I'm so excited for the new 3D Mario. It looks brilliant, really. And for the first time in 6 years we can triple jump. Oh, and Splatoon is looking neat on the Switch. Like, really neat. Well, except that we don't know whether there'll be motion controls or touchscreen controls. But yeah, I hate that we're still in October. >
@Joeynator3000 Yeah, suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure.......
Anyway, free gold coins, so yeah. I downloaded it. I'm scared to try it, though.... because it looks bad and reviews bad. I'm guessing it's not going to stay in my hard drive for a long time... :-/
@Joeynator3000 You might want to give Lego City Undercover a try first, if you're looking for a Lego game to try out first. Excellent, funny, and not as glitchy as some of the Lego games seem to be (that might explain the game's long loading times, though).
I'm going to list my favorite GC games when I have a lot of free time but for now, I'm just going to say that Mario Kart Double Dash and Super Mario Sunshine are masterpieces.
I've already seen GameXplain's footage of this stage, so nothing new for me to see here. I do have to say that I really like that boss fight music! Hoping the game has an excellent soundtrack.
@crimsontadpoles Well, that's the thing though. Pikmin is rarely fast paced; you're either just exploring the world and grabbing new Pikmin... or just grabbing new fruit. It's probably fast paced with boss battles but I think that's it. Trinen did mention that Pikmin 3DS is developed with action in mind, so maybe we'll be getting a lot of fast-paced action.
@Lewieboy124 Nintendo needs to use the resources they used for the ported games to actually promote the Wii U version of the game, instead of doing this.
@MoonKnight7 @Pikmin22 I think of this game as what 2D Metroid games are to 3D Metroid games. And for some reason it sounds like Nintendo has nailed the 2D gameplay of Pikmin for the 3DS.
Not a big fan of the way Nintendo keeps porting Wii U exclusives to the 3DS (if Splatoon makes it to the 3DS, I swear...), but I guess Mario Maker was an obvious choice. I especially predicted the wealth of various local-sharing options, especially StreetPass which I think would be pretty neat. One question, though... Do Wii U users have to buy the 3DS version again (that is, full price)? Because that would not be ideal.
@Frosty_09 Oh, definitely a sequel to Dual Strike. See, One of the reasons why I love Advance Wars is its staple "Haribo" colorful visuals. It's really cute and somehow complements the explosive violence in the game quite well. While I've enjoyed what I've played of Days of Ruin, I'm not a big fan of the dark, dritty nature of that game at all. It almost feels non-Advance Wars like, even if the excellent strategy-based gameplay is still present. Long story short, I'd very much appreciate a return to the cheery, colorful visuals of the first three AW games. Days of Ruin is not bad in the slightest; it's just that I don't like the context of that game.
@Tlink7 @Grumblevolcano Well, Nintendo wouldn't spend one-thirds of their Direct talking about Fed Force... especially since it's already been released in some regions.
@Tlink7 Guarantee that one-third of the Direct will be about Fed Force? Want to take a bet on that? Because... Federation Force has already been released.
@Giygas_95 While it's a great idea, A Paper Luigi game based on Waffle Kingdom (and a little bit of Rogueport) won't work, I'm afraid... We already know the full story. Tons of players will be playing a game that has already been spoiled for them. I think a better idea would be making a Mr. L game that combines the best of Super Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door (which includes exploring more of Dimentio's dark side). @Blue_Blur Awww! I was hoping to comment "Just sitting here, waiting for Blue_Blur to make a comment on this article" but you already commented.
This comment section is killing me. And judging by the comments above I'm surprised that a lot of people here haven't played LCU... It's a great game that deserves to be played by lots.
But yeah, this comment section.
@JaxonH How in heaven's name are you running GCN games on the Wii U? Unless Homebrew....
EDIT: Oh, don't worry about it. Just saw your comment about vWii...
Excellent. I was already sure the puzzle-solving craziness of the Layton games had come to an end, but it seems that isn't the case anymore. I'll miss Professor Layton, that's for sure (hint hint).
I already have Generations on PC but I'm thinking of getting a console version since the PC version runs like crud (I really can't tell whether it's my hardware or just poor optimization). Maybe I'll give in to this sale.
@samuelvictor Of all the people who set you off like that... @Kirk Right. Because... I dunno, magnets never had that shape before Nintendo released that patent? And because... I dunno, Nintendo will base the controller of their future console off the tiny new feature of JUST one game? Wow. Amazing.
Hehe. In other words, "We had to release this game on two platforms to try and maximize our profits. Simple." And I'm very supportive of that reason... which is why I'll forgive the TP-esque scenario here.
I just hope the GamePad isn't neglected too much here. I want to play this game with the GP through out and I don't want it to feel like an afterthought...
@JaxonH eh... I think Microsoft had the best showing this year. Sony's was great, no doubt... but I didn't jump up and scream in joy for many games shown in Sony's E3 (Crash and REVII were spectacular news, though) unlike in Microsoft's and Nintendo's where the Xbox One S (as well as Forza) and Zelda: BotW alone made this E3 totally worthwhile for me. BotW was especially amazing... just, WOW. IS THIS ZELDA?! I still want a PS4 this year, though. If Sony announced a PS4 Mini ala the Xbox One S, then Sony might have had the best conference to me. But of course, I think I, as well as you, as well as everyone here, as gamers are in for the treat.
Went in with the lowest of expectations, came out like a giddy idiot that couldn't stop thinking about how amazing Zelda U was. Sure, there was the frustrating lack of new software (or even software at all) but I think Nintendo did a nice job not raising people's expectations like they did last year. Can't wait for this game's release. @shani Thank you for that. I'll will always say that gamers win E3, not the companies. This E3 was pretty decent, to boot. Fighting over which company had the best showing is just as dumb as fanboyism.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Opinions, opinions. I absolutely adore Skyward Sword (I'm not going into detail as to why, though... I'm already tired of doing so countless times). I had very low expectations for the game after hearing about the "reviews," but after playing it I feel like it's easily one of the best games on the Wii and a masterpiece-y sendoff for the system.
Windows 10 exclusives and Xbox Slim hype. I hope Microsoft is really considerate of not-so-gaming laptops. My laptop is lacking on the graphics side and I don't have the money to upgrade the graphics card (yay for PCs -_-. And an Xbox One Slim will automatically increase my chances of buying an Xbox One this year by... ten or something.
Since E3 2015 was the first E3 I ever watched live, I do not have many memorable moments for E3 like watching live trailers and such. But I have been watching past E3 and reveals and by far the best moment of any E3 ever is probably the fight between Iwata and Reggie during Nintendo's E3 2014 conference/event. That was epic beyond words.... so epic was it that I was actually sad when they stopped fighting to sit down and demonstrate Smash's amiibo functionality. It was just amazing.
@Grumblevolcano I just said it was a guess. Nintendo seem to be promoting Zelda U a lot so at this point a Zelda U demo might as well be the final straw. Besides, there's also this from the article: "... but it will include a 'special bonus' for those with My Nintendo accounts ..." Special bonus can mean many things, but I'm not going to get my hopes up!
Best news I've heard all... well, let's just say it's the best news I've heard in a long while. Thank you Playtonic for not shrugging Wii U owners under the rug. I wish this game was still planned for release this year, but oh well. I'll be playing an even better game come Q1 2017. I can't wait!
I'm not really hyped for this year's E3. I'm not really interested in Microsoft's presentation, I have only one thing on my wishlist for Sony's conference which I can't be certain will be fulfilled, and Nintendo's E3, despite Zelda U, is looking barebones. I'll be watching Nintendo's E3 since I'm not going to school that day while I have to go to school during Microsoft/Sony's conference, but I'm not keeping my hopes high during this one. Shame...
@ThanosReXXX Haha, I guess that's true. Does Reggie even have any say in hardware design? I don't think so... which makes his comments on VR post-E3 2015 basically damage control. Luckily Nintendo themselves haven't commented much on VR, so we're still in the clear. Maybe.
@ThanosReXXX Depends on how you see things, really. The internet is the best thing ever AND the worst thing ever combined in one package. So Gates is partially right. Heck, my internet can act stupid sometimes! Does that count?

@NintendoFan64 Welcome back. NX is already doing wonders before its reveal, isn't it?
@Don There'll be music, there'll be ---- Oh wait...
Re: Editorial: Some Context on the Nintendo NX 'This Week' Claims
People need to calm down. The reveal's coming... this impatience isn't going to hasten the day the NX is going to be revealed.
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th September (North America)
Fast Racing Neo DLC as well as a Pokemon theme (Team Rocket for the win).

Yeeeeah nope. Just get the Wii U version at this point, then.... StreetPass course sharing sounds really good but the bad outweighs the good.

I need to see more of this.
