Re: E3 2017 Floor Plans Show Another Sizeable Nintendo Booth

veeflames

Of course, I'll follow all three companies. This year though I'm gonna focus on Nintendo and Sony. Nintendo cuz... well, Nintendo and Sony because I now have a PS4 and will be looking onto them for interesting Sony exclusives.
At least at this point it's looking better than it was last year. Hopefully my hopes aren't let down.

Re: Nintendo Switch Teardown Images Pop Up Online

Oh wow. The size of that battery, though. Maybe that's why it's not able to be replaced by the user. There's probably no way to design the Switch hardware in such a way that it also creates space for a battery slot that can be accessed.
That's what I think, anyway. But yeah, insides of video game consoles are always interesting to see.

Re: Poll: One Week to Go - How Are Your Nintendo Switch Presentation Hype Levels?

veeflames

I wanted to vote "Excited, but keeping my expectations in check," but I can't lie to myself. I'm really, really hyped because for some reason all I want to see is that 3D Mario game. I just picked up a PS4 but if the 3D Mario game blows me away and the line-up is impressive (oh, and if the price is generous), then I might just pick up the Switch in or around March.
Hard to believe the Switch will be coming out in 2 months time, too. This truly is a time to get hyped.

Re: Editorial: The 3D Effect - A Smart 3DS Feature That Struggled to Find Its True Depth

veeflames

I love the 3D and always used it myself. I always loved how the visuals of the game would look like they're going inside beyond the speakers as if you could see your fingers in the screen when you placed them behind the top screen, and how sometimes objects would pop out of the screen like you could actually touch them. I never got tired of 3D as it always amazed me.
It's a shame the 3D is being put in the backseat now. Especially now that I got a New 3DS with super-stable 3D I'm really gonna miss a 3D feature to play with along the Switch. Ah well.
EDIT: Oh right, I didn't use the 3D all the time. I switch the 3D off when I'm playing the 3DS in the bus (one of the reasons why I never play my 3DS or even any handheld in the bus or on the go) or when it's bright and I don't have control over the lightning. Other than that, the 3D slider will be up.

Re: Limited Numbers of Nintendo Switch Preview Invites Offered to US My Nintendo Members

veeflames

Heh. This comes at the time when I think Nintendo should send demo Switch units to its fans (through My Nintendo, of course) by surprise. It'll be really cool if they did that (even if I didn't receive one), but the odds are slimmer than the new HP Spectre laptop.
Also, I'm not even going to bother with this since there's a 100% chance this event isn't heading to where I live. I hope the people who are lucky enough have fun, though!

Re: Deals: Black Friday - New 3DS Super Mario Black & White Edition

veeflames

@PlywoodStick I have something to say. Ahem.
THANK. YOU. SO. MUCH.
Using the website that you gave me, I was able to preorder a Black New 3DS when it became available to at my local Walmart (just a few minutes ago!) Granted, my order doesn't seem to be granted at the very moment, but at least I know I have preordered my system.
I could say more, but now I'm tired. Maybe in the morning I'll say more. Maybe. But in all seriousness, though... thanks so much for that link! YOU SAVED MY CHRISTMAS.

Re: Deals: Black Friday - New 3DS Super Mario Black & White Edition

veeflames

@PlywoodStick Awesome. This feels weird to say this (cuz, ya know, Nintendo), but congrats on grabbing a New 3DS. I'm going to try heading to my GameStop tomorrow morning and see whether they have some in stock, but I'm really not counting on it. And I'm starting to lose hope on continuously refreshing pages every minute. I think I'm not going to get one eventually. Which is quite disappointing.
Anyways, again, nice work on snagging a N3DS. Have fun!

Re: Deals: Black Friday - New 3DS Super Mario Black & White Edition

veeflames

@JaxonH Were you able to get one yourself?
This was one thing I was looking forward to alongside a new PS4 and now it looks like I may not have the New 3DS for Christmas (which sucks, because I already brought a screen protector for it and I'm not willing to spend more than $100 for one). I hope for @PlywoodStick's hope that he gets one for all his camping troubles.
@Mc1111 Does that nean that somrunits will became unavailable soon?

Re: Super Mario Run Jumps Onto iOS on 15th December, Priced $9.99 for Full Unlock

veeflames

I've been doing a lot of thinking about it and I gues it's totally okay if the price tag means I can access absolutely everything in the game without paying for silly microtransactions and stuff. Because a lot of money has been spent on mivrotransactions... so why not just offer a bill that covers everything?
It'll be interesting to see how this game performs.

Re: Poll: Nintendo Switch Delivers Single Screen Gaming - Will You Miss the Dual Screen Concept?

veeflames

I mean, it WAS likely that Nintendo would move back to single screen gaming at some point (or triple screens, huh? Guys?)... just didn't think it was now.
I've loved every one of Nintendo's efforts at dual-screen gaming, so yeah I'll miss it... but the Switch is looking pretty decent so I guess I'll get used to it.... (I'm already used to it because I play games on other consoles but I'll have to get used to it on the Nintendo side of things. )

Re: Guide: Everything We Now Know About the Nintendo Switch

veeflames

@SKTTR I think Nintendo is going to allow GamePad support for dual screen action. Or they'll release some sort of controller for the Switch that has a screen.... but really, that option sounds unlikely at this point.
But yeah, I do agree Nintendo can't abandon dual screen gaming yet. What would that mean for our DS VC purchases, for example?

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of the Nintendo Switch?

veeflames

Wow. If these poll are anything to go by, then Nintendo might have just struck gold. Now all Nintnedo needs to do is market the thing like crazy and.... dare I say it? We might have another Wii on our hands. Well, in terms of sales, obviously.
