@ShadJV @Capt_N It was the highlight of the Wii console to see that notification light. Once it lit up, I knew something great was happening. Either I got a message from a friend (mostly this), or I got an alert from a game. Either way, I really miss it.
Seeing this, I wish the dock itself could light up rather than the LED on the controller.
@NEStalgia Yeah, I play South Park a lot and I know exactly what you're referring to regarding the toilet game. I remember having issues with accuracy a few times but it would go back to normal as soon as I let go of the stick.
@DTFaux It was added to the Joy-Con lawsuit against Nintendo so is it really only two examples? Or did they jump the gun. I'm really interested in finding out.
I've never experienced the drift issue myself and neither has my wife on her Switch Joy-Con. Mine is a launch unit and hers we go about 6 months after launch. Not sure why our 8 Joy-Con are having no issues while everyone else is. Just lucky I guess.
If you ask me, comparing this to Nintendo Switch Online isn't a good idea.
The mobile market is different from the console market. Nintendo knows that. They are also experimenting with different things. Just because someone downloads Mario Kart Tour doesn't meant they have a Nintendo Switch, or pay for the NSO service.
Yeah, it would be cool if Nintendo offered NSO subscribers this for free as part of their sub, but they're two different things, so this should not be expected.
@Mykillvee @Savino @Daktotastomp I was thinking the same thing about Family Guy Kart.
Or they could pull an Animation Throwdown (Android and iOS game) type of deal and combine them all for some truly crazy Karting with all of the characters combined. I see lots of tracks, karts, characters, and potential for DLC.
@neogyo A $5 limit would be a great idea for the best-seller list, as it would keep most of the sub-par garbage bin stuff at bay. That being said, I do enjoy some of the games that I bought at less than $5. Plague Road and Castle of Heart, for example. Maybe a combination of price + ratings would work.
@MysticalOS Is the ability to steal stuff still a part of this game? I didn't actually see any mention of that, but I'm okay with trying it for myself anyway.
@Jokerwolf I honestly agree with you somewhat, even though I've already committed to buying this game. It's a shining example of what a great Zelda game is, even if they did skimp on the added content.
I would be a lot happier buying this if it at least had a second quest, secret dungeons, or added challenges in it, but I won't feel completely ripped off if it's the same game with prettier graphics either.
That said, it would also be nice if Nintendo committed to DLC for it, even if it's something as small as being able to change the color of your tunic or sword.
@Ichiyama @NintendoByNature @Tyranexx @Mamabear Thank you! The last week flew by. We actually did play some SNES when she wasn't hogging the Switch to play Fortnite lol
@Zacattack99 That's what I think too. It has to be a huge undertaking by Nintendo trying to get the licensing alone, let alone trying to decide which games to even try and get licensed, plus figuring out the release schedule so there's something for everyone.
I mean, I get the impatience. I really do. I'd love to have some SNES / N64 / GCN / GB games on the service, but trying to get licensing rights for all those hundreds of games across all those generations of systems from a number of different developers is a daunting task that anyone here would probably be driven nuts over.
I don't care. It was dumb. It was cheesy. But I loved the movie. The casting was well done and it ended on a cliffhanger, leaving it open for a sequel that, let's face it, we all knew would never see the light of day. But my 7 year old mind was absolutely blown.
@Lizuka If parents are allowing their children to bully other kids, especially because of a stupid game with optional digital content, then the f2p model is the least of the problems. Adequate parenting - - which includes taking away Fortnite privileges - - would be the bigger issue.
Funny thing about the classic commercial... if you go to the website shown at the end of it, it's still around. Only now it doesn't have the 90's staple flashy GIFs, loud font, and crazy graphics that take forever to load. Good times.
@MartyFlan It's true. I own two news websites and I got tired of the industry norm of copy and paste years ago, which unfortunately carried over into my journalists as well and it was almost impossible to get them to stop.
One way I did combat it, though, was to require at least two different sources per article, and I checked for copy and paste and if something was too similar, I required a rewrite.
Not sure how things are done at NL, but that's what I did for awhile. Unfortunately, other things in life pulled me away from the websites, so they are no longer maintained.
I admit I was looking forward to this, as I haven't really played Minecraft much lately, but this would have given the game a different look and feel for sure. Hopefully Mojang will be able to make some kind of graphical update that looks and performs great.
Considering Nintendo and Sony were both working on the PlayStation together, this is only half-surprising. Mostly because it's a Capcom game rather than a Sony/Nintendo game for the console.
It kind of sounds like an Atari 2600 remix of part of the Mario theme.
@thatawesomedude Actually the N64 did get a revision, and it was a quiet revision similar to this new Switch model. The original N64 shipped with a different motherboard than the latest model (in North America, the original had NUS-CPU-03 motherboard while the last N64 in production had the newer more efficient NUS-CPU-09 motherboard. There wasn't really a difference besides the amount of power that was consumed (the heatsink blocks were removed from the latest N64 model to improve electric efficiency).
This is in addition to what @Asaki just said.
Plus, we can count the "memory expansion pack" that was released for games like The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask as a technical "revision" even though it didn't require the purchase of an upgraded console (if we're splitting hairs).
@Heavyarms55 Agree with you here. Jim Carrey also has gotten crazy lately, as is evidenced by his tasteless illustrations and some of the things he says and does. Then again, most of Hollywood is completely insane so it's not like he has much of a choice if he wants to be successful.
@Alztru OMG myTube is the best. Still my go-to way of watching YouTube videos on my Windows PC and tablet. I take out my Windows Phone now and then and I made my Android phone look like Windows using the Square Home Launcher. Good times on WP.
@Alztru I'm also a former Windows Phone user and I can safely say that the Nintendo Switch Online app was definitely not the reason I switched. Unfortunately, the app is useless. I've only used it for voice chat once and that was only because my friend in the UK didn't have a Discord at the time. Since then, it's been sitting on my phone, taking up space, and hasn't been opened once.
@commentlife You're right, his comments are gone. Good thing too. That kind of drama just doesn't have a place on a post like this, when people have had their real lives negativity impacted.
So we have a tragedy happening in the gaming industry with the closure of this studio and @haxxor_2point0 @commentlife and @Paraka have taken into trolling each other in a comment section instead. The lack of empathy in some people is just staggering.
On topic, I do hope all of these talents find new jobs in the gaming industry. We need more creative minds to move the industry forward. Losing a job is never easy, but hopefully they'll find something else soon.
@Ralizah At least someone gets it. You sound like a smart and down to Earth person, unlike many I've seen on here.
Yes, this game may not be my cup of tea, but who am I to judge anyone if they enjoy these games? Like you said, reality is reality, fiction is fiction. If people aren't smart enough to tell the difference, then they probably shouldn't have a video game console in the first place (and should likely be committed for everyone's safety).

I'm surprised the "Where's Waluigi?" comments haven't been as popular on this one.
Though Luigi is clearly a glaring omission.

@Pablo17 Same here. I tried to buy a bunch of Amiibo that had apparently been set out like a week early last year and the barcode turned up empty.

@Xelha I first read that in the picture to myself using the voice from 300. Then I scrolled down and saw your comment and did it again.
