Oct 14 2025 and I’ve had 3 crashes in 10mins

I don’t understand who these games are. They are extremely mediocre Metroidvanias. The newer games kinda drop that and the graphic style looks like flash on a pc. I mean if you like it more power I just don’t get it. Could some one please try to explain the appeal?

I’ve already out over a hundred hours into this game. It’s an absolute masterpiece. Games me equal it but nothing is beating it. Best platformer ever.

I would love a new super Mario collection.

Prince of Persia is an amazing game, and should be talked about in the upper echelon of metroidvanias like, Hollow knight, and Metroid dread. Truly a masterpiece of modern gaming. The messenger is was a blast too, switching form 8 bit to 16 bit to traverse and solve puzzles in the latter half of the game is a really cool mechanic.

I wish the ori games for this much hype. I played Ori first and I thought it was better I didn’t even make it through hollow knight because it felt so lacking to me.

You used caddy as a unit of measurement. Why?

@breach187 I was thinking the same thing it’s like by our overpriced remaster or were never gonna give you what you want again.

Finally being broke Paid off. I just finished Ys 9 last night and it’s good but not Ys 8 good, that game is a banger.

I’ve been hearing about this game for years and how great it was. So when I saw they were putting it on the online, I was thrilled. Then I played it and it is one of the few Nintendo first party games. I will probably never play again. I don’t get the hype or the popularity of it.

Bubsy was decently popular in his day. Everyone I knew with a snes or sega had either the first or second one. I went back recently and holy balls how did he even reach the middling fame he back then. I couldn’t believe I actually liked it, it was so awful. There’s some games that game advancement make obsolete and unplayable and this is a prime example.

I was having a conversation with my friends, and they are all pc all the way and all they do is complain how gaming isn’t what it used to be, and here I am on Nintendo island claiming banger after banger after banger. So I said get a Nintendo lol

Im playing it now and I mean this in the best way I was like holy crap it’s Mario odyssey 2. And I love it for that.

Monster hunter Rise runs way better in the switch two. Loading times are almost non existent. And it may be in my head but it just seems to play a lot smoother too while hunting.

@axelhander I agree with you wholeheartedly. I was a teen in the 90s and you couldn’t pay me to go back to CRT for anything.

@Duncanballs see I lived through the 8 and 16 bit gen and I don’t see it, crts are obsolete for a reason.

I have to say I am very excited for PAC-MAN Dread. Maybe it will actually be good enough they change the genre to PacTroidVania.

This was a game I was very excited about. The art style was fantastic, then I played it and it was one of the most meh experiences I’ve had in a while.

I’m gonna buy Yakuza as soon as it goes on sale.

Im surprised there is even a top 10. Internet scuttle but says no one bought the switch 2 just 3.5 million scalpers. I didn’t know scalpers bought digital eshop games too.

I was on a sonic kick, I figured since Nintendo didn’t pick me from the lottery and I had to deal with target, my lil payback was to finish my switch 1 off with sega games. Sonic superstars, generations and colors all load way faster and the cut scenes work better as well.

I picked the I don’t care option. I started gaming in 1989 on a 2600. I remember buying sonic 3 as a kid and thinking well this is it they finally did it graphics will never top this. So anything after that is basically gravy. So no I don’t have a problem with the new switch screen.

The anticipation now is astounding. Just knowing in the next day or two I’ll have one but not knowing exactly when lol.

@Quarbit they think it’s gonna last forever and 5 generations of family from now will be able to play it. And if future generations can’t play for the 60 bucks it cost is it even worth it?

@Alcea game is not a US store , so not being from the US wouldn’t matter.

@sd7232 it took me until early 2019 to get a switch, I hate to call all the stores around me for months.

Target says that we will get our switch 2 between June 6 and June 11. The wait is excruciating.

I love Mario galaxy when I’m playing, but I don’t not miss its globe mechanic when I’m not. It’s the main reason I’m not dying to play galaxy 2. Odyssey 2 now that I’d pre order.

@progx I’m a 40 something with 1 kid and pre school and one kid in diapers, and the switch is the only way I get to game, I have to share my tv now, so i rarely get to play my series x or ps5. I got the switch 2 mostly because I have a very aging and beat up switch and instead of replacing sideways I decided to go up.

I just got echos of wisdom as my last switch 1 purchase and it’s amazing couldn’t be happier.

I used to only play Nintendo for first party games, I played a crap ton more PlayStation then anything. Got a switch, then I got the ps5 and then I had kids and my ps5 is dusty as heck and my switch joycons joysticks are wearing out. If your a gamer with small children the switch is a god send.

I personally think it’s stupid that they have them. The only reason is to try and placate that I only buy physical. I will never reply digital people. Nintendo has to be thinking that people hate digital because they don’t get a case to display, when it’s really a fantasy that they own the game when they buy it physical, Every other form of entertainment made the jump to digital media with no problem. I wonder why gamers are having the hardest time moving on with it.

I have been gaming since 1990 and this is the first console I’ll have ever had never mind at launch but in its first year. I decided to get a switch in 2019, and It took forever. Plenty of missed restocks because scalpers. I almost fainted when I got my confirmation email lol.

@rjejr that’s weird both me and my wife got one at target. I got mine at 12:01am est and she got hers at 12:20 am est. then we got confirmation emails. Almost immediately. We didn’t cancel the second one until 11am today after we were sure we got one.

Holy crap I got a switch 2. I never in a million years figured I’d press ok in time after the ps5 debacle. But holy crap I got Mario kart world bundle. YES! YES! YES!

I would have to say, Rise was too successful to want to port a dumbed down version of wild. Switch will an original new MH game in similar style to wild like we did with World, Rise.

@SpaceboyScreams for one I don’t play pokemon but I also don’t crap on games with months of development left. No wonder the gaming industry is in the shape it’s in. No matter what game or genre it sucks. Every major release, Avowed is not Skyrim it sucks. Dragon age is “woke” it sucks, AC shadows, it’s Ubisoft and the world has a bandwagon hate boner for them so it sucks. Monster hunter wilds has more streamlined mechanics then hunter 2 so it sucks. The Internet wrestling community is more positive than the gaming one and that says a lot. Because that’s one of the most negative cesspools on earth you can go.

You have only seen a trailer or two., To make an entire opinion piece, about how it lacks what one has is a bit premature and disingenuous. Ya let’s crap all over the game a year before it’s released.

It should happen at the mushroom kingdom asylum for the criminally insane. Make it a kirkbride plan building as well add some creep factor to it.

I double dipped, I got it on ps4 upon release then again on the day I bought my switch. It’s amazing game. They did what sonic superstars was looking to do. Make an nes Megaman game with modern graphics. 10/10 for me fantastic piece of art.

I bought epic Mickey 2 on Xbox in the build up to this and it legit looks better then rebrushed does on switch. The only thing epic Mickey on switch does better is camera. Everything else looks better in epic Mickey 2 on series s to boot.
