With the holidays just around the corner, many are no doubt already getting together Christmas lists and doing a little bit of preliminary Christmas shopping. Admittedly, Nintendo's holiday lineup is a bit slim – relying more on older, yet still popular titles – but it's clearly feeling in the holiday spirit. A new sweepstakes is on for My Nintendo members in North America (US only), where four themed prize packs are up for grabs.
As long as you have a valid US My Nintendo account, you can enter the competition until 21st November, and eight winners will be picked on 30th November. The prize packs are as follows:
Super Mario Prize Pack
- Download Code Mario Party: Star Rush
- Super Mario 3D Land Edition New Nintendo 3DS
- Download Code for Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS
- 30th Anniversary Super Mario amiibo
Pokémon Prize Pack
- Solgaleo Lunala Black Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL
- Download Code for Pokémon Sun
- Download Code for Pokémon Moon
The Legend of Zelda Prize Pack
- New Galaxy Style New Nintendo 3DS XL
- The Legend of Zelda Triforce Light
- 8-bit Link amiibo
- Download Code for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes
Animal Crossing Prize Pack
- New Nintendo 3DS Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Bundle
- Download Code for Animal Crossing: New Leaf
- Animal Crossing Welcome amiibo Card Pack x3
- Animal Crossing amiibo Card Pack x3
- Isabelle (Winter Outfit) amiibo
Lots of interesting stuff is being offered here, and you really don't have anything to lose by entering this, so you might as well toss your name in the hat. For those of you that are interested, follow this link to enter.
What do you think? Would you like to win any of these? What Nintendo merchandise would you like for Christmas? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Since its connected to "MyNintendo" Im surprised it doesnt feature a "Miitomo Digital Socks Pack" , some vouchers for 15% off "Murder on the Titanic" for the 3DS, Download codes for some Nintendo-Logo themes in 3 colors, and everybodys favorite plantinum points (but with a special limited expire date of 14 days).
Other than that, its for free, why not.
I'm assuming this is exclusively for North America?
I want those amiibo cards !
Is there anything more depressing than seeing a Zelda themed prize represented by The Legend of Zelda: Digital Style? At least copies of the CD-I games would make for a bit of novelty...
@Ethan_Bricknell
from Official Rules:
http://www.nintendo.com/corp/My-Nintendo-Holiday-Sweepstakes-2016/
""Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who are residents of the 50 United States or District of Columbia who are at least 13 years of age at the time of entry""
Yeah, US as asways, is only North America...
@SakuraHaruka
Thanks, as I suspected.
Will any of these cool comps come to Australia please 😋
NA exclusive or not, I'm still getting the portable Maker the old way: saving money.
And once again Europe get nothing
Dang i was hoping one of the prizes would be a Wii U desktop wallpaper
Really hope NoE will do something similar, even a contest with only digital games as reward would be nice! (And I mean full games, don't make a competition with discounts as prizes NoE >.>; ).
Entered. I certainly wouldn't turn down that Mario pack of goodies.
Wow.
@Igetin If it does, it'll be run by Nintendo UK where they'll exclude Ireland and all other European countries like they always do.
Lots of Wii U prizes up for grabs.
Darnnn. Why don't I live in America 😭😭😭
Any special offers for Canadians?
Thanks for letting us know - probably would have missed this.
I gave it a shot. Probably won't win but no harm in trying, right?
I enteted....took 1 minute and who doesn't like free stuff. Doubt I will win but for a minute worth of work it is worth the time........opps, I mean this is really complicated and time consuming, I quit trying to enter after an hour, isn't Nintendo the worst!
No Wii U prizes.
not exclusive to North of America, exclusive to resident of the US only... no luck if you're canadian
"US ONLY"
I entered the sweepstakes, but it's a very low chance that I'll win. But hopefully I do. Good luck to those who entered too!
I entered, but I never have luck in contests or raffles, so I don't think I'll win.
It tells me it's only for US residents, so I guess it's only the states and not Canada.
For a second I read that word as "cheapskates" 😂
yeah Canada is part of North America. So please say it as US only.....instead of getting us Canadians hopes up
Here's my chance to win a 3DS, or not.
@MitchVogel actually it is only for US residents (with a US MyNintendo account).
Doesn't work if you live in Canada.
As economists say, if it's free, then you are the product.
A new contest is available in North America! Gets to website U.S. Only! Nintendo Life, foiled me again! I hope they will fix that soon.
Great contest, but not for Canadians. PPPPPFT.
HEY Nintendo Life, please update your article to say United States ONLY. Canada & Mexico (and about 20 other countries) are part of North America and this is exclusively for US residents. Please and thank you.
"We're sorry, but this sweepstakes is only open to residents of the U.S."
Well F.U. too nintendo!
You said North America, doesn't work for Canada.
I hope eventually the Nintendolife staff will learn that the US is not the only country in North America.
Its only open to US residents, too bad.
United States, not North America...
I noticed this when I checked my My Nintendo account last night. I went ahead and entered because I thought: Why not? I doubt I'll win, but both the Zelda and Pokemon packs interest me.
I might actually enter this sweepstakes to try and Win a New 3ds console, because I don't own a 3ds at all and I don't plan on purchasing one at all, because I don't really care for handheld game console I am more of a home console player. But if I win one I would use it.
Entered. Good luck to all who enter! I hope everyone has a happy holidays.
I wonder if I could make multiple accounts for multiple entries. Would Nintendo bother to check my ip...?
@SebTheGuy
That would be a dishonest and scumful act.
If you want a greater chance, share it via Facebook, or pray to God that you get chosen. I don't know why they didn't do, like, 12 candidates instead of 8. Even 10. Boggles the mind...
