I have an 8 month old, and a full time job. I started playing assassins creed Valhalla, 3 weekends ago. I’m at 52 hours which seems to be maybe halfway, so I guess until my son goes to college I’ll be playing that.

New physical copies of Astral chain doesn’t even exist in the wild anymore, it’s gone the same way as Xenoblade 2. It’s either pay full price for a used one or buy digital

I love Japanese games. They just always seems to have an overly unnecessarily complicated system of some sort. Like monster hunter is a good example. The amount of stuff you can set for the hot keys is enormous.

Shining force without a doubt, one of the best rpgs ever made.

@MS7000 then save them for another game or add them for free but to charge me half the price of a full game for characters. I have never once in my life paid for a dlc or expansion or anything. Never have never will. I can’t get more full games instead of the piddlely stuff dlc affords.

Maybe it’s because I’m from the nes days but I refuse to pay 60 dollars for a game and then pay more for missing content. It’s a ***** practice and should be done away with.

I will play every game I buy first in the big tv. I won’t boot a game up for the first time in portable. But then after a while I usually only play them portable because when I can actually get the living room tv I play my series x. Turns out my wife and child get first dibs. I don’t remember agreeing to that but it’s just how it goes.

Platform games are my favorite genre and the snes ones are very mediocre at best. Not bad games but not good games either, maybe this remake can fix that.

I would have added the assassins creed games to this list. They look beautiful even three but especially 4.

I’m playing every ones least favorite assassins s creed games, unity on the the Xbox and 3 on the switch.

@JaxonH who used the 32 bit card. I just bought this for 9.99 at a local retro store for switch saw this comment while reading the review. And I’m buying to know what game used the 32bit card.

@fafonio and that is vastly your opinion I’m not a fan of SMW it’s my least favorite 2d Mario or tied for last with Mario doki doki panic. I’m just not a fan and. Ever have been there is just something about it I’ve never liked

@hypnotoad SMW isn’t even the best 2d Mario game. Mario 3 is. And I like the new super Mario’s better then SMW as well.

I like the 16 bit era and the colors, generations,forces eras equally. The 16 for nostalgia and the out of the wilderness for the straight fact they make sonic games worth playing again.

@Ccc1985 I have also not had a single issue. I’ve been enjoying the the hell out of it.

I got the physical version it yesterday and it plays fine, I’ve yet to run into any of the glitch issues.

I’m gonna go with the Dreamcast. I miss it so much. My favorite nostalgia system. The amount of time I play sonic adventures 1+2, shenmue and crazy taxi.

I know this is a Nintendo site, but I would have added Genesis to the snes option because it’s responsible for an equal amount of the famous game sounds for an entire generation. Self professed sega console fan boy here.

I watched about 10 mins of gameplay and I’m very interested, my major hang up is the fact it’s a mobile game, and all that comes with that.

I don’t know, it doesn’t look like it was made in a Texas Instruments graphing calculator. It may not go over well with a lot of people here.

@Luigisghost669 it’s like a hipster thing “oh I could play a blank screen if the gameplay is there” that and because casuals would see this and laugh.

See this looks beautiful and it’s not 16 bit plus. Who knew in 2021 this would be the exception and it the rule.

When I saw the premise of this game I thought omg please give us another game with 8bit/msdos graphics, we have only gotten 75 this week that’s not enough.

@ATaco I have a similar story with crusin world. My older cousin used to play and they always needed a fourth and although I wasn’t particularly fond of it I put in hours upon hours.

Always with the trends. Motion controls, loot boxes, character, announcement. Next thing we’re gonna have is battle royale, metroidvania, with loot boxes and paramount plus characters that get slowly leaked in for 3 years.

If the in game graphics are like these screen shot sold I’m in. 2d platform games with modern graphics may just be my favorite type of games. As long as they keep the metroidvania elements out.

@Quarth sonic 1-knuckles are amazing games and can’t forget phantasy star 4 and shining force 2. Street fighter 2 championship edition got a lot of play at my house as well. Sega was definitely missing a Zelda type game. I will 1000 percent agree there. I didn’t play SmW until later in life so I don’t have the nostalgia for it I have for 1 and 3 and to be honest it my least favorite Mario game. I’m in the minority there but I feel like other Mario games did it better.

@Quarth see I didn’t because back then ya know blast processor and sega did what Nintendont. I went from Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast. Then I didn’t by a system again until the 2ds. And that was only because all the sonic games. Then I fell in love with new super Mario 2 and it’s been down the Nintendo rabbit hole ever since.

I’ve never understood just taking another games main mechanic. I have a new game coming out where two hvac workers one is short and has balanced controls while the other is minuets younger and is slightly taller and jumps higher at the cost of friction. They have to stop and Komodo dragon from taking over the truffle kingdom but it will look like Phineas and Ferbs art style.

I’m playing Xenoblade chronicles 2 for the second weekend in a row, just got to chapter 5. And I’m playing forza 4 on my Xbox series x as my pallet cleanser game when I get jrpg’ed out. So the exact same thing as last weekend.
