Re: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Sells 500,000 Copies Worldwide On Nintendo Switch

ieatdragonz

Something I skipped out over but did regret. Was gonna get it during Black Friday but it sold out much too quickly.

EDIT: Didn't they say if Xenoverse 2 sold well they would bring over Dragon Ball Fighterz?

"We want players to first go there," Hiroki said about bringing Xenoverse 2 to Switch, according to Destructoid. "And then we can talk about FighterZ."

@BravelyDavid To be fair we don't know the sales yet outside of Japan/UK. When Nintendo gives official numbers in their fiscal year in March we can see how successful it was in America. I've seen many people playing it over here so who knows.

It really is a fantastic game, immediately after I had trouble determining it as my favorite Metroid game. Super Metroid is so close but I think it might beat it. That's an achievement in of itself.

Re: My Nintendo in North America Adds New Sonic Rewards

@roy130390 Don't it starts off good and ends poor with some levels reaching up to 18 mins for me. Out of the 3DS games Ive played (which is all but Racing Transformed) Fire and Ice and Generations are the better of them. Fire and Ice is the best Boom game and is like Shattered Crystal but much better. Generations while nowhere near the level of the console counterpart was worth my 20 bucks. Both are 2d games (even modern stages) but they work well and are good fun. If you dont like the 2d stick with Lost World but Im warning ya it gets REALLY grueling.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Super Mario Game?

ieatdragonz

@Rextephan I think some cappy power ups beat traditional power-ups in a 3d space. The Caterpillar, Jet Octopuss, and Potted Plant are great and beat the fire flower and cherry (in 3d). I definitely miss the Cat Power up, Tanooki in 3D World and the Cloud power up from galaxy those three worked really well.

I can see why you would miss them though, I think they shouldnt have removed them all together. To each their own.

Re: Place Your Bets and Check Out the Casino Forest 'Classic' Stage in Sonic Forces

ieatdragonz

Looks like good level design for a casino stage, enough branching paths and hidden nooks. The music is a little grading at times though. The composer is trying to hearken back to synth but as Sonic 4 has taught us that type of music really doesn't work in a modern sense. Sounds better than that game but when comparing it to the modern sections music, Green Hill Classic and Casino Forest songs are the weakest of the bunch.

EDIT: Thankfully the physics look better than Generations classic levels (minus when he got stuck on the plunger ledge), but I wish they would show off the spin dash. If they messed it up again that would just be the piss. I heard he had drop dash in this game also, so as long as they make the levels fun and fix the spindash Classic levels look a-ok. Wish Tee was composing the classic music though.

Re: XSEED Games Reveals What Will Come Included with Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition

@Tarvaax You have to remember that when this game originally released the Switch wasnt even announced. If I knew it was coming maybe I wouldve waited. The physical box also didnt mention it wouldnt come with dlc. I had to look it up after and then realized my mistake. I played it beat it and was contempt with my mistake.

Then the Switch was announced. Just because I bought it on Wii U shouldnt mean I should feel stupid because then buying Mario Kart, or even considering buying Zelda on Wii U before the switch was announced wouldve been a bad idea. But I didnt know. Except I dont actually feel burned about those two.

Still a good game cant stress it enough but my experience has been a drag through the mud.

Re: XSEED Games Reveals What Will Come Included with Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition

Not gonnna lie I REALLY dislike how they are handling this game as a kickstarter. I bought the physical retail release for Wii U got a soundtrack and thats it for a good amount more. Then digitally it comes out for Switch and then weeks later it comes out with the dlc. THEN another physical release comes out now including future dlc like the kickstarter supporters got from the very begining.

Shovel Knight being ported is fine and a price increase makes sense because the dlc is out and proven (except king knight). The dlc are free to me it makes me happy to have purchased it back then and incentivises me to rebuy it on Switch. Shantae I have regret. Such a shame because I liked the game but now I dont want dlcs and dont wont to buy games from wayforward anymore. Yes im pissy but come on I feel very burned by all these odd decisions.

Re: Review: SteamWorld Dig 2 (Switch eShop)

ieatdragonz

@imageform While playing the original Dig I was a little annoyed that materials could be crushed by rocks, especially since there is a limited amount. Is that feature still in Dig 2? If it is then around what precentage of items can you let get destroyed before you lose the ability to buy every upgrade? A general percent would be nice but probably hard to figure :^P

Re: Review: SteamWorld Dig 2 (Switch eShop)

ieatdragonz

I love everything about these games, so you could imagine my excitement. Don't let the 20 dollar price tag discourage you from the game I got Steamworld Heist with dig on Wii U and it was my best indie purchase I think for a long time. That was 20 bucks.

Re: Editorial: A Week of Gaming the Nintendo Switch Way

ieatdragonz

The week of Switch, for me. Playing Mario + Rabbids in bed bathroom friends house and couch throughout the whole day. Notice how couch was last. I may have been on it more but the experience off it was much more enjoyable.

Legitimately I am happy to be a gamer. Right now I am gushing to my friends about the new Metroid game while finishing up Rabbids. The Switch does have its problems and I cant recommend it to everyone yet. That doesn't matter, its changing my life one genius game at a time

Re: Virtuos Emerges as the Developer Working on the L.A. Noire Port

ieatdragonz

Jeez guys I get that Taketwo is doing some weird stuff with 2k18 but this comment section is pretty unrelated to the actual article

L.A Noire on switch should run fine, I would be a little dissappointed if no textures whatsoever were touched up but Virtous is at least trying to make unique selling points. Will purchase if it isn't a mess.

Re: Video: '90s Interview With Miyamoto Reveals What He Thinks Makes His Games So Special

ieatdragonz

@Muddy_4_Ever I actually agree! When it was revealed for the first time I was intrigued and believed this was a good way to introduce the franchise to the new generation. I remember people argueing that it shouldnt be called pikmin and should be a new ip like people wanted with federation force. Calling it Pikmin made it have more selling power but irritated fans. But in the other case it would likely be even more buried under 3ds and switch releases. It was a lose-lose situation.

The sales still werent as good as I hoped but I admire the attempt. Still havent gotten it because of other games but by the end of the year I will. Hope its fun
