Don't have a whole lot of money to spend at the moment, but I may get Don't Starve. A friend got me into Don't Starve Together on Steam and I would like to play on the TV
@pandarino I haven't gotten around to buying/playing X yet, although I recently have gotten the Wii Xenoblade and I've enjoyed it a lot so far. But yes, I would have loved to see TMS nominated. It is honestly one of my absolute favourite games!
@DiscoGentleman I was happy to get Xenoblade at a discount, but now it's disappointing to see that it was lowered shortly after with no refund for anyone who got it before...
I may actually try out Xenoblade now. I'm thinking I'll most likely go with the Wii version. I have 200 gold coins and have been interested in trying either Xenoblade or X so I guess I'll go with Xenoblade then. I think the discounted price is around just under $20 CAD which isn't too bad.
I've been waiting for a NA discount on Xenoblade X so if it is included for NA in December for birthdays then I'll definitely get it. May also get Splatoon if I can in a different discount. My brother in law is a bit interested in the game and while I do already have it, it is just on my Japanese Wii U.
On my Japanese account I've had a few "Just for You" discounts before (or maybe it was a birthday one, I forget though) and I think at the start of the full launch of My Nintendo, but nothing at all since...
One thing I've been waiting forever for in NA is a Xenoblade Chronicles X discount. Europe had one and Japan has one (but the price after the discount is the same amount it would cost without it in Canada).
I think it would be nice to see more discounts and games that I can buy with gold coins as well. (I would have expected to get more than just one discount for October by now...)
Some DLC would be nice to see again though. I would certainly be willing to get some Mii costumes through gold coins. Maybe we could see character DLC as well, but that would probably cost a few more coins.
I didn't expect Ninja Usagimaru's sequel to be localized already, perhaps I may pick it up then. I was originally thinking of waiting for a sale on the Japanese eShop, but now I will probably just download it from the NA store.
And I think I will probably get the Fast staving NEO DLC as well.
@Link41x I just noticed that too haha Although the Canadian price actually isn't too bad. Doesn't say that there is a discount, but the game is $19.79 CAD which is about $15 US.
Facebook announcement really threw me off haha.
Before watching the video, it just showed some kind of galaxy design with the title "Reggie has an announcement that's out of this world!"
Seriously thought it might have been an announcement for the NX.
Assuming the gameplay would have been like Conquest, I'm glad we got TMS instead. I have Conquest and enjoy it, but I prefer FE to it much more and I also love TMS a lot as well!
I've played through the first couple of missions so far and I'm enjoying it. I am getting a Metroid vibe from the game and it's been pretty fun so far. I really don't think that the art style suits Metroid, but I think I haven't minded it as much while playing the game. (Perhaps it's partly because it is in first person and that I've been playing by myself so far)
I personally enjoy playing this overall. And I play Rocket League often. Playing online is quite fun with and against others and I also enjoy trying to unlock skins. (Just 2 left now) I feel like the eject power up is given out way too often though. When playing in challenge mode, the CPU's would seem to know exactly where it would land do they'd get it right away and of course score a goal as well. I really got annoyed when they got it several times in a row.
I am pretty sure that I enjoyed this back on the DS. However I don't know if I would on the Wii U. I didn't like stylus controls back then so I used abxy to aim. IIRC, the right stick's directions can be changed to that right? I'm wondering how well it would work for this.
I've never played a Professor Layton, but I've been interested in getting into the series sometime if I can find some of the games. I have played Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright and have enjoyed it so far.
I don't know a whole lot about the series, but Luke could speak to animals right? Is it possible that Catriel can also do so?
I'm surprised how many people dislike Blast Ball, I've personally enjoyed it (gyro and non-gyro, still deciding on which to go with) and while I was already planning on purchasing it, it has reinforced my purchase.
Don't own most of the games on it and having an NES Classic Controller would be nice so I'm definitely getting it. I suppose it is a bit disappointing cartridges can't be used, but you would need them in the first place since they aren't sold anymore and the mini NES would have to be larger (probably at least close to the normal size)
@DiscoGentleman mentioned this to me, but it would be pretty neat if you could access the eShop and download more NES games onto it. That would probably increase the price at least a bit more though and I assume Nintendo wants to keep it pretty cheap.
I don't think it is on the Japanese App Store yet. Have an account, but it doesn't show up. Seems to be the case for everyone I think. But it is available in Australia
I was initially hoping that it would play like Fire Emblem since I hadn't played any Atlus games or many JRPG's for that matter. However I am personally happy with how this turned out and I think that the Fire Emblem part was implemented well. Session attacks are also really fun to use and I'm a fan of all the other FE elements in it.
Can't wait for the release! I finally got around to pre-ordering the special edition despite the higher price and I've been replaying the Japanese version as well recently.
Thought this was for NA at first... I would prefer it if the region was also mentioned. (I know the pocket football is on there, but didn't notice it at first) Doesn't look like NA's/Japan's have been updated yet.
Since I haven't played a Xenoblade game before, I would be very interested in giving one of them a try sometime.
Just going to put this out there (and it has been kind of explained already), there is a difference between a sharp and a pound/hashtag. And it is also seen in the titles of their YouTube videos of TMS.
♯ sharp and # pound/hashtag Although the one used on NL is a pound.
@JaxonH I believe that is how I described it to DiscoGentleman. I haven't played child of light myself, but I've seen my cousin play it and the way each character's turn goes reminded me of it. At the top there is a set order in which you attack each turn and if you are faster, you may be able to attack sooner. I haven't played SMT before so I can't really make any comparisons, but for a game I've played that I can compare it to as well, I'd say Mario and Luigi. You take turns attacking and when you do attack you have various options like attack, items, defend, skills (which use up a meter like bros points).
Anyways, if anyone does have a question regarding this game, feel free to ask. Just send me a reply here or in the forum. I have the Japanese version and personally love it so I really hope it does do well here.
@DiscoGentleman I think I remember seeing that comment regarding the DLC, but while I didn't get any, I believe it was all included in the fortissimo edition in Japan too so it was also day 1 there.
My main problem is just that the fortissimo edition is $120 CAD...
If it was an animated TV show, I could see Splatoon happen, but not really as a movie. (I wasn't thinking of a movie when I voted though and chose it...) Fire Emblem is my favourite series, but I don't know how well it would work as a movie and if it would be all that popular. Ones that I could see happen are Zelda or Metroid with Metroid as a live action if they went with it.
@KittyKatta if they had the amiibo clothing and weapon designs then I would definitely buy them, but as is, I don't see myself getting it. Pretty tempted by the squid sisters though
@Detective_TeeJay it was my first JRPG and I loved it personally. There are some good games that just don't sell well for some reason.
If I didn't own the Japanese version, I'd probably get the special edition for NA, but now I'm not sure since it will probably be $100. I really want that art book and CD though.
It was mentioned by various others, but where is Splatoon? Motion controls aren't necessary, but they work really well especially with chargers. And having the map on the gamepad is really useful along with being able to super jump quickly using it.

@DiscoGentleman I really wish NL did more research on the game.
It is really great, but has been getting hardly any good coverage on here.
Nintendaan gave it a really good preview on Nintendo World Report which goes into detail in it and explains a good amount of the game.

I really want that art book and CD though.
