Re: Sonic Frontiers' Sales "Greatly Exceeded" Expectations

I personnaly liked it but I really miss the ''city'' styles of Adventure 2 for example. I felt like after a little while, the whole world felt a bit drab ... generic and empty. The controls were not quite tight as well expecially in the cyberspace levels. Otherwise a great game. Great sound track!

It looks perfect. Pixel sprite could have been great as well but not 8bit sprites. A job like Inticreate does with Azure Striker Gunvolt would have been nice. I liked the fact that a lots of things have eyes like past games. For example, the huge pyramid in the baground at the start of the trailer has eyes.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Coming To Switch, Wii U Version Deader Than Drac Himself

@Ryu_Niiyama I understand your point but i'm pretty sure the decision to make the switch has been taken a long while ago. They just waited to announce it. They probably never really developped the WiiU since they knew a new platform was coming. WiiU was not compatible with Unreal Engine 4 after all and it was a complicated version for this reason. Now things are much more simple for them. Off course, it is sad since they had promise it but i think it make sense overall.

Re: Nintendo's Share Value Shows Positive Momentum Following Successful Switch Launch

@carlos82 I do agree but, In the past, i worked as a video game retailer and on launch we used to have around 10 consoles 2005-2006. (about 10 wii, 7 x360 and only 1 PS3). Yesterday, i went to this old place and the guy told me they had 60 Switch at launch. It is a lot more. If Ninty was able to shift that many consoles all around the world, then i guess it is normal that it is easier to find.

Re: Feature: Five Things We Expect From the Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase

I'm surprise to see so many folks still wishing for a gamecube VC. The controller has no Analog triggers. Most popular games used these. I would like to have one but seriously, I don't see it hapening. I suppose Nint could release a bunch of joycon made specifically for this, but it breaks the concept ''play everywhere, anytime''. I don't see myself bringing with me a Switch and two pair of joycon only to play GC games.... Sad!

Re: Kimishima Outlines Nintendo's Continued Attention on VR and Portable System Ideas

xj220_afiles

That would be really kool but let's not forget that the Switch has a 6.2in. screen with a 720P resolution. Using the switch like a cell phone on a headmount would put screen really close to our eyes meaning we would see a lot of pixel. Even the HTC Vive dost that and it has a 1080x1200 resolution at 90fps. That is my only concerns. Off course, I know Nintendo will find something as they always do but I do not think simply putting the switch on a headmount will do.

Re: Wall Street Journal Reports That Nintendo NX Will Indeed Use Flash-Based Game Cards

xj220_afiles

It's also important pointing out that a cartridge will probably consumes LESS ENERGY that a optical disc reader which is something very important for a portable system (if the rumor are to be believed off course).

I still think however that we don't have the full picture yet. Many times, nintendo said that the NX is not only a console but a platform (I know the difference is thin but...). Iwate himslef said that it would have many form factor. It's thus not impossible to see both, disc for a home console only, cartridge for a portable version of the same game, but that would be a very VERY bad move. My point is only that still have no ideas what is the NX beyond some rumor and that the NX might be something much bigger than we think.
