Been collecting myself. Questioned whether I should or not, being a 34 year old guy, but thought what the heck!? π€· I now just need 7 stickers to fill the book π
I'm just disappointed that New PokΓ¨mon Snap never got a VR update to use the Labo camera. Such a missed opportunity π€·
Overall, I really enjoyed Labo. I have the Variety Set and the VR set and thoroughly had fun building them. I now have an almost 5 year old of my own and am tempted to track one of the other sets down and build it with him
The fact that this airs the day before MAR10 Day tells me that there might actually be something to those Mario Movie Switch bundle rumours after all!?! I guess we'll find out! π€·ββοΈ
This was my biggest surprise of last year. I've wanted to play the Summer Vacation games for years. When Attack of the Friday Monsters released, I thought there might be a higher chance of them getting localised, but no. Nothing. Then all of a sudden, Shin Chan got a release outside of Japan and what a pleasant surprise it was. It's just so chill. If ever you fancy a break from your usual loud, crazy, in your face games, I seriously recommend trying this one. Its such a lovely game
Winky the Frog never gets the love he deserves. He was my favourite after Enguarde.
Also, I know Retro are busy right now with Prime 4, but one day, I would love for them to conclude their trilogy of DK games and give us a third entry. Possibly even get a returning K Rool thrown in there too
As a 34 year old who wants these as a Nintendo and Mario collector, I'd not get much out of the actual plastic toys, though I'd have loved them as a kid. The cardboard ones are much more sturdy than the usual cardboard stuff and they look great for display purposes. Arguably, I'd say the plastic toys are more for younger kids and the cardboard ones are more for grown up Mario fan, even if both are actually aimed at kids
I went for the Xbox version after wondering whether the Switch version would be a good version to go for or not. It looked really nice on the more powerful systems that I didn't feel confident that the Switch could handle it. I've now finished the game and unlocked every achievement. I might check it out just to see how it runs on Switch, but it seems pointless to double dip
I binged it all yesterday with my son. I had an absolute blast with it. Silly enough for kids, whilst also keeping it mature enough for the older Sonic fan. There's also a few nice easter eggs to keep an eye out for too. If I had to pick a fault with it, I didn't like the abrupt ending. I just hope that means we won't have to wait too long for more episodes
Sky Skipper is one die hard Nintendo fans should pick up. It serves as a really interesting piece of history as the game was so poorly recieved that Nintendo turned all the machines into Popeye cabinets. There is now only one Sky Skipper machine left in the world which sits in the Nintendo of America headquarters. The fact that this game got a release at all on the Switch is really quite something. The game itself isn't gonna blow anybody away, but it's just a nice little curio that has some rather cool history behind it! ππ
Real shame to see Bayonetta drop out the top 10. Really deserves the sales. I can't say I'm surprised though. Niche series on a single platform, it was never going to sell massively well
Stunning piece of music. The soundtracks never fail to disappoint, regardless of the game itself. Whilst I admit, this is somewhat a different approach to Sonic music, it's one I welcome with open arms. I actually feel a bit more confident about my preorder on the games soundtrack on vinyl now
These two minds working together has the potential to put out one of the most out there, yet original games ever. Truly cannot wait to see what they come up with π
I'm not too surprised with Mario and Rabbids. Most things with Mario in the title make at least decent performances in the first week. Next week will be interesting though. I'm also intrigued to see how Bayonetta does when it releases. Niche title on a single platform. I hope it does well though
Bought it on 360 back in 2010, it very quickly became one of my favourite games of all time. Bought the remaster on Series X last year and enjoyed it once more. For the price, I couldn't say no to getting it again on Switch. That's just the fan in me I guess, but I will say that the downgrade in graphics far from make this unplayable
Seems a bit overly complex for a Sonic game. My 4 year old is Sonic mad at the moment and loves playing the games, in particular the 2D ones. Was considering trying him with for a bit of variation, but I think this will overwhelm him
It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't keep charging 50 quid each time. Twilight Princess and Wind Waker are now on 3 different consoles. Why don't they remake other Zelda titles? Link's Awakening proved just how fresh they could make an older game feel. Remake Minish Cap or the Oracle games. Those would be worth dropping the cash on.
Of course, that is just my opinion and everyone is entitled to one before I get abuse in the comments π
I have been very skeptical regarding Frontiers. The announcement trailer had me thinking it looked pretty, but it was one big empty open world. This trailer fills me some confidence, but I think if Sega released a demo, it would help make other peoples minds up. Saying that, my 4 year old is OBSESSED with Sonic at the moment, so I don't think I'll have a choice in picking this one up π€£
Bought this based on your video from the other week. I know a little about Shin Chan and watched the odd episode here and there as a kid, but I loved Attack of the Friday Monsters and I would love to play the My Summer Vacation games, if they were available in English. Glad I bought this though. It's just so chill and sometimes, it's great to have a game like this
Well yesterday I discovered that Fall Guys is currently doing a Fatal Fury collaboration, meaning I can have a jelly bean dressed as Terry Bogard or Mei Shiranui! That is way too cute and awesome to pass up on, so I'm gonna spend some time with that on Switch and of course, spend some more time with the Mario Kart 8 DLC. It's so great to have Waluigi Pinball back again. I also recently got a Japanese copy of Shinobi X/Legions, aka Shin Shinobi Den on the Sega Saturn, so I'm looking forward to some 2D hack and slash platformer action. ππ
I'm 3 episodes in and I'm enjoying it. As a Resi property, it's awful, but like the movies, if you can separate it from the games, there's a lot to like. Just go in open minded and you might just find something to enjoy.
Really want to play this as I'm a huge fan of the film, but the reviews have really put me off. I might get it when like most Limited Run published games usually do, when it hits down to a couple of quid
Sega really could have gone half assed with this if they really wanted to and it would have still sold a ton. I'm so happy that they didn't have that mindset when announcing it. This looks a perfect compilation for both old and new Sonic fans. I've already preordered it and with my 4 year old massively into Sonic right now, this looks like the perfect release for any 90s Sega kid who is now at the point of having children themselves
@Gavintendo Preorders open 31st March for digital dude! ππ
I'm itching for this so bad. I'll 100% be getting a physical copy of this, but I don't want to have to wait an extra month for that to arrive. Depending on the price of the digital, I may get both. Not something I'd usually do. We'll see π€·ββοΈ
This is 100% a day one for me. HotD is one of my all time favourite videogame series. The fact that we're getting a physical edition is the cherry on top. Would love it if we could get an AMS styled Zapper like the hand cannon on the Wii
