo Direct is coming?
Would be fantastic if a general Direct is inbound very soon. Would be weird that they dropped a Three Hopes trailer last week if there's a Direct this week though at the same time promo for Mario Strikers (which launches 2 weeks earlier) has been nonexistent.
yay GBA on Switch Online
@CharlieGirl yep.
That’s definitely me. 😅
What will they make of it? GB and GBC for the basic subscribers and GBA for the Expansion Pack?
In other words I hope the games on the 3DS ambassador thing get on this supposed emulator.
Because the 3DS that I have the thing on had its battery not holding a charge for very long.
@Greatluigi Just buy a replacement battery, issue solved.
NINTENDO SWITCH ONLINE EXPANSION PACK..........TWO!!!
@GreatLuigi 3DS batteries are actually pretty easy to replace if you've got a small enough screwdriver
Oh my god? Oh my god!
Bait clicked.
I love GB games — I have a lot of the Virtual Console releases on 3DS — but the fact that classic games are tied to a subscription really annoys me. These games should be made available on cartridges — compilations like Sega Genesis Classics (but with better emulation, ideally).
all I see is "Pokemon - Trade"
They need to do a proper second stab at GBA and release the Kururin sequel this time.. don’t be crappy, Nintendo, by not doing this..
So THIS is why the 3DS and Wii U eShops are really closing....
Hold the heck up! Gameboy/GBA is not the biggest news here if I'm reading the graphic correct. Does that say freaking Random Matchmaking!!!! Will they finally allows us to play random people online for these classic games! Please tell me that is true!
Probably another expansion pass exclusive, and won't feature any mainline Pokémon.
I mean it was kind of inevitable with the whole expansion pass thing, assuming the switch lives for another few years I’m sure they want to pad the expansion pack up a bit to keep people subbed before dropping GameCube games considering that’s probably their last home console that will join NSO
I'd love GBA on Swirch Online
Wonder how much the sub will be?
Any chance Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald and Mother 3 will be among the games?
@Don A chance for the first three. Japan only for the fourth.
This is great but I really just want to play mario rpg on my switch, the wiiu is a hassle to dig up and hook up and i dont want to open my snes mini
I get the vibe that we will have a Direct coming in the next few weeks...
At first, we will get games we care, like Super Mario Land 1 and 2, Link's Awakening, Golden Sun and Metroid Fusion.
Then, Nintendo will somehow run out of games even though there are still hundreds of Game Boy and GBA games not on the service, and there are still a few of Nintendo's own games missing, and then we will only get boring reveals that are not necessarily bad games, it's just games that no one cared, even back in in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, even the bad games we want to play like Castlevania: The Adventure may not come.
Every time people freak out in "excitement" about a new emulator coming to the Switch I always go back into my old man ways of saying that no one ACTUALLY plays these games. They just enjoy making a big deal about the lack of them until they're actually on the console, and then they aren't played. So, I'm happy to see this eventually happen, but I'll probably open once or twice a year.
@phartsy Nintendo's service has a lot of potential, Game Pass is already doing great as a Netflix of videogames, Nintendo could do the same as a Netflix of retro games.
But with the games coming on a dropper, it will take years until this service is finally good, plus, it's likely that Nintendo will just have to start the library of this service from scratch when another Nintendo console comes.
❌️I hope this isn't true as I fear it will reduce the valuableness of my physical CIB GBA Games.
I have a Metallic Blue GBA: Micro which I love and a NES GBA:SP which I never use; I only bought it for its 'Super Mario Bros' Box that it came in.
Can't wait to see the JP app get Mother 3 while we get Iridion 3D or something.
But anyway, cool deal if true. I have a few ways to play these games officially and unofficially but it's super convenient having a little library of retro titles right on the Switch.
@VoidofLight not sure, back then the first leak of Mario 3D All Star was in January 2020. The game came out in September 2020. I'm pretty sure it will be for the June Direct. We didn't have one Indie Direct so far. I'm pretty sure we will have an Indie Direct before another General Direct.
Nah, this isn't true.
Sure, it's a GBA emulator. Which already existed on the Wii U. The Switch screenshots are clearly Photoshopped.
WOOOOOOO! LET'S GOOOOOOOO!
Y'all know I'm in the minority as a vocal supporter of the Expansion Pass, so this added value just makes it better! It's no GameCube, but hopefully that is coming down the road! If that happens, I will declare the Nintendo Switch an objectively perfect console.
My theory is that in 2020, Nintendo was working on emulating N64, GCN, and Wii for NSO. They knew at the start of the pandemic there would be internal software delays, so they pushed back their NSO plans to the following year and prioritized compiling 3 of the ROMs into 3D All-Stars to help them meet their earnings for the fiscal year. That would explain a lot of things, like: 1) Why 3D All-Stars was a limited time release, because they always planned to add the individual games later, and 2) Why it only took them 6 months to make. The game came out in September, which means they got to work almost immediately when lockdowns started.
Maybe they'll add the NES Fire Emblem thing later too. Nintendo has already said in an investor meeting their long-term plan is to keep expanding their online service and carrying it over to their next generation of hardware. Maybe eventually, we'll have legacy content from all of Nintendo's past-Gen systems, including 3DS. Some might say this is wishful thinking, but I think there's a lot pointing toward this. I really need to kick off a YouTube channel and make a video about it.
Anyways, it'll be really cool to have games like Super Mario Land 1 and 2, the Wario Land trilogy, Donkey Kong Land, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Super Circuit...OH MY GOSH! SUPERSTAR SAGA AND WARIOWARE, INC. AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!
@Froid12 Eh... the 3D AllStars leak was different, since it wasn't Nintendo themselves leaking the information. With the Xenoblade 3 Box art, they accidentally put it on the website earlier than intended.
About time!
Even if i have my modded IPS screen SP, original AGS-101 & Micro, if these support multiplayer, I'm all for it!
Hoping they add unreleased games, like the Sutte hakkun GB(C) game, which as far from what I played, is complete.
@victordamazio On the contrary, since this service essentially lives in the cloud, I feel like it could easily make the skip to another console. And I believe you're right, maybe this will pay off someday.. but with licensing being a huge issue, and maybe of the popular games being revamped from the company that originally made them, Nintendo isn't left with ALL of the big games. Think about Final Fantasy games that are being remastered at Square in -house. If they allowed any to be released to the service, it would instantly kill the work and marketing they did. So, various other games in that vein won't be coming I believe. MegaMan, SquareEnix games, I bet even Castlevania won't come to the Advance portion.
@BlueGBAMicro lol, why are you scared?
It's not going to devalue in the slightest...
Nothing beats playing on original hardware, besides if you plan to invest on it and sell it later, the people that will benefit from this are not your target client 😛
Will they pay the license fee to get Game Boy Tetris on the service???
If this is added to the 50 bucks tier, I am purchasing it immediately.
@majinx07
Hopefully, standard, but most likely the expansion pack to increase subscriptions as many people currently do not believe it offers enough value.
@sanderev Kinda wondering why the EZ Flash Omega cart is showing up in that part of the screenshot too. That's the flash cart I currently use/own with my GBA Micro, haha.
So they're not using the same GBA emulator that they used for the 3DS and Wii U?
@Gridatttack It's not the fear of devaluing as I'm not selling but NOT having the GB/C/A Games as exclusive to an actual GB/C/A doesn't sit right with me.
I think the only thing that would get me to subscribe to the expansion pass is if you could pick like a game a month to permanently own. I don't want to get reinvested in all my old favorites if I'm just going to lose access to them again.
@Tandy255 While that's cool, the real question is why? It's just Tetris, the game is literally available right now in Tetris Effect and Tetris 99.
It might not happen but it would be nice if the Shaman King Master of Spirits 1 & 2 got a second chance here.
I hope it's not part of the Expansion Pak, but it probably will be. Even if it is, I'd have to see what games they plan on having. If they had the Gen 1-3 Pokémon games I'd upgrade without hesitation, but I doubt that'd be the case. With Pokémon Home support, of course.
Omg! Let's party like it's 1999! 🥳🥳🥳💯💯
I don't believe it will happen before "E3 time"
@Specter_of-the_OLED It would be for nostalgia. It is what most casual players would look for. How can you have a GB service and not have the iconic pack-in game?
With the license, it probably would push it up to Expansion Pack territory.
@Anachronism It'd be way worth the investment if they did it that way, or maybe after say 3 years of paying you get permanent access to the libraries, but still had to be subscribed to update them. But I don't like the way it is now just renting retro games.
@Specter_of-the_OLED What makes you say that? 3DS' emu that was baked into the VC games could barely run anything, and the ambassador games used identical GBA hardware.
@Specter_of-the_OLED In all fairness, Tetris for the GB is one of the system's best games. ... That kinda shows it's age, but I can still see why people would want that version.
@jamesthemagi Problem with that is that people don't even think the base Subscription has enough value. So no matter what happens all parties lose out in some way no matter which they go with.
@Tandy255 They should since Tetris was one of the most popular GB games. But on the other hand, the Tetris Company would probably prefer for people to buy the single player DLC for Tetris 99 and just unlock the GB Theme.
I've never gotten to play super mario land; I hope we get NSO Gameboy so I finally can.
Id expect GBA games to be locked behind the expansion pass but GBC games to be regular additions.
@Specter_of-the_OLED The 3DS didn't use an emulator for GBA, it booted the 3DS in the GBA mode that is within the DS firmware.
@AndyC_MK111 IKR? They could make so many HD collections, preserving gaming history and making money for little effort, but they just don't. One of the few times I can think of was the Kirby Anniversary one for Wii, and even that was only in select regions.
@FishyS I still have my original SML game cartridge, and I even still play it on my GBA
@moodycat Until Nintendo Coconut Malls us again, but that may be unlikely.
@BlueGBAMicro why? You know, the retro video game collector market has gone awry due to scalpers and what not.
What's wrong with giving access to otherwise hard to get games to more people to play it via legal ways? 😛
Sounds neat.
still not wasting a penny on NSO tho
Great. Plenty of first party games to pull from the Gameboy family.
It would be really nice to get the Gameboy Pokemon games with Home connectivity.
@moodycat Your picture matches what you just typed!
I love it when that happens!
Golden. MF. Sun!!
There's a version number in the screenshot, '0.7.200819.0'.
I wonder if that means this is a version from 19th August 2020.
Might not mean it's coming particularly soon, even if it might happen eventually.
Nintendo's still promoting N64, and we haven't even had all the pre-announced N64 games yet.
I'll make this simple for you, NCL:
If you want my money, I want to play Metroid Fusion.
I'm not skeptical that we're getting a GB/GBA feature on the Switch. I feel like it's easier and more likely than the Sega/N64 was.
But I am skeptical of the leak itself.
@Dizzymario I agree. Gamecube would be the last console that could be easily added to NSO/Expansion Pack as Wii and Wii U games would require a lot of work. Just the ergonomics of a Wii mote v. a Joycon is not an easy translation let alone the lack of pointer. That and DS games and 3DS games would be a bit rough without the mic and duel screens.
I'll bet they do GB and GBC on the regular tier and GBA goes to the expansion pack.
You’ve ruined it! Now this has been leaked, Nintendo will just cancel its plans out of spite. Just like that Switch Pro that was all ready to be launched last summer.
🤣🤣🤣
@shoeses I feel the original Gameboy would be added to base NSO while GBC and GBA will be Expansion Pass. That and probably get Pokemon Home compatibility if Gen 1-3 games end up on the Expansion Pass.
@Leuke beat me to the comment haha
Oh! And 2 days ago I got 3 GBA games on Wii U and I have 6 more on my wishlist. Plus 4 GB on 3DS. What should I do? Maybe I'll buy them anyway on Wii U...
That might actually get me to buy the expansion pak. Before it was me paying $50 a year for Paper Mario, now its me paying $50 a year for Paper Mario and Metroid Fusion.
@Wexter TBH the GBC one feels like it could be a 50/50 chance one way or the other. If they do have the Gen 1-3 games, my only hope is that the Home compatibility is more than a one-way trip like on 3DS. I'd love to be able to trade for version exclusives on the Home GTS then send them back, or be able to use it to send Pokémon between Gens 1 & 2 without another person/console.
@sanderev What you said is not wrong but the 3DS hardware is more involved in GBA mode than having much to do with DS mode.
It's weird to read 3DS supports GBA because of DS bc, when really it was just Nintendo adding the missing hardware and patching up the rest with 3DS-only hardware.
my old man ways of saying that no one ACTUALLY plays these games. They just enjoy making a big deal about the lack of them until they're actually on the console, and then they aren't played.
@phartsy I own a working SNES, yet found myself playing Super Mario World, LTTP, F-Zero and other games I still own to completion via NSO. I've never played Metroid Fusion, Minish Cap, Golden Sun, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, the Mario Advance games... or any other from that system.
I would arrange vacation time to play Fusion alone...
Dollars to donuts they're going to tack on another 10 dollars a month.
I Hope we get Gameboy/ Gameboy Color/ Gameboy Advance Games for Nintendo Switch Online ASAP! That would be Incredible!
@shoeses That would be super slick if they could do that! Not sure how much modification it would need for the ROM for that to happen if it is just data transfer/save editing. I would be so happy if just moving my pokemon from Gen 1-2 is as simple as clicking and dragging in Home.
Can’t wait for them to port all the GBA ports of SNES games that are already on NSO.
@phartsy Considering you could just buy the Castlevania Advance Collection for 20 bucks, yeah, I'm pretty sure you won't see those games.
Don’t be surprised if 3rd tier pricing became a reality! Which would be insulting and greedy to say the least!! I’ll put money on it.
@joey302 I don't think that will happen for a while. We just got Expansion Pack and the only way I see Nintendo pushing for a 3rd tier service is if you got Switch games similar to Microsoft's Gamepass. I don't think that will be a reality for another few years.
I doubt most leaks are actually leaks.
There's a lot of potential value there. You out Minish Cap and Metroid Fusion on, and you've got a bunch of subscribers. The Pokemon games would add next level value. And then Mother 3 down the line. 🥴 One can dream
Oh yea. I might sub. Well see if cornbread head is correct on this one.
@Crono1973
If this leak is fake, then it's the greatest fake leak ever.
Nintendo: How did this happen? We're smarter than this.
Fans: Apparently not.
4chan.... such a reliable and credible source of information....
@GrailUK Ninja Five-O is a huge red flag for me. Of all games for it to be, they just randomly happen to have the most expensive non variant GBA game there is on the secondary market. This just reeks of someone trolling to get everybody worked up for something that will not happen.
Please for the love of all things add fire pro advance to this. Pleaseeeeee
@westman98 I think you misunderstand, I think most 'leaks' are purposely released.
Such a tempting rumor - I never owned a GBC or GBA, so there’s many, many titles I missed. I’d really like to see these on NSO and my flatscreen at home.
I won’t believe it till Nintendo announces it though!
@DeskLaser Yeah, I didn't think of it like that. Hmm...
Let’s goooo! Please be true.
Would be really dope if Nintendo finally added a Game Boy line NSO app and released the games in colour.
Also don’t drip feed us weak/unwanted games on a randomly chosen app separately and inconsistently... Instead Nintendo, please revise your strategy and release a bunch of classics, unreleased gems & localizations each month for each platform. That’d keep things fresh, provide value, consistency and improve consumer interest/trust (i.e. continued and new subscriptions).
Also also, preferably combine all the NSO Consoles into one NSO Archives App. Just give us all the platforms + catalogues we want on competent legal proprietary emulators i.e. with rewind, fast-forward, turbo, more save states, downloadable/uploadable/transferrable community shared saves, cheats, scanned game manuals, multiple suspend play, custom button-mapping, online netplay with crosschat, lobbies, invites, filters, borders/themes and/or widescreen adaptation etc... most of which is already included in some notable free emulators out in the wild for some time now. It would be better if this was all contained in one giant categorized “Nintendo Switch Online Archives/Virtual Console App” rather than segmented with separate apps for each platform.
… Wun can only hope.
The only GBA game I want to play is MechPlatoon. I want a remake for the Switch so bad.
Do you know what this is called… Drip, drip, drip.
If this was real then
Gameboy games should go in the regular tier membership
Gameboy Color and Advance games should go in the expansion pass membership
I saw both Golden Sun GBA games so I’m happy if it’s actually announced.
Still haven't played Golden Sun, this would be a subscription seller for me.
@DiggleDog Yeah there's a lot of NES & SNES games either on or remade for GB, GBC, & GBA. In all fairness though, some of them do feel like different enough experiences outside of different graphics. So as long as they don't go back to not adding thing for months and then add something already part of NSO in some form, I don't think it matters.
@wuntyme8 There's a lot they could do in the localization department for older games. I'm wondering if Atlas would allow them to localize the 3 SMT games the Japanese NSO has, but they'd probably actually want to sell that so...
@Wexter I don't see it happening, but it really should - everyone involved would benefit. The players would be more willing to subscribe to NSO to play them, and Pokémon Home would get a massive boost to functionality, which it doesn't have much of for a $20 annual service.
Hopefully we get the Sonic Advance games through this service, the Sega Genesis online app is a good sign towards it happening.
If it happens cool, I already pay for the expansion pak, so I'm not gonna complain about getting new games of course.
If it happens that is.
That's great if true, but all I want is some random matchmaking for all their emulators. I'd play a lot more Mario 64 if it had that or some lobbies. Same with Original Mario Bros.
Yes but also no! I love Game Boy and won't be able to resist sinking all my time into GBA games but I'm also finally trying to chip away at the backlog.
We need a Direct mini this or next week. A lot of big announcements incoming, especially when you consider Splatoon is a summer release, Xenoblade 3 does not have a set date, and this GB/GBA emulation rumor. I don't think all these can wait for the traditional June/E3 announcement cycle without compromising time on the marketing campaigns.
When I look at my GBA games on my shelf, I see either Pokémon, Square Enix games or SNES ports. The first two won’t show up on NSO based on past experience and the third is nothing to write home about. Sure you can play SNES games with fewer buttons but why would you want to?
@CharlieGirl A lot of people don't like to steal games they don't own. It's not a matter of simply owning a device capable of running an emulator.
If Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games are added to the NSO Expansion, I'm upgrading to that $50 tier.
And I also get the vibe that this could be one of those things that turns out to be true but in some leaked document in 10 years.
“GBA support was planned on NSO for the Switch but Nintendo couldn’t emulate the battery indicator led so it was scrapped.”
Please be real…
Please be real…
@Wexter I hope you’re right! 😊 we will see
Coming with another $10 price hike, most likely.
Hope this is true, I was already buying GBA games on my Wii U in order to play them on the big screen
Are we sure this isn't going to be another virtual console? The fact that the games can only be apps is possibly indicating that way...
Maybe GB/C for standard NSO and GBA for NSO+EP.
From what I've heard these leaks are very much real but also obtained via not particularly legit means. The leak also contains the name of the leaker. Some sites are not publishing this story because of that.....
100% some dude is losing their job over this one
Get your wallet ready cause if this is true I fully expect it be just like the N64 expansion and have it's own additional part of switch online that is buyable.
Pokémon games incoming. 🤞🏻
@westman98 It's a fake. 100%. It's clearly photoshopped content from other emulators.
@sanderev
Personal identifying information of Nintendo/NERD employees have been found in the leaked files. If that's part of a fake leak, then the creator(s) of this fake leak has gone a tad bit too far.
I can only assume that the majority of renewals are in September. If this rumour is true, I would guess it will be part of their E3 / summer direct with a launch in September.
You ready for NSO Plus Plus Deluxe add-on, which will probably cost even more money.
@CANOEberry I'm absolutely in for getting to play Minish Cap again on an actual Nintendo. Anyone who says no one is interested is clueless. We are out here, waiting.
It will be great if we can buy gba games on switch, I hope this isn't exclusive to nintendo subscription service.
I missed a lot of GBC and GBA games originally, so I am looking forward to this.
@FishyS
They are fantastic games.
Super Mario Land 2 was one of my favorite games when I was a kid. And the first one, while it has aged a lot, has one of the best Game Boy soundtracks. It’s worth playing through just to listen to the end credits theme.
In understand it must feel like an obligation to report on leaks, especially when everyone else is already talking about it, but… I still don’t appreciate spoilers. Makes the directs that much less fun.
If the apps have the Zelda Oracle games I’m sold. I’m just sold completely. Oracle of Ages is my fourth favorite Zelda game (after A Link to the Past, Breath of the Wild, and Links Awakening) and if you haven’t played it, you’ve got to play it. The actual GBC cart is horribly expensive these days (I need to find mine; it’s in my grandparents house somewhere) so if Nintendo has that day one for the GB/GBC emulator I’ll upgrade to the Expansion Pass finally.
@SteveDaSteve You can mail it to me 🤪
I completely missed out on Nintendo's entire portable library, so I'm definitely intrigued, especially the Zeldas and, obviously, the Metroids.
@SteveDaSteve LOL. Let's dump an amazing FPGA portable device for emulation that may or may not materialize. Very funny, indeed.
Think this’ll have any effect on GBA prices? I hope Golden Sun 2 loses a little value, as it’s in the leak.
Long time no see. Well to put the rumours and the like to bed: I’m fine! I just don’t really connect to the internet that much when I’ve got other things I’d like to.
Recently I’ve been reading and watching Japanese shows and comics. It’s bizarre to me; a chap who doesn’t need to work due to family/historical money. Whose only concerns are what to do tomorrow [wake up at 10-11am, take medicines, watch any auto-downloaded tv show from my RSS torrent feed on my giant living room TV via Apple TV and Plex on an old iMac I keep around, maybe nap after that sat in the same place - so cosy! Then as my wife has music lessons and an evening orchestral performance I’ll sit back and draw all day. Currently had an idea for a summer house I could build in one of the gardens. Play a bit of Kirby, Smash, read my Kindle in any one of my lovely purpose built nooks around the main house.
People in Tokyo have like 60 minutes free time a day. They work Saturday. It’s pathetic also how racist and sexist Japan is. I don’t know how some western people can be obsessed with Japanese culture! They’re a bit unhinged.
Anywho yes I can’t wait for Gameboy games. I’ve signed up as a developer, as I technically do own a company that makes middleware solutions or. Something like that. And there’s too much proof going around. I don’t know why other devs remain so tight lipped.
How about putting them on a Switch cart as well with emulation????
@majinx07 it wont go to regular...GBA/GB games are way more popular than N64 titles.
@majinx07 good question i hope it does need expanion pass
@SwitchForce Ya
@CharlieGirl I actually am one of those people - I work in software for a living so I don’t actually own a personal PC (acronym redundancy noted) because I spend 10 hours a day on my work computer and have no desire to sit at a keyboard in my leisure time - since my 360 died I only play Switch, SNES, or Game Boy games on SNES with the Super Game Boy - so I like ports and releases and the Switch Online just fine
@Serpenterror @Anachronism probs for nostalgia
