@MrGawain You took the words right out of my mouth. The game was clearly influenced by old-school Nintendo games and has attracted buyers who love old-school Nintendo games. But on a side note, the only reason it's sold well is cos it's a great game in its own right. So many indies think they can milk the nostalgia cow, without bringing any flair or polish to the table

If Nintendo don't release a portable system next time round, i will quit gaming. Lifting my head to look at TV screens or monitors is too much effort for me these days

That NES ninja turtles game was awesome. I wish developers took as many gameplay risks these days as they did back then. It feels like all of these businessmen are taking all of our fun away

@rjejr Haha, you caved in! I've got a big cardboard box in my living room which is half-filled with alcohol bottlecaps that i have saved up for 5 years. Maybe that's why the last woman left, but no regrets! I'm gonna fill that box to the top one day and no woman can ever get in the way of that!

I couldn't care less whether nintendo is popular. I live my own life with my own tastes, my own personality and my own beliefs. Growing up, i don't even remember thinking about who was winning a console war- i just liked playing games. Just cos destiny sold 6.5 million copies in a week it's not gonna sway my opinion that G1-Jockey on PS2 is a much more fulfilling game

@Dpishere Don't despair it's completely random what standard of players you get playing your course. I uploaded the exact same course, one was normal original mario and the other underground original mario. The original has a 14% completion rate and much fewer players while the underground version has a 30% completion rate, more players and even got a star.

@rjejr You hold onto those physical copies of Playboy they'll be worth a mint in the future. Vinyl records sound better, vintage games play better and soon women in magazines will look better!

Turn based aint the end of the world. I thought i was done with em until i played Fire Emblem: Awakening. It's probably the best game i've played in 5 years

@REALLYFEELINIT Wow! the next ones even longer than that? I got the trilogy pack and am really enjoying it but i feel like i always need a real solid session to sink my teeth into the cases. I would've got Dual Destinies but i saw a lot of user reviews say you can't really play it as a standalone game- i'm guessing that must be because of the recurring characters ya need to know

Just finished the case on the first one where Edgeworth is accused of shooting the man in the boat. I reckon i spent about 7 or 8 hours on it. Is that case abnormally long or am i a terrible sleuth/lawyer?

Geez, 'mediocre' must be the word of the month at nintendo life. Senran kagura is a 'mediocre button masher', Brave Tank Hero is described in the review conclusion as being - 'mediocrity' and now Wario's the 'master of mediocrity'. Surely theres a few similar words nlife could use to spice things up a bit. Also if they're all mediocre games why does SK get a 6 and the other two games get 4?

Haha. This comment section is hilarious. Everyone getting so riled up about pixel boobs. If a movie like Black Swan or Mulholland Drive throws in a nude lesbian scene that's counted as 'high-art', but anyone who plays these games are supposedly perverts. They look like a bit of harmless fun to me

That intro music from secret of mana is incredible and every time i would listen to it for a couple of minutes before resuming my game. I'm an amateur muso who plays the odd gig here and there but have never taken a direct influence from video games. Maybe i'm living in the past but my 3 fave game soundtracks are: Super Metroid, Zelda 3 and Secret of Mana. To single out one song it's the Zelda overworld theme- i could listen to it forever

Gaming is predominantly a relaxing experience for me so i love to lie down on a couch or in bed and not have to keep my head up and focused on a tv. I know it sounds lazy but i don't know if i can go back after chilling out with ds/3ds/gamepad comfort over the last 5 years.

@shani Sorry for the really late reply, but i'm an aussie and december is the height of summer here and social stuff. Still, its miles away and i can't wait! Happy gaming!

@manu0 Yeah you're right i should play it. At the time of its release i wasn't playing games much and i've heard it cop a lot of flak since. But the general consensus need not apply to everyone- zelda 2 is one of my favourite games

Like Manu0 and others have said, imagine a ridiculous 2d Metroid made by Retro. I've gotta admit the slew of indie metroidvanias that have flooded the scene in recent times makes me want to vomit, but a real deal metroid is what could cure our jaded hearts

It's barren cos I think every single staff resource of nintendo has been thrown into the nx. There is nothing on the horizon for new 3ds and future wii u games are finished already. I skipped skyward sword so i'm gagging for the next 'big' zelda- if it sux i might rage quit from gaming and start reading books again

it definitely seemed like an 8ish score from the text but i agree 100 percent with the reviewer on game breaking bugs. I was really enjoying Zombi u but somehow got into a room without using a key and couldnt get out cos the door was locked- i wouldve had to start the whole game again cos i'd saved in there. My Zombi u score: 5 down from potential 7 or 8

The wait for this is unbearable. And then it has to be released in December when everyone is busy doing other stuff. It shoulda been released in a boring month- like July 15

It was a great game, but definitely no match for Mana. I had a multi-tap and 3 player co-op was some of my favourite gaming memories

The only thing that's cracked me up more than these games is Madmen Football's trailer with it's N64 style graphics!

All the whingers here are consolidating Nintendo's original stance on games- 'if you can't please everyone, ya gotta please yourself'. When f-zero gets announced no matter what nintendo does it'll be a fan storm. Personally i hope it'll be one of those drag-racing games for mobile- they're sick!

I'm only pissed about xenoblade x releasing so late in the year. My admittedly humble gaming needs have easily been met by nintendo thru the past few years. I'm not an empty shell because of nintendos e3. If i had 5 years off from gaming i'd be fine

People are pathetic. I'll be forever grateful that i even got to play super metroid full stop. Metroid prime was a bonus. The Beatles stopped after 7 years, if it was the videogame world Paul and Ringo would be bringing out yearly beatles records to this day- thank god they had some sense to quit!

I think it's quite clear that all of the topline nintendo factions have dived headfirst into NX games development, thats why they havent shown much this year. They shoulda retired starfox after the 64, that game was perfect

@Yorumi The original splat jr is better than the aerospray imo if you can get the system of firing and swimming quickly down pat. I score roughly 100-200 more with it a game but maybe everyone has different styles

I think the biggest game-changer of modern games was Mario 64, moreso than WOW. It's taken for granted now but that set the standard baseline for the future of 3rd person 3D adventure games
