I cannot be the only one that tries to use the home menu button, and presses the chat button instead. In my opinion, the chat menu could have been accessed though the home menu in th3 first place..

I think Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda game, we rented it for 30 minuites in a hotel room back when that was a thing. But my first exposure to the series was in Melee when I was like 8. The one day my sister's friend lent us the GameCube collectors edition, so that was my first time playing those other 3 games.

I own all the games and remakes, even all versions of Links Awakening, Twilight Princess and BoTW. Beaten most of them at least twice, except the Wild era games, (they're too big! I think I got 2 divine beasts on my WiiU) and have 100% Majora's Mask countless times, as it is one of my 3 favourite games of all time.

Today's my day off, so I guess I'll finally start working on my Lego Deku Tree set in celebration. If today's the series' anniversary, it's kinda weird Nintendo didn't make Lego release the next Zelda Lego one. week. earlier..

@Ironcore the discontinue is an inevitable, but now I've got every Nintendo console to display on my shelf (except for the famicoms) and Lord knows I ain't paying eBay prices for a 30 year old console that might work, plus however much a single VB cartridge costs.

I guess I never appreciated how much people said it hurt their eyes. I'm loving VB Wario Land and Tetris 3D; Red Alarm was fun, as well as Teleroboxer, but as per any games in those genres, I suck at them. A single level of VB Wario Land is a good length without causing too much eye strain.

I ×guess× I understand that nintendo wants us enthusiasts to experience the VB as close as possible, but a black & white filter should have been there from the start. (you can remove red eye filter and make your switch greyscale, but that's a hassle)

I tried to put a custom shell on mine, and I got 95% done, and I snapped a ribbon cable that connects the rail buttons/mouse. I was gonna buy just a single left joycon, but then these were announced, so I thought "if im buying a new one, may aswellget the new colour"

I never got Splatoon 3 because I was (sea) salty that they abandoned Splatoon 2 so soon, but since the KEEP UPDATING SPLAT3, i might finally get it

I'm gonna get this, if not just for the Zelda and Ganondorf minifigs, but I wish they would do a set based on a different game, specifically Majora's Mask.

And they need to do a Minish Cap set, it would basically be to scale irl. I'd drop bank for a bunch of Minish minifigs

Despite Switch 2 being ~somewhat backwards compatible, they did a poor job of data movement. Switch 2 is more powerful, yet its dock is incapable useless unless you have the right cable. And ONLY express SD cards work. So I guess I gotta use a computer to transfer my SD card data. Very cool, thanks Nintendo!

The fact that you need to take the joy cons off to put it in the case, means I'm not getting it, all other factors are irrelevant.

I'll probably get a Skull and Co case/setup, as I absolutely love my S1 case. But I'm willing to shop around and be crazy this gen (and perhaps get a themed case)

I can't believe it's been 10 years, but I still remember pissing off my friend that drove me to Walmart to buy "one thing", (the game) and then walking out with all the amiibos, then her face, lol

I got FAST RMX when it first launched and there were like no games in the eshop, I played it a bit but wasn't that big of a fan. Years later I got into F-Zero thanks to 99, and then like a year later I remembered about Fast, and now I actually like it. I'll probably get this when I get a Switch 2, whenever that'll be

@xj220_afiles the Switch sees the Hori controller as a generic Bluetooth controller. It works for the hand -feel, plus the D-pad is bigger, and the extra buttons are on the face, and not the top, basically what I would expect a modern controller to do.

I'm happy with my Hori GameCube Switch controller for now. I like how they just mirrored the GCN's Z and R to get ZL and L, plus it's the colour my controller was, black. I'll eventually get the GCN Switch 2 controller, but it will feel like I'm playing with my sister's controller.

I think it would have been cool to keep the old designs on Switch 1 only, and then the new designs on Switch 2. It would have been a subtle way to differentiate the consoles, and really hammer home that the Switch 2 is new.

Also, I think it would be appropriate to do a different pose for the new DK, maybe a less tough and a more playful?

I think instead of adding 50-ish new Pokémon species every generation, they should add new evolutions to existing Pokémon like what up to Gen 5 did; add baby forms or a final evolution, just please no more Pikachu clones

I'm guessing this announcement means that we won't get an EoW Zelda amiibo. Which is a shame, as having essentially matching chibi Link and Zelda GB style figurines would be goat

@Twilite9 Wasn't NERD (Nintendo Europe Research & Development) the group that developed the NES & SNES Mini emulators, as well as the Switch Online emulators? Clearly they are capable of developing quality software, so it'd be interesting to see what they could produce on their own

It would have been so cool if these worked as actual controllers, like basically a joy-con, or wiimote+nunchuck set up

I love these so much. I'm not gonna collect them all, but the odd one or two decorates my house plant table nicely. If I ever get any from this set, it'll be #6/Dandori Challenge or #4 Night Expedition - especially if the glow pikmin and lumiknoll glow in the dark.

I think I might finally buy the PC version. Long story short, I'm wanting to make a new game and if want it to be long term, PC will be easier to keep the same file 8 years from now. I'm glad I can connect switch controllers to PC, but it'll suck not being able to play it on the go (and no, I'm not getting a steamdeck for 1 farming game)

I totally ignored going to Lookout Landing (I actually thought they removed the paraglider, for a few days...), and then I stumbled upon a random Well that led to the Depths. It was honestly, literally one of the few times my jaw has been blown open. Once I realized there was a whole "dark world", any reservations I had about TOTK being in the same world disappeared

They offered the bandana a few years ago which is when I got it, I think it's pretty good quality, as far as bandanas go. Unfortunately I never wear bandanas, but I still think it's cute, and am excited to use it for.. something or accessorize, one day....
