Love this game, excited to play it again.

The art style in this game is stunning, I’m not concerned about the resolution to be honest, it looks stunning compared to the Wii version and that’s good enough for me. For handheld... 3DS games are still fun and the resolution was far lower there!

I am presumably the target demographic; I had Pong on my Atari 2600 in 1982, and loved it at the time. However, I don't feel the need to replay it, or especially a loose spin-off turning this basic reflex based game into an RPG. Pass.

I agree with several comments above, the form factor is pretty much perfect in my opinion. Future versions can just increase the power.

Save me looking them all up, from the comments looks like Akane, Rekt, Utopia 9 are worth getting.

I’s forgotten about Touryst, must get give that a go, it looks great.

@marnelljm Yes, you're right, they should definitely price-match this new release to the PS3 original.

I don't understand the logic of people saying "This is discounted on PS4!! LOLZ". Sure, that's because it was released 2 YEARS AGO on that platform. Games that are 2 years old are often discounted. They'll have long-since recovered their development costs, any sales now are a bonus. This is new to Switch, meaning it has just been significantly rewritten for this platform. If you want companies to take time and spend money creating great ports for Switch, don't complain that they're priced as new games.

I’m not a big Minecraft fan, but I like the design a lot. It’s minimalist and very cool in my eyes.

Sounds really like an easy ‘yes’ for those (like me) who grew up gaming in the 80’s.

Having just watched a comparison video of the censorship, I’s say I’d rather play the censored version. The original version is definitely sexualised, and it feels uncomfortable to me since the character is a child. I can’t comment on the plot changes, but, again, it sounds like the original involved young girls dressing in a sexualised way, so happy to skip that to be honest.

@Gwynbleidd Grab a used Wii U, that way you get can get Super Mario 3D World too. Not as good as either Galaxy, but still tremendous fun. And there's Wonderful 101 etc too.

From the trailer I thought the multi-player aspect looked fun, I know my children would enjoy showing me up with 1 vs 1 games! Price seems very fair to me (with the stylus).

@Precinct1313 Yes, I replayed LoM on my iPad a couple of years ago, it's still a brilliant game. Mike Singleton was an absolute legend, sadly missed.

I'd be interested if I could just buy it, but the freemium model is a big turn-off for me... Maybe the £19.99 pack is okay, might give it a chance.

Motorsport Manager for me... I’d meant to get it when it was released but never got around to it.

@gamekill Ok, I haven't played in portable mode, and, in honesty, probably would notice mild sluggishness for a few seconds. If a game is stuttering it would jar but if it's just a moment of slowness in a game that doesn't rely in timing I probably wouldn't pay any attention to it.

@aVagabond It’ a brilliant game. Don’t let the online chatter about performance stutters put you off unless you’re someone that is really sensitive to frame rate. It’s not a game where split-second timing is involved, and personally I haven’t noticed anything amiss with the way it runs. It’s sitting at 88% on Metacritic so I guess the vast majority of reviewers agree that there’s nothing in the performance to detract from the gameplay. I didn’t play the original version so no nostalgia involved for me either.

@chipperkwah Well, if I don’t notice it at all and you think it’s extremely obvious there’s some difference there.

@chipperkwah I guess not everyone’s as sensitive to frame rate variations as others? I can’t really comment on something I don’t notice, except to tell it how I see it.

I literally haven’t noticed any performance issues, so can’t say it’s impacted my enjoyment!

I'm loving the game so far. Regarding the framerate issues... I literally haven't noticed anything amiss. The game looks beautiful and seems to me to run great. It's not the sort of game that relies on split second reactions so I can't imagine it causing me an issue in any case.

If this outsells Link's Awakening on launch day I can see a few feathers being ruffled at Nintendo HQ...

@Haywired Quite right, I had viewed the trailer at the bottom of the article, which did have the annoying static VHS effect. The top video looks much better without it.

I agree with the comments above regarding the VHS effect; if this is part of the game they’ve scored a big own-goal there.

Seems like a huge amount of effort is being made with this game; the 3d/2d modes are looking great, and there's even a story mode. Should be a really fun family game.

I never finished this on Wii, so will definitely go again on Switch. It's a great game!

No way I’d upgrade just for better battery, although if some people will there might be a number of used Switch’s on the second hand market and so some bargains to be had.
