  • Review World of Goo (WiiWare)

Will World of Goo leave gamers all warm and gooey inside?

It's certainly no secret to WiiWare fans that World of Goo has seen more hype than just about any other WiiWare title to date. While this generally leads to unrealistic expectations, every so often a game somehow manages to not only fulfil the hype, but exceed it. Say hello to World of Goo...

  • News World Of Goo 2 Brings Gooey Mayhem To The Switch In May

    Goo-dness me

The gooey classic World of Goo is finally getting a sequel on Switch with World of Goo 2, and it's heading to the console on 23rd May, 2024. The game looks like more of the same, which for us, is definitely a positive. It looks frankly bonkers, and we can't wait to start building ridiculous contraptions with the goo once again...

  • Talking Point What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?

These are our picks, but what are yours?

  • First Impressions Little Inferno

Let us be your little Virgil

2D Boy released what is still arguably the best game on the WiiWare service, World of Goo. But since the release of that game four years ago the developer has been rather quiet. The game never got a sequel and lips were sealed tight on future projects, but we knew that whatever this immensely talented — and...

  • News Nintendo Clarifies Stance on Garage Developers

    Loves them really

There was something of a storm in a teacup around Reggie Fils-Aime's recent comments that Nintendo isn't interested in garage developers. As long-time fans of WiiWare and DSiWare will know, some of the services' better titles have originated from semi-professional coders or small development teams. Now Nintendo of America's...

Sales boost seen for all games with free trials

During an early november earnings meeting, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata explained how the company wants to get more people to visit the Wii and DSi Shop Channels and browse around, instead of going in already knowing what they want to get. Iwata then announced the company’s plans to roll out a temporary...

More power to the customer or missing the point entirely?

If you head on over to the popular online store Amazon and look around a little you can find something pretty weird: A listing for World of Goo on the Wii. Green shades anyone?

About The Game

World of Goo is an award-winning, physics-based puzzle/construction game made entirely by two guys. Grab living, squirming, talking globs of goo to build structures, bridges, cannonballs, zeppelins and giant tongues.

The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo are curious to explore - but they don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious. World of Goo Corporation is contractually obligated to state that everyone is a winner, and is enthusiastic to celebrate everyone's Goo building opportunities equally.
