Well, if this is true does that mean that the NX home console controller has a screen on it? That'd be very nice. The only game I see having a release on NX is Zelda U, really. What's the point in releasing MK8 and Sm4sh on the NX as remasters? I'd like them but those are just ways for Nintendo to make a quick buck. I'd rather take new games rather than ports or remasters. Of course, Nintendo could always do a re-release of the best Wii U games on home console NX like they did with the earlier Pikmin titles.
@AlexOlney Oh no. Please don't jinx it. I'm actually serious, by the way. Anyway, I'm hoping for some info about the region. Still hoping for all the regions, plus the new one.
Yeah.... well, I don't know. Thing is, I can't be happy over the fact that a city was nuked (which is just unacceptable, tbh) over the city that contains my favorite gaming company. Interesting bit of trivia, but that's about it. I agree with @Nicolai and @Maxz, please change that tagline. It won't sit well with many people... at all.
Or... You could just notify us of the issue first before deleting the stages. Is that so hard to do, Nintendo? Thankfully, none of my courses have been deleted so far... Even those that have abysmal clear rates...
@Clownshoes I didn't grow up with Star Fox 64 and yet I'm hyped for SFZ. Does that qualify me for those nostalgia glasses you were talking about? Good Lord, comments like yours are annoying.
@Maxz Takes more than an hour for a baby to BE USED to walking. Sometimes it takes years. Sometimes...
Oh good Lord, what's worse than "bad"? I don't think the word describing the scenario above exists. Do we need to invent a new word?
Oops, misread your comment. I edited my post!
@crimsontadpoles I agree with you, is anyone here saying the controls are good, though? All they're saying is that they're willing to learn to learn the controls. On the other side, it's all chaos.
Definitely room for improvement (both service and app). For starters, Miitomo is pretty fun, but I don't think there's enough to keep people hooked. Asking questions over and over to buy clothes and stuff isn't going to cut it. I hope they update the app with minigames and stuff that increases its replay value. There's also the issue of battery power (which I can get why it drains the power quickly; Miitomo is surprisingly intensive. Which can explain why old hardware doesn't support it). And support should go beyond Android and iOS. I can't count the number of apps on my Fire tablet I had to install using an .apk file I got from a non-Google Play store/website. My Nintendo is OK so far, but I don't like that:
retail purchases don't count (yet?)
Gold coins expire in the first place (should last forever, IMO. I'm not the person who buys games and content at the time of launch, so it'll be a hassle trying to build up my coins). If they fix these problems, then I think Nintendo truly has a winner on their hands.
Sigh, no support for Amazon Fire systems. Oh well, I can always download the .apk files for my Fire tablet. I don't feel like playing Miitomo on my phone for some reason...
You can see the black livery Arwing in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt6WXVUim8I Looks cool, to be honest. But I've already said this in the forums; I think amiibo functionality is underutilized. Fox and Falco were already a step in the right direction. Why not include more amiibo support? Various (in fact, all of them) amiibo would provide themed liveries as well as various benefits and upgrades. And that could be extended to online play so each player has his or her own unique Arwing, just like Splatoon or Mario Kart. Such a missed opportunity. Anyway, I'm still hyped for the game. Launch day hopes!
Yeah, the 3DS is pretty much the best handheld (family) out there. I remember when I got my Cosmos Black 3DS... had to go some months before getting my first 3DS game (Nintendogs + Cats), then even waiting a lot more months for my second game (which I can't remember). That was a painful beginning. Sure, Nintendogs was fun, but it could only hold me for so long. Obviously the situation has changed, and now I have a massive 3DS backlog. I'm just glad I got to play and beat many 3DS gems - Uprising, 3D Land, Resident Evil Revelations, Dream Team, Smash Bros.... Good Lord, the list goes on and on and on! I love my 3DS!
Yay. Thank the good Lord! I've been thinking about it, though... and I think it might be great for a Nintendo device that can play mobile games. That ensures constant third party support, that's for sure.... as well as Nintendo's mobile titles. But either way, I'm glad virtual buttons aren't replacing my main control schemes. So so so glad. @MetaRyan and bashing Nintendo for it.
@LiamR Yeah, I realize I misrepresented the facts (I could have sworn I read that there were development hiccups along the way... I guess that was just internet drama that I myself got swooped in). Apologies.
@TheRealThanos Whoa. How did we even get to this point? I was just saying that while I very much want to believe Liam, there's still some sort of possibility that this could be real. Now my age has somehow entered the debate! OK, oops. Maybe I exaggerated some things. But I'm out.
@TheRealThanos If you're talking about my Star Fox comment, it's because Liam said so. Or something along the lines. I mean, since you're definitely on his side, wouldn't you actually believe the game would be delayed? Just asking...
About the controller? I'm happy if it's not true. But then it's not really confirmed. Like this, I'm going to take Cupcakes' tweets with grains of salt. Maybe a little, but still some salt.
@Splatburst Well from what we've seen of Star Fox Zero everything looks just fine. Even Miyamoto confirmed that the game was finally finished anyway, so... shrugs
Just so you know, I edited this post.
@TheRealThanos Oh really? Guess I'm not playing Star Fox Zero in April because apparently, there's some sort of hiccup with the game's development. Look, I'm not saying it isn't true. But the whole "friend at NOE" thing is just yet another rumor. I'm hoping it's true, but that's it.
@MGray I'm thinking that too. I firmly believe a new handheld is on the way. But even then... I'm not sure I want to play my games without buttons. Or even the stylus (played Kid Icarus and Phantom Hourglass with it, so I'll give you that).
EDIT: I played Uprising with the stylus and the circle pad, so there's that. Note the "circle pad"
I wonder if Nintendo decided the dual screen concept is enough (Phat DS to the New 3DS XL) and try something else. Maybe this is it. If it is, well there will be a lot of convincing to do!
@EXP Well, to be fair... the PS4's controller isn't exactly normal, either. It has the touchpad as well as the LED in front of it. If anything, the "normal" controllers of this generation are the Xbox One's and the Pro Controller. I'm expecting a screen on the NX home console's controller. But not this oval thingy.
@allav866 And yet again someone relates what I say to my avatar! But no. My avatar is the complete opposite of what I think about this rumor. @Kirk I'm very curious, who wrote that article you posted? Because that person seems to have an extreme bias for VR... which is probably why you chose it. Or maybe wrote it.
I think the worst part is that we can't even totally deny that it's false... because Nintendo is most likely to do this thing (not exactly a bad thing, though). How does this thing even work?! No buttons whatsoever! That's just a big recipe for disaster. I tried it (touchscreen controls) with DuckTales Remastered for my tablet. I tried it with Killer Bean Unleashed. It's just not good. Now imagine if MK or Smash was to be played on this thing. I really hope this is just a rumor, or it's just some old idea of Nintendo someone got his/hands on. I have a hard time believing Nintendo let this past the R&D stages. It's... what is that thing?!
@EJzelda LOL, I was really wondering why this article already had 29 comments in the span of 14 minutes. I'm guessing there's a lot of traffic going on right now (something like this is obviously going to stir the waters). So when users try to put in their comment, it looks like it didn't go through, making them click the reply button again. Educated guess, or the comment system's just messed up.
@Captain_Gonru Isn't Skype available on the Vita? I don't think there's much harm putting Miitomo on the MS Store. Of course, I'm not seeing it happening any time soon. I personally hope I can get it on the Amazon App Store. If not, I can always download the .apk file for the game.
@CubeFanLucy Oh, it was distributed through SpotPass? Hm... I have been getting a lot of notifications but I don't read them. Well, I guess I'm the one to blame here, especially if I check my notifications and find the message there!
@rjejr My avatar really has nothing to do with this! It's just that I like Zootopia's Flash, double-yard dash (if you don't get that part then apologies ). Consider that avatar my reaction to a new Direct, NX reveal, or Zelda U news, though... Twitter? I think Twitter sucks. Guess that's why I didn't get the news... But why Twitter only? And why didn't Nintendo Life report on this? Ok, I'd better stop with the questions now lol
Oh, now the Wii U is somehow now powerful to run the game? How interesting. You know, I want to see what those people who defended the developer back then have to say now.
Let's put it this way. Say I buy a magazine in Google's Play Store on my phone. Do I have to buy it again on Google Chrome just so I can read it on my PC? Certainly not. It's there waiting for me when I open my Chrome browser. With that I don't see this as "cross-buy." There's nothing that seperates the 3DS VC version of the game from the Wii/U VC version. I'm basically buying the same thing. So why do I buy the same thing twice if I don't need it?
I'm sorry, but why must we pay full price for games we already brought on the Wii U? It's supposed to be free. Not even a discount. F-R-E-E. And why is the SNES VC available only on the New 3DS? So that we have another incentive to upgrade if we haven't done so? Nope. Not going to happen. For me, at least. I don't even care if the games are expensive (exaggerating a bit, but you get the idea), just let me buy it once and nothing more. That's what I'm going to keep on doing with the SNES games on Wii U.... I think it's even better that way. SNES games on the TV look fantastic.
