Re: Nicalis Teases VVVVVV and More for the Switch

ieatdragonz

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Nicalis had a good amount of new games coming like Redout (EDIT: Forget redout came out already so Blade Strangers is a better example) and Ittle Dew 2. Way I see it these ports are fine as long as the new games arent getting pushed back because of them.

Re: Review: Boost Beast (Switch eShop)

ieatdragonz

Ive played this one a bit and dont think its bad, but the fact that theres a couple better puzzle games (Puyo Puyo Tetris, World of Goo), and even a better match three one (Ironcast) its a hard sell. Still would recommend it if you want a puzzle game but dont like the rougeness of Ironcast or the high price of Puyo Puyo.

Re: Video: Get a Good Look at Infinite, the New Villain in Sonic Forces

ieatdragonz

I'll post what I said in the Sonic Forces thread

"Better than another game solely revolved around Eggman, although hes probably the one who brought Infinite to them. Judging by the first scene and the technological vibe I'm getting from him I have a good feeling he's from the future and following Generations Eggman, either in the void or after escaping, encountered him. Just a guess though."

Re: Bandai Namco Confirms July Release for Namco Museum on Nintendo Switch

ieatdragonz

@Xyphon22 I remember once my friend asked me if I could identify the arcade game he played as a child as it had been a long time and he forgot. All he remembered was that is was a top down game about killing monsters, took me a while to get it from that description haha.

When I told it to him he seemed so happy. For the next hour we talked about how good the game was. I have bought it for (almost) every platform available

Re: Editorial: Nintendo Switch is About Colour, Fun and Sharing Games, For Those Unsure of Its Purpose

ieatdragonz

Yep, Nintendo Switch is a highlight of what fun means. It not a multimedia device, its a games console. Sure it can't play a Blu-ray or even a DVD but it's alright. Fun is something to be brought back to the living room. The Switch accomplishes this but goes even further. It makes fun return to pals homes, your bedroom, public transportation, and even your bathroom.

Is it a port machine? For right now yes it is. But it is the best damn port machine I have ever rested my eyes upon. Can't wait till more games come out. It is then when I can recommend it for every and any one. But for now I shall enjoy myself. Thank you Switch.

Re: Nintendo's Share Value Reaches New Heights in Positive Reaction to E3

ieatdragonz

I'm not sure if this article is very insightful, after all Nintendo was already consistently increasing in share value. Technically you could make an article like this every hour "Reggie's Sneeze Bring New Peaks In Nintendos Stocks."

I actually asked my father how did he think about the stock rise (as he's a stock broker) and said all his coworkers bought stock. It wasn't because of E3 however but because of the increasing commercial space in America at least. In Japan the stock value probably did rise from E3 but not from Metroid for sure.

Re: Nintendo Download: 8th June (North America)

I already bought Shantae for Wii U and really dont want to buy it again especially if im not getting the DLC free for EITHER unlike the donators. I want to double dip but I just can't especially not in the state of income I am in :/

Re: Poll: Did the ARMS Global Testpunch Land a Knockout Blow?

ieatdragonz

@Moon Good that you tried it out, but trust me when I say you wont be outmatched by motion controls.

Of about 6 testpunches I had went back and forth with button and motion. By the end my last button session I had 109 credits and for motion I had 103.

Even online I saw some reddit posts that proved the advantage of moving for button through tests. While I havent seen any proving advantage for motion (although turning individual punches is probably the most blatant).

Re: Poll: Did the ARMS Global Testpunch Land a Knockout Blow?

ieatdragonz

@Moon Button controls worked great for me, most people either went into the motion control camp or the button controls. I can say button is a very responsive scheme.

Advantage wise button is better for movement as you can stop on a dime but is worse at turning your punches compared to motion controls.

Re: Preview: Trading Blows With ARMS on Nintendo Switch

ieatdragonz

@Nintendoforlife Yeah but I meant in long term. Nintendo has abandoned it's ds wifi service and while it's understandable the effects made certain games (like metroid prime hunters) dead and irretrievable. Microsoft did the same thing with halo 1 and 2 on the original xbox but at least over there it was easier to get around.

Nintendo could succeed in online services but I can also see a timeline where everything goes wrong.

Re: Here's A Closer Look At The Monster Hunter XX Switch Bundle You Can't Own

ieatdragonz

That design on the back <3 beautiful. I'm not a fan of monster hunter solely because I prefer console experiences and have no friends who have the game. At home I like the idea of solo grinding and going to a friends house to work together over the harder challenges.

Not to say the game is bad (it really isn't according to my multiple hundred hours on ultimate) its just the handheld held it back in my opinion. Will try and return to the series with this new game and I hope it gets me into the series finally.

Re: Preview: Trading Blows With ARMS on Nintendo Switch

ieatdragonz

@BensonUii So far what I've played is exactly what you said about Splatoon, it adds fun new twists. Sure the actual battling is fairly standard on buttons but it feels so different in motion.

The idea of combination of Arms allows the game to have more depth and multiple game modes keep the pace going. This is similar to splatoon while the other gamemodes are fun in ranked while the enjoyability of Turf war cant be beaten.

In general I still think its too early to say, but as a person who believed in this game since the very beginning I see something grand to add to the switch's library.

Re: Preview: Trading Blows With ARMS on Nintendo Switch

ieatdragonz

All good stuff, hope everyone at Nintendolife is enjoying their copy (I say with a little bit of jealousy)!

The characters are designed so well, the gameplay is fun, theres a ranked mode, and has free dlc. Its honestly such a good combination and will hopefully continue being regarded as a game that blew expectations.

Re: Random: Solving the Joy-Con D-Pad Problem With a 3D Printer, Sort Of...

ieatdragonz

That blue d-pad looks really janky compared to the sleek black color. Why didn't they put it on a blue joy con?

I understand why people would do this but the scuff marks, the texture, and the shape just looks so awful. Nintendo has got to make a joy con with a dpad, or else 8bitdo controllers will become the new standard (I would say pro controller but I'm not rich).
