Re: Here Are Your New My Nintendo Rewards

yokokazuo

I may actually try out Xenoblade now. I'm thinking I'll most likely go with the Wii version. I have 200 gold coins and have been interested in trying either Xenoblade or X so I guess I'll go with Xenoblade then. I think the discounted price is around just under $20 CAD which isn't too bad.

Re: Poll: Six Months On - How Do You Feel About My Nintendo?

yokokazuo

On my Japanese account I've had a few "Just for You" discounts before (or maybe it was a birthday one, I forget though) and I think at the start of the full launch of My Nintendo, but nothing at all since...

One thing I've been waiting forever for in NA is a Xenoblade Chronicles X discount. Europe had one and Japan has one (but the price after the discount is the same amount it would cost without it in Canada).
I think it would be nice to see more discounts and games that I can buy with gold coins as well. (I would have expected to get more than just one discount for October by now...)

Some DLC would be nice to see again though. I would certainly be willing to get some Mii costumes through gold coins. Maybe we could see character DLC as well, but that would probably cost a few more coins.

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th September (North America)

yokokazuo

I didn't expect Ninja Usagimaru's sequel to be localized already, perhaps I may pick it up then. I was originally thinking of waiting for a sale on the Japanese eShop, but now I will probably just download it from the NA store.

And I think I will probably get the Fast staving NEO DLC as well.

Re: Round Up: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Predictably Divides Opinion

yokokazuo

I've played through the first couple of missions so far and I'm enjoying it. I am getting a Metroid vibe from the game and it's been pretty fun so far.
I really don't think that the art style suits Metroid, but I think I haven't minded it as much while playing the game. (Perhaps it's partly because it is in first person and that I've been playing by myself so far)

Re: Review: Metroid Prime: Blast Ball (3DS)

yokokazuo

I personally enjoy playing this overall. And I play Rocket League often. Playing online is quite fun with and against others and I also enjoy trying to unlock skins. (Just 2 left now)
I feel like the eject power up is given out way too often though. When playing in challenge mode, the CPU's would seem to know exactly where it would land do they'd get it right away and of course score a goal as well. I really got annoyed when they got it several times in a row.

Re: Review: Metroid Prime: Hunters (Wii U eShop / DS)

yokokazuo

I am pretty sure that I enjoyed this back on the DS. However I don't know if I would on the Wii U. I didn't like stylus controls back then so I used abxy to aim. IIRC, the right stick's directions can be changed to that right? I'm wondering how well it would work for this.

Re: Level-5 Announces Lady Layton, Coming To Nintendo 3DS In 2017

yokokazuo

I've never played a Professor Layton, but I've been interested in getting into the series sometime if I can find some of the games. I have played Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright and have enjoyed it so far.

I don't know a whole lot about the series, but Luke could speak to animals right? Is it possible that Catriel can also do so?

Re: Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition Coming This November, Ships With 30 Games

yokokazuo

Don't own most of the games on it and having an NES Classic Controller would be nice so I'm definitely getting it.
I suppose it is a bit disappointing cartridges can't be used, but you would need them in the first place since they aren't sold anymore and the mini NES would have to be larger (probably at least close to the normal size)

@DiscoGentleman mentioned this to me, but it would be pretty neat if you could access the eShop and download more NES games onto it.
That would probably increase the price at least a bit more though and I assume Nintendo wants to keep it pretty cheap.

Re: Video: Nintendo Aims to Get Down With the Kids in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Series

yokokazuo

@JaxonH I believe that is how I described it to DiscoGentleman.
I haven't played child of light myself, but I've seen my cousin play it and the way each character's turn goes reminded me of it. At the top there is a set order in which you attack each turn and if you are faster, you may be able to attack sooner.
I haven't played SMT before so I can't really make any comparisons, but for a game I've played that I can compare it to as well, I'd say Mario and Luigi. You take turns attacking and when you do attack you have various options like attack, items, defend, skills (which use up a meter like bros points).

Re: Feature: Five Nintendo Franchises We'd Love to See As Movies

yokokazuo

If it was an animated TV show, I could see Splatoon happen, but not really as a movie. (I wasn't thinking of a movie when I voted though and chose it...)
Fire Emblem is my favourite series, but I don't know how well it would work as a movie and if it would be all that popular.
Ones that I could see happen are Zelda or Metroid with Metroid as a live action if they went with it.
