I got that email last night, but now it says "now arriving tomorrow by 11pm." Hopefully they ship it today or I'll just cancel and find a store with it tomorrow morning 🤷‍♂️

I preordered through Amazon. I could see them shipping early if it was through UPS but lately most of what I order gets delivered by an Amazon van directly from a warehouse like an hour away. It'll probably "ship" Thursday night but I'll have it by 10am Friday, which is great because I'm the very last neighborhood for other delivery routes.

I finally bought a pro controller for this and if my 7yo doesn't think it's cooler than any tablet game she's played there's gonna be a disownin' Itellyouwhat.

Kinda surprised Orlando International Airport isn't on the list. Seems like an ideal location to catch families with high disposable income.

My brother had a gamecube with the original (US) AC and I played a few times. The gameplay was mildly entertaining but the inclusion of NES games was the best part. Years later when I had a DS I bought AC:WW hoping the NES games would be there and was disappointed that they weren't but I was hooked on the gameplay, especially the music. I ended up buying New Leaf at launch and I'll be doing the same for New Horizons. It's just a relaxing series to play that's overflowing with charm.

The only crime I see here is the attempted revival of the phrase "NAILED IT". Everything else looked decent. Not oscar-worthy, but decent.

Apparently this has been on PS4 and Xbone for a while now and it's glitchy enough to walk the line between laughable and infuriating. Like, sometimes the game can't load fast enough while you're walking and you fall through nonexistent ground glitchy.

Step 1: Get a friend wearing this to look up.
Step 2: Pull their switch down as far as you can.
Step 3: Release the switch to make contact with their face.
Step 4: Lose a friend but gain a hilarious memory.

@Muddy_4_Ever Yeah I heard about that. But at least with more space we shouldn't miss out on any of the rides. The one in CA is supposed to be missing a few due to limited land.

I can't wait for this to open at Universal Orlando. I'm around an hour drive away.

There are many types of video games out there so comparing gaming addiction to just one act such as violence, gambling, or even alcoholism won't help much. Those with addiction seek to escape their reality in one way or another, so that is what must be addressed to fix it. The physical or psychological symptoms of withdrawal affect the detox, not the therapy.

The internet consensus clocks this game at around 13-15 hours. I'll wait for a sale.

I'm in Florida so I'll be playing Astral Chain until the power goes out, then hooking it up to my backup battery lol

The only part I'm not sold on is the "investigation" mode. I'll probably buy it regardless though.

They shouldn't expect to strike gold like that again. Pokemon found success in a very different time for gaming. The new games seem stale because they are stale by modern standards. The simplicity of Red/Blue could be blamed on the gameboy's hardware. Since then they've only added elements piece by piece that just seem like fluff. Even their mainstay franchise needs an overhaul.

@Tibob PcGameSupply only has U.S. and Canadian. PlayAsia has GBP and EUR but at that markup it practically defeats the purpose of buying on sale.

I mean...the only thing I hated about it was Sonic's look. If you make him the classic cartoony Sonic, you won't get anyone BUT gamers interested. The realistic look wasn't a bad idea, just poorly executed. Comparing Sonic to Pokemon is a bit of a stretch though since Pokemon's range of games and cuteness factor give it so many franchising opportunities. That trailer actually raised my expectations a little.

Ebay is now full of buyer and seller scammers alike. Haven't used it in close to a decade.

I've had my left joycon drift up a couple times since I bought it over a year ago. All I did was take a clean toothbrush and lightly scrub the ball while rotating the stick in every direction. Immediate fix both times.

Console games are made to be fun. Anything fun can be addictive in undisciplined hands. Some mobile games, however, are designed to be addictive to draw in more profits from microtransactions. They are a problem.

Unfortunately, when much of the world hears "gaming" they first think of a tv/monitor and a controller. Real games don't use or need casino tactics to sell well and like any hobby can be enjoyed responsibly.

Not Nintendo, but I loved the FFVII winter town right before the snowboarding mini-game. That music was simple but matched the look so well.

Any game with a metacritic score of at least 70 is a good game. Period. After that, it's up to me as an informed consumer to read the actual reviews and decide if the game is a good game for me.

I'd say 90% of the games reviewed on this site are actually worth reviewing, so of course they'll typically earn an 8-10. If it's a popular game release I expect it to be good but I still want to know if it sucks. If it's a little-known gem, I definitely want to know about it, which is why I come here.
