I find this worth a good (and in a cool way) laugh! I am not on Facebook so have no skin in the game. However, I do play AC, and it is funny this is a problem...yet no one mentions that DAL airlines takes you to a mystery island and the pilot comments that they have to always burn the maps/routes written down with little to no explanation why. I wonder if DAL always goes 'low and slow' in its to stay off radar.....change the plane to an A500.
Fun, love how they keep things seasonal and engaging despite not being a mmog. I still have to say out loud that I want a May the 4th day where for one day only everyone, including you, on the island gets a lightsaber! Think of the fun!!
Wow, flashback for me too! Takes me back the SNES Top Gun game where you had to land on the aircraft carrier to continue the game, and a pinch of old skool mall arcade with the jet fighter arcade game that the seat would gyroscope with your stick moves.
@Wazeddie22 I did hear on a podcast that the method is to first try to board his boat without him there, says a programed comment, and then go talk to him to open up a new dialogue string.
Uber cool! Makes me feel like I am buying paintings that are akin to those in Harry Potter series; although you are not a Witcher Nintendo...#throwncoin!
No doubt they will be increased, people are still looking for them in certain areas due to run on the shelves and AC has been a Gravy Train. Based on history I could see Nintendo's next gen Switch being 1080p since nearly every house owns a TV with at least 1080p...and cable companies that have 98% of their channel line-up pushing 1080p/i at best unlike streaming services that offer 4k when available.
Awesome! I love to see when resources like the one listed, loosen their tie. It would be nice to know, although we will never know, who their happens to be a gamer and hence the article.
Personally, glad data miners do reveal things because Nintendo has a habit of wanting to classify every bit of info on every game worse than an X-file until they are ready to show things in their "Directs." It gets a bit patronizing after a while (disclaimer: in my opinion).
So Nintendo has to apologize if they include art as it was sculptured irl, but Rockstar is given a free pass for making a game where you shag a prostitute to gain health or PS can make a game of a guy who hates all Gods so there is cut scenes with useless graphic ripping of heads off to get the message that your opponent is dead in case you were unsure...
Nintendo, constructive feedback in math: more units sold= more money=more players=bigger servers needed...call 1-800-Blizzard and attend a seminar in Servers, and how about REAL app. Love you guys but you are so "dyed-in-the-wool!"
Unfortunate for those of us that put in the hours to plant/uproot to facilitate a desired critter as work should equal bells. However, as usual, I am sure those out there will some how work their way around it via ebay or some other social media website for real money and/or bells that I will later read as a headline on this website. For a game that supposedly gets branded "for kids" it sure is becoming an adult cheat-your-way market...
Never time traveled. I don't hold anything against someone who does...that's your game. I prefer to play the game as intended by developers. What I find curious is that developers did not stomp out time travel from fear of cheating, but had such gusto to allow only one island per switch unit to prevent cheating........
And there it is again, a perfect example of a Keyboard Warrior that is the byproduct of Social Media as a real Culture. I am 100% confident that if the two of us sat down there would be a game he enjoys that I would find simple and rather mind-numbing.
Love the code potential for diving as a "spear fishers" to collect things. Hopefully in tune with that will be an update to allow POV to pan left<>right more in pitch to screen shot the sunsets over the water.
Awesome!! Keep it coming!! If Nintendo reads these post then look>>>>> nearly all cable outlets broadcast 1080p and it is more than crisp, apple Iphone as small as it is can do at least 1080p recording, the ability to fit such power into such a small box is doable...give us at least 1080p to keep these ports coming.
Since we are all throwing out ideas into the campfire...maybe it will be for a new dock that will upscale the game like the PS4 to a 4k level of viewing on your TV? At current the dock is only a "middle man" for the HDMI cable to the TV with simultaneous charging.
Awesome idea on a meter...seems fair and balanced as far as gameplay- the tool still breaks, you still have to make a new one, just allows for time so you are not in your timed rock striking (8 seconds?) to come up short of what could of been had.
My 6 year old got me playing this game. It is uber fun. I swear Nintendo has a degree in making IP's and branding icons. They know what they are doing, and a matter of time before Splatoon 3 comes.
I have the cards, bought them at first announce of the game, and got them for like $5/pack. That said, I must state that it is not a guarantee. There have been times when I scan the given amiibo card and the game simply tells me that the villager can't come right now or is busy...something to that effect. I have scanned the official KK card 5 separate times and all 5 have failed.
I kind of feel like Nintendo keeps inventing ways to recycle the amiibo uses; which is cool considering the ridiculous price of the upcoming Lego sets. That said....
Dear Nintendo, Please make a DLC code where if you have the AC figure amiibo you can, like Smash, save your island in this case to it; that way the whole one island to an account is lifted and you are not as a player cheating.
It is because of loot boxes that I said screw it to Star Wars BF 2. I get it is for those that don't have the time, but have the money to "level" to make up for it. Glad it will be more transparent up front...developer changes it afterwards, then they are exposed for putting profit over players...which a lot of "suits" do now and days.
I never played on any DS model they made, but knowing the environment the Switch is now; adding a second “clamshell” type screen makes me feel Nintendo is going backward instead of forward. The Switch would become the DS circa 2020. I truly hope this data mining proves to be something of a more progressive development. I don’t want the Switch to become nicknamed the “Port System.” Retro games is cool and all, but for my money I want to feel I am buying more contemporary games and a new system. I could care less for 4K. I would like 1080p as the PS slim looks good, and majority of broadcast cable I watch nightly is not 4K and I still think they both look crisp.
Never have played it, but hearing soooooooo many people talk about it while simply walking around in public, heck even seen two grade school kids get off the bus and yell "see you later tonight on fortnite after homework"...I appears it is like WoW, it has its faithful and it has its dilettante players.
Even more awesome if it is true, cause she was one of the first on my island and it will make my heart smile more when I see her at night singing happily on the brick courtyard...and stop to listen saying in my head that “this one is for you grandma”
To quote Robert Carlyle: “Hunger is a great heel spur for motivation to work”. I love my switch, but it seems to motivate Nintendo to give us a pro Switch (even if 1080p HDR), it needs to see some loss to competitors, be it hardware or software side. We all know how the hardware is selling....
Personally I always enjoy seeing who out of Hollywood and/or Pop Culture Icons are video gamers. I always find it funny when I met adults who say that they don’t play video games now that they are older, and just as soon go back to their: candy crush, angry birds, pvz, or Facebook FarmVille on their phone. Lastly, don’t follow this Brit, but do follow and would love to met our fellow poster child for Witcher.
Oh, and ability to make a small fishing boat to use at the end of the board based pier (not the airport one) WHILE actually being to look 360 to appreciate the view...why not being able to look out over the ocean must of spawned from a developer that has never been vaca to a beach.
I was wondering what gives, now if we can mix it up and not have to restart my conversation with the Nook boys for every single item I want to sell...be more like talking to Blathers, let me cue the end of a chain of different items.
About time since many just bought one or the other to save money, but still enjoy and support the new take of the franchise. I must say for all the hate machine that the Net gave this game pre-launch, the Wild is something I hope is cannon for forthcoming games...nice to be able to have a sense of 3D movement to open up the world.
Way cool, I love it when unplanned cross communication is welcomed by both developers. It would be amazing if they gave each other a wink in future updates to the game by having a cameo...for example a shop vendor in each game of the poster face for each respective game.
I agree with prior post, it’s becoming a FUNKO store that sells games on the side. By the way these used games have a mark up that, sometimes, for $2 more you can get it new at Target. I miss the EB where it felt fair priced and desktop collectibles was not 75% of the store.
Thanks, as a kid of the 80’s this is interesting history that refers directly to my childhood questions. Except he forgot to state why we had to all blow into the cartridge. Chucked at his last line: we are apparently fascinated with guns.
This article is a joke, reflect on console numbers sold. Stadia so far seems to be a fad like curved TV’s or 3D TV’s and their 3D Blu-ray’s. And podcast like Stadiacast seem to fan the “hip” nature of the concept. At least this Financial Times Article written by a non-gamer will make a great barrier for my cat’s litter box.
I owned a SNES and Gameboy. I did not spend all my time on my Gameboy as it was not a merge unit with my SNES as the Switch is, so bad analogy to reference. I sold my PS4 for a Switch and as most the portable nature of an arcade combined with not having to monopolize the TV is way too hard to walk away from.

To my understanding, yes, like all special animal vendors that show up on your island; established days and hours. Ah, read this off site:
open the map on your NookPhone and see if the Jolly Trawler is docked there. Seems to read to be a day at random over 2 weeks from source.
