Enjoyed XB 3, Kirby, MHR expansion and Violet. Outside of those my Switch was essentially a console for Indie games and MK8. I would not sell my Switch. However, I would not be surprised if devs reach a point sooner rather then later of watering down their product for a port. Which I think may be healthy to stimulate Nintendo to update hardware past a beautiful screen.
Reminds me of the marketing strategy that Blizzard did with World of Warcraft round 2010 with actors showing their characters in WoW. Would love to know how much of this is a paycheck/good acting and how much is them really being a video gamer. (Brie- seems legit; Brendan Fraser-gamer that's labeled his owned Switch)
After playing WoW for over 13 years from Vanilla 1st being released it is hard to believe as now a former player this is the same company that I enjoyed watching a documentary online by them during Lich King time celebrating the mom and pop family start up atmosphere it was when WoW online came about. If I recall that docu was up around 2010.
As one that keeps staying into MHR at least weekly for a good hunt, I want to say hats off to Capcom for keeping the content coming. I love how they are not shelving this game after they made their money. Based upon MHR and Stories 2 sales I am looking forward to Nintendo making MH more of a permanent seat at the gaming-cycle table.
That is funny how the movie was a different time period of music, but the game devs went with 80's genre music. I dig the music list. Kind of feels like the lost tracks to GTA: Vice City.
I owned my OLED less than 15 minutes and could already appreciate the more rich colors on screen and more expansive viewing environment. Seems, just like viewing customer pics of TV screens, it does not capture well to show in film/picture medium. Hopefully some will be on display in store.
I would think there would be some "click ok" warning message to release them of liability of usage habits (lesson learned from joycons) if burn-in was that sensitive of a potential event. Reading some professional tech websites it seems the platform manufactures have modified light distribution patterns to avoid burn-in much like LCD has modified itself to avoid Dirty Screen Effect.
Would be cool if some of the people that played the characters these skins are from would say if they played Fort; I know Will is huge Zelda fan based upon his past interviews...one was in Nintendo Power if I recall.
Lol; looks like the characters from Portal Knights with a sword based combat that you get from a stone like BoTW all within an open world with all kinds of side quest and main quest like World of Warcraft...not sure if I have seen these elements before...but I enjoy all the latter so will enjoy this too!
Seems it is becoming safe to say that for every post that is endorsing the OLED being hot garbage rolling downhill; there is another that is excited for the bigger screen and more potential resolution going from LCD to OLED. Judging by preorder sales Nintendo is not worried about our forums.
Glad the Steam one came out as competition tends to push innovation. Personally, I have no interest in owning the Steam Deck as happy with my Switch and its exclusives, and any Steam titles will play on my portable gaming laptop.
Rather than do online button pushing, I went into my local GameStop and placed my order for me and SO for a White model with no drama at all. Took about 5 minutes. While there another person did the same. They had their master list out and total my GameStop had round 20 they could sale in store yesterday. All my friends that went into GameStop yesterday had success that took about as long as it takes to fill up a car's tank of gas.
While a nice wholesome ad for a game that is essentially one player less you visit someone, I could care less about watching this ad as I played over 500 hours of this game. I am sure there is a target audience for an ad of a game over a year old. Looking forward to what E3 has in store.
I am interested to see what the hint was that Nintendo and Xbox have coming this Fall/Winter. That said, part of me wishes they would put game pass on Switch just so I could stop hearing about it or reading about it on every dam site I go to.
I think ACNH will be in the top for a while for sales, but hours played this year will start to really drop off. I know plenty of players of the game that have said this past event that they could care less as they did it last year, and at this point they play 15-30 minutes every 3 days or so and that is it. So sales yes, actual hours played this week would be more interesting to me.
For me I rotate between Hunting Horn as love the rotation and brute force weapon, and dual blades as the speed is fun as well as its skin application reminding me of a rage meter.
It seems like you come to the end of this game and then to maintain gameplay fever of more than once a week you either TT, island wipe, or buy switch #2 for a second island (based upon observations of hardcore AC players I know).
Update released and I don't notice much of anything. Guess that means that to see a noted change I will need the Switch Pro I read about on this site... I also wonder if Apex on Switch will be like Cyberpunk on PS, give it 4 months or so and no one will be talking about it to the levels they are now as 1/2 the player base will move on.
I think Apex Legends will be the hot ticket on Switch for now as players want a more recent shooter. The graphics are a bummer as it makes it hard, unlike in Fortnite, to see your target early less your have Blood Hound in the group. The latter can be an outcome of needing more map variation. It will be interesting to see when Overwatch 2 comes out if everyone looks at Apex and says "well, that was real and fun, but was not real fun, good bye eye strain, hello clean line of sight."
Having not owned a WiiU I can see what they are doing in the interest of making money by porting all the WiiU titles to the gravy train of the Switch to now make the money they intended to make. That said, I enjoy risk, XB Chronicles was a wonderful new IP. Glad to see they are doing Splatoon 3, let's hope it is not Splatoon 2 with 4-5 new boards and enjoy your new game. MK 9- let us customize our points on our car, and not make it 80% drift dependent, and 20% drafting/trading paint.
Agree with other opinions in that Apex is here in the form I thought it would be within limits of bare minimum specs for a bare minimum system that was made it seems at times with the mindset of playing just 1st party games.
I had the pleasure of conversing with him on Twitch often by being a follower, and he truly made you feel welcomed on his stream. Without meeting him in person you could tell his personality was only shadowed by his heart! AC lost not a Guru, but a Legend. He brought so much joy into people's lives that he will never know; his light will continue to shine for countless!
Working in the medical filed for over 20 years I have no idea how COVID has direct impact on ss marriage, but the virus skips hetero based marriage in its s/s. Must be a new strain of COVID...
Seeing how I work as a Home Health Physical Therapist, means if more companies do this it is a boom in my business eventually as home health becomes more of an option for recovery from medical events while not having loss of work at the same time as would of been a traditional case.
I wish Nintendo on the ball drop 2021 at 12:01 AM drop a commercial tease of the Switch pro; this in my own little world would be the perfect middle finger to COVID's branding on 2020. Plus, just like blockbuster movie timing, allow ushering in Nintendo's turn at bat after the 'next generation console' holidays (since restock is happening Black Friday).
I never did any time travel as I always wanted to play at the pace Nintendo intended, and enjoyed the game for the 'game.' I knew this was going to happen though, and in my opinion it should. Some things you just need to wait and enjoy as it comes time...stop fancying yourself Dr. Strange.
That is disturbing if they are using such an innocent game to post QR codes that take you to a site such as Onlyfans.com. Sometimes there needs to be some 'class'....even to that business.
This from the same people that said straight out that we would not get the second Ori on Switch, and then fast forward quickly in time...so reading between the lines; once they get their money off said game, then go to Switch.
@nessisonett
Seems your post has been a neon sign; alas, I do agree with you in so much as that having my gaming PC so pass on Xbox console, and PS5 I too will press pause.
I have played the demo and by no means get into frame rate reading. I never noticed any drops in gameplay experience or visuals irregardless of how many bad dudes were coming at me. My review in one statement: if you love BOTW then you owe it to yourself to play this game as it is the missing puzzle piece.
I figured this would be their function. That said I am not disappointed nor surprised. I still enjoy new releases of any amiibo, and have grown to see them as a collector item that happens to give me some in-game perks versus an "toy to Life" that gives me an uber cool collector item that is a 'game changer.' I have been a fanboy since the 80's and will continue to enjoy this line of collectables; albeit I get the ones I personally want and/or mean something to me.
I will say, not for nothing, but it is curious how it does seem a lot of people treat this site, based upon their comments, as their only source as a review source when making their final decision.
Sound good to me, more 3rd party getting on board means more variety and less coming to PS and Xbox now....and Switch in 1-2 years. Hopefully, all this "next March" talk is right...
