As a kid of the 80's the circle is now complete; Crash on Nintendo-in the end "mustache man" won ^^ Just wish the game would have props and give me the "SEGA!!!!" intro when booted up.

Was not there for launch day (was busy helping Aloy), but will say growing up on NES in the 80's the BOTW posters in Target keep me thinking and thinking...8 months after that I am 1 of 60 million, a year after, yet to turn on my PS 4 Pro, the Force is strong with this "one"!!!

The Switch literally made me switch from PS4 Pro to it...and never looked back.

I could of told them it would do well. So many adults play Switch and video games in current times. The whole label of "nerds" and "dorks" are the only adults that play video games has long died out. Any adult walking around holding onto the thought that only "nerds/dorks" play games I find that adult has a hobby of one of three things: sitting and getting drunk all evening, driving around to see when they are going to get with others to do #1, or a combo of #1 and #2.

As prior said; another video game movie adaptation that is a relative 8 times removed from the parent material. For future guidance on how to adapt a game to movie and get it right consult Duncan Jones.

Looks so much better than the first; the first one I bought and wanted my money back after 2 hours cause it felt like where it came from: a phone. The graphics on this one present more widescreen vs. the first one's cell phone screen dimension feeling.

I can see Switch coming out on top. It appeals to more of the mass audience. It can grab the attention of both avid/active gamers, and 'grandma' looking to make her grandkid excited for Christmas at its price point. Outside of hardcore gaming when you have to talk 'payment plan' for you next system it tends to be a wallet alert during COVID times.

At first was dismissive of this game, but after reading user comments and watching gameplay, my interest has blossomed. Thinking of my son, is the game above a 7 year old's level; one that loves Minecraft and Dino's?

Never got to play on PS, so looking forward to getting into on my Switch. Glad to see this one coming if just to scratch my WoW itch alone in a portable mode while at a coffee shop. (continue to sit fingers crossed of new Switch model 2021)

Sounds great to me, would love to see what the little fart could do! Maybe in an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE we would get a certain red head from Playstation to come over; that would rock the Net!!!!

I have been telling my friends for 2 years now its high time Nintendo shelves their habits of feeling like they need to start over as if stuck in a time loop of success<>failure. They have their console that is the merge of handheld and TV console that has made a strong install base. Now fine-tune their console!

If in question that sticking with current console and fine tuning will not work as a business model; observe and take notes of recent Xbox and PS5 preorder consumer purchase activity!

Has/had potential, but fear that based upon director that it will be equal parts movies I have already seen blended and served as an action smoothie for me to drink and still feel like I need to think of what I need to eat for dinner later.

I like it; Nintendo exercising how to make an app more of an app that is usable vs. the official Nintendo app.

I too am glad Nintendo won this one; if I were in their shoes and selling my IP's and some jerk out there was pirating my stuff for their financial gain then I too would have reservations with this.

I would see let culture have a Life onto itself and if an item takes on a 'movement' and becomes a craze then make it a craft item. Art can sometimes become its own culture; good heavens I know this as I live in the town that is home to the guy that made the Andre "Obey" Art you now see in ever major city as a sticker randomly stuck here and there.

Never played this game till the Switch. The first one that is; yet to touch the second one. The 1st one- the game play requires either a glass of wine or a good beer as so reliant on game mechanics that you yearn for the moments of just plain shoot and run while not standing in fire/purple/green stuff. Both seemed loved, but I find the game too reliant on mechanics to point at times predictably sets in that when you do have a boss fight that is just a fight it reminds you there is a story here.

I thnk since this game is based in a toy world Nintendo could of channeled the hype by putting a blurb about a "new ip tomorrow that your kids just may love for the Holidays!" And there would of been less piss and vinegar online. It looks to be a solid, fun game, but call a spade a spade for its target audience. Seemed they have taken a cue from what happened with the quick drops with sudden release dates.

@link3710 Just got back from Gamestop physically doing preorders here, and I live in the South.

Just got back from night out and did preorders in person on all three at my local Gamestop in the U.S. The special/elite/ultimate? edition of the game preorder has already sold out per Gamestop.

Helpful post, some of the text was requiring me to hold the Switch up to my nose to read it...even more of an argument for why do I need what seems like these 2 inch black bars for frames around my screen.........

Well timed preview as I was actually thinking about this game just last night, and was curious as to where it was in development since I read about it last.

Wow! Microsoft just added a nice hall onto their building in the game department; don't F*** it up!

I wish I could call Nintendo and say do it already and go 4K either with a dock doing it or handheld and slap an over $400 price tag on it (the tech is there, use it); THEY WILL BUY IT! Just look at what just happened to the PS5 manhunt that occurred! In your recent meeting you even hinted at R&D looking into tech going past prior comfortable price points...the meeting where ALL podcast were saying someone was going to announce retirement probably and that was all to the meeting most likely.

Irregardless of Link sees the light of day I am stoked to have a Drake movie coming and know a cool actor has signed on to play him that can pull of Drake's personality. I just hope it does not dissolve into a Jones film using guns instead of whips. Maybe it will do a tongue in cheek moment and have a cameo of Josh Gates sitting at a bar and Drake sits next to him to order a beer and the two say hello for a brief moment on screen!

As far as I am concerned 'pay to play' to the moders out there.

I feel that approach has landed them at the doorstep of lightening in a bottle, and they need to modify and improve now rather than trying to reinvent themselves all over again. Based upon sales globally (about to include Brazil) they have got the "brand" unit that can improve with just using mark number (ex. PS 1,2,3,4, Pro, 5 of Xbox Series #).

I am a Star Wars fan so take the good with the bad, give me EA so I can have more Star Wars.....
