Sunborn Network and X.D. Network have released a brand new trailer for Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, an upcoming tactical RPG headed to Switch.
The game is a remake of 2013's Code Name: Bakery Girl, and it's set to be revamped with new artwork, voice-overs, story-lines, and gameplay mechanics. The new video above gives us just a taste of what the game's plot and tactical RPG gameplay will offer, and we must say, the art style has us feeling more than ready to give it a good go.
Here's a little more info to get you clued up:

Finding allies and uncovering a massive conspiracy surrounding code name"Bakery" along the way.
We don't have a release date for this one just yet, but a Switch version has been confirmed alongside releases on PC and mobile.

Hmm interesting name, but I am curious. I’ll keep tabs on this one.
I'm a sucker for most SRPG's so I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
That looks like a game I would really enjoy! Need to keep an eye on this one.
Edit: Anyone else want to keep an eye or tabs on this one lol (at the first 3 comments)
Does this control like 'Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars' on the 3DS? (AKA Advance Wars style)
I’m keeping my eyes on my tabs.
With bakery in the game name i really want some baking too happen
Alternate title -
Swollen Hyena: Random Alias Grenade
So, basically a Chibi RTS, then? A shame. If it would have been more like Valkyria Chronicles, then I would have been interested.
Love the eccentric title and story protagonists.
I'd assumed the Stupid Name Olympics had been postponed this year because of Coronavirus and yet, here we are.
At first I was thinking it was going to play something like Cannon Fodder (which is surely due to be revamped by now). I usually like skirmish-level turn-based combat but I'm not too keen on the art-style for the in-game sprites.
Not fan of the name but down for the tactics gameplay and story seemed interesting.
XCOM2 says hello.
I think this title is actually worse than under night in-birth exe: late(cl-r). With that I can at least assume it's a niche series and something was just lost in translation. But reverse collapse: code name bakery makes just enough sense to sound like a cooking mama/over cooked clone, and if you've never heard of those games the title makes literally no sense. It's like they picked random words out of a dictionary.
Will keep an eye on this as it looks right up my street!
@Spoony_Tech great minds and all that. I don’t like to keep eyes on anything...only have one to go around lol!
@Lawnachaun That was my first thought when watching the trailer. Really made me want another game similar to it.
I love it but I’m not a fan of the mobile game art style
I might've been interested, but like others mentioned, I'm really not a fan of the chibi art style.
Meh, not enough hentai, pass!
This game actually seems pretty cool. I'll wait until reviews, but I'll be keeping my eyes on it.
I am aware that this is an old article but I would like to express my opinion. I've played the original 2009 VN (Girl of the Bakehouse), currently playing the 2013 Tactical RPG that this game is a remake of (Codename: Bakery Girl), as well as being a huge fan of Girls' Frontline that brought me into this series.
I can understand the distaste for the mobile game chibi artstyle as Girls' Frontline (a mobile gacha game, and one of the best) made it relatively mainstream, at least the gacha community.
I can also forgive people who think the name is stupid as the name of the game is very in-tune with the lore of the series such as Collapse Fluid and the Bakery Girl being a reference to the white-haired blue-eyed female protagonist.
This is really for the people that are curious and stumble upon this article and want to learn.
Anyways, I personally am really looking forward to the new story that Girls' Frontline kind of brought new things to the table and the prospect of multiple branching paths that you can hop around sounds awesome! No tactical RPG has given me a better feel of being a guerilla fighter than Codename. Can't wait to see the enhancements.
