I’ve never understood just taking another games main mechanic. I have a new game coming out where two hvac workers one is short and has balanced controls while the other is minuets younger and is slightly taller and jumps higher at the cost of friction. They have to stop and Komodo dragon from taking over the truffle kingdom but it will look like Phineas and Ferbs art style.

I’m playing Xenoblade chronicles 2 for the second weekend in a row, just got to chapter 5. And I’m playing forza 4 on my Xbox series x as my pallet cleanser game when I get jrpg’ed out. So the exact same thing as last weekend.

Octopath is an exception because while being 16 bitish it has an art style that could only be accomplished with modern hardware. It couldn’t be played in a snes or genesis.

@Spiders Graphically they would land as very modern. I’m not complaining about gameplay or mechanics at all whatsoever . I just think that I already lived through the pixel era and I very much enjoy the new style of first party Nintendo 2d and hand drawn graphics that would not have been possible 20 years ago.

@Spiders I understand your thought on the 2d alternate time line, but when I wanna play 2d I wanna play 2d like new Kirby, super Mario U, Yoshi crafted world, ect... I’m not interested in new 16 but games tbh. Even ori or monster boy 2d but modern.

When I’m trying to relax I listen to botw korok village theme and it does the trick. If I wanna get hype I play the FuGu face off theme from Dk tropical freeze.

Instead of metroidvania we need more top down Zelda style games, if your gonna go 16 bit or should I say 16 bit Hd might as well go whole hog.

Of you only looked at the switch eshop games you would swear it’s still the mid 90s. Who needs a switch pro when 90 percent of new games are 16bit.

I had an Atari 5800, nes, genisis,. I remember being mind fd when I played Mario 64. How could graphics get any better then this I thought. Then they did. My problem with Indy is I really don’t wanna go back to the 90s. I like new 1st party Nintendo. And I wish their were more games.

Finally found an unused copy of Xenoblade 2 so I’m jumping into that world. Forza 4 may make an appearance as well.

My first game was the NES super Mario 3 pack In.

When I bought my switch I was 100 percent physical only. As time has gone by and I’ve seen amazing deals on the eshop it’s gotten to the point where now i see the ease of not getting off the couch to play some game. The first major game I bought all digital was skyward sword hD

I want a new super Mario 2d just not a “New” if you catch my gist.

@blockfight I’m doing the exact same thing. I just finished streets of rage 4 on game pass now I’m giving pikmin 3 deluxe another go.

I got Pikmin 3 deluxe on prime day for 19.99 and I played it and was like eh, I played again yesterday for a few hours and now I’m at work counting down the minutes until I can play again. It’s different but fantastic.

Is Ammy paid dlc or free update?

@Mazor775 I agree that the switch looks excellent next to an Xbox series x. I stood in line the day after E3 for 7 hours to see how it would look next to my switch and I’m glad I did. First game I played on my new next gen console new super lucky s tale. Great game btw.

I have never played skyward sword before, I refused to buy in to the Wii and motion controls so it’s a brand new Zelda game to me, I just hope it will hold me over until botw2

I would rather xenoblade chronicles 3 over any old port title.

I pre ordered it for series x I can’t wait. You can’t go wrong with good sonic levels and this is just a bunch more of them

Sounds very interesting. I never thought the Sierra dos style of games would make a full comeback but they sure have.

Can’t wait for the remastered version of this game. If only they would give us twilight princess with out motion controls

I can’t wait for this. I just got a new Xbox and I’m more excited for more Nintendo first party games then I am for Xbox by far. I also got pikmam for 19.99. Today my Series x is gonna get dusty.

@WiltonRoots I skipped the Wii/Wii u era do to life circumstances so I’m super excited to get a change to play it. Switch is my favorite system ever

@Ludovsky I know there isn’t much disparity at all, but botw 2 can be made 100% for the switch. It can be slightly better, it doesn’t have to play down to the Wii U like the original did.

@BloodNinja we are at the point were buying from scalpers is most times the only option. Being food or water has nothing to do with it. It’s just something you tell yourself to make it seem ok

@BloodNinja No one has ever been to a sporting event or a concert and thought oh the guy selling tickets in the parking lot is a stand up guy. Scalping is a scourge impatient or not. Find a real way to make money that doesn’t involve financially raping people. Why don’t we commend the people who sell bootleg tshirts too. It screws the bands out of money but they are making a living right.

Already pre ordered so I can get the sonic keychain and special box. I’m a die hard mario fan now but I was sonic first. I asked for an snes but my mom got me and my bro the sega with the sonic 2 pack in instead so I was sonic obsessed until the Dreamcast failed.

The graphics are amazing I always found it weird tho that in newer Nintendo games you can actually see the fabric of the denim and cloth and the stitching on Mario and Luigi hats but Ubisoft goes a more gloss route, it’s the only thing off putting about the graphics to me .

I really like the first game. With the exception of Nintendo and capcom Ubisoft is my 3rd place game company. I’m a huge fan of assassins creed 3 ,fenyx, and Rayman origins and ledgends.

I just bought trials of mana and I kept getting an error when trying to download the update file. I had to press start on the thumbnail and go to update manually for it to actually work.

@tntswitchfan68 how can you say Nintendo cares about people, when they won’t re-release games from 20+ years ago. I’m being sarcastic btw.

@Crono1973 they guy that was maybe gonna re-release Lucia 2. Regardless of how many people say oh I have the roms for backup but if the game became Available I’d buy it. I’d bet my sons life that maybe 1 in 1,000,000 people will actually by the copy after getting the rom. My brother in law used to tell me how stupid I was for buying ds/2ds games because he could just jail break my system and hook it up for free.

I post here all the time to almost near silence, I make an anti piracy analogy and I get torn apart by semantics arguments about why it’s ok because it’s a game people wanna play and Nintendo won’t indulge them. Geeze.

Why wouldn’t they do it on the 3ds where they can do more

I replay good platform games as nauseam, I’ve play mega man 1-6 about 30 times each, and I’ve played every sonic and Mario game about 100 times each. I constantly buy new games weekly but I find my self going back to my Megaman legacy collection and Mario odyssey, 3D world , u and Allstars.

The should release a new numbered Mega man game every year. We should be at mega man 34 by now just basic 8 robot masters and a few wily stages. Yearly.

@SwitchVogel I have to respectfully disagree, I truly enjoyed forces and it’s story is part two of sonic mania they go together

Games still better work on my current switch.

I want a sonic Version of 3D Allstars with both adventure games colors and generations.

I can’t wait to play this Friday. The first time I played this series I found wonderboy in monster world at Ames for 9.99 and I’ve been hooked ever since. I also wish someone would bring back the shining force series and go as hard at it as the wonderboy series. those games are so amazing and underrated.
