I like the YouTube trio but personally don’t care for reviews when it’s not their own. Reviews are subjective. I want the guy speaking’s opinion.

I could have sold a couple more millions if it had released on PC… no clue why they fumbled that.

Tracks are ok but not great. Still no story mode. Open world kinda sucks. Kinda underwhelming overall. Feels like a step back in many ways including number of tracks vs MK8… I would rate it higher if it was a 60$ game but at 80$ I am pretty underwhelmed 7/10

They were optimistic for first party potential for the system but they were not glowing about third party games’ performance on the system though.

I wish Ubisoft could do a Starfox game after proving their worth doing Mario + Rabbids & Starlink. … and given Nintendo seems to have abandoned the IP

As long as it’s got regular PS4 like power in handheld and a tad better in docked that’s fine. Anything less would be a disappointment as far as third party ports are concerned.

@geshem maybe I expressed myself poorly but my whole point was that the original HD-2D art style like in Octopath Traveller was completely pixelated even though everything other than characters was modeled in 3D… this new look is weird to me. If you’re gonna have smooth HD graphics for everything and then pixelated characters it’s just weird. The original DQ HD-2D trailer looked much different. This new art style is maybe not noticeable to most but it feels like a downgrade to me

It looks good but it’s weird how everything is rendered in HD 3D … except for the characters which are 2D pixelated. It doesn’t look bad it’s just weird how they changed art direction completely an no one seems to notice.

@gabrigoes I never once implied Nintendo was threatened by your singular actions or even by the collective piracy. Furthermore, creating backups of physical games you own is copying, piracy has nothing to do with copying it is the theft of intellectual property which you try to rationalize as ok. Would love to see you try to make argument for that in court. And yes, if nobody was stealing their software, there is zero chance Nintendo would consider pouring a portion of their profits into a Denuvo. @ozwally I would buy such an OS in a heartbeat as much as I love my steamdeck it’s always annoying how many things don’t work even with tinkering. The things that do work though make the switch look a bit sad.

@ozwally I haven’t had games become unsupported on my steamdeck but I hear you I too prefer the straightforward use of the switch. I still keep my deck to play a ton of games either only available on pc or that look way better than the blurry switch ports… and I’ll reinstall windows as soon as dual boot is supported so I can play online. Online is terrible on switch never mind it’s free on pc.

Very poor list. A lot of important omissions including the Xenoblade Games, Metroid Prime remastered to name but a few.

From the studio behind Divinity Original Sin II I was expecting a quality game but this looks to surpass expectations… maybe I’ll check it out one day if it’s ever ported to a Nintendo console

@TenEighty Im perfectly satisfied with the current system as well. I don’t care for low resolutions because I play mostly handheld. I think the only thing that bugs me is the load times which aren’t terrible but compared to a modern pc with ssd it’s quite jarring… but baring that I don’t know what Nintendo could possibly do to encourage me to by a new console day one given I feel as though my switch has so many games I have yet to finish.

Yeah waited so long for this to come out in switch I bit the bullet and bought on steam deck. Very glad I did what’s the point of a worst performing physical game if it’s not even on the cartridge

So happy !!! I wouldn’t mind even more TotK amiibos but those two were at the very top of my wishlist!

@Krysus thanks for the tip but I sold everything PlayStation I owned during COVID. It might have worked better but to be honest I have a Steam Deck now and with most PS4 exclusives coming over to windows I don’t see the point of ever going back to owning a sony console given I play almost exclusively portably.

I bought an OLED Vita specifically for remote play with PS4 and that thing always lagged like hell no matter how good a local network I had (and I’ve tried a few) it’s probably the worst purchase I’ve ever done as far as consoles go. Total POS. I have zero faith in this new product that’s probably gonna be ridiculously overpriced.

@sabreman64 there are some cheap looking amiibo but the newer ones are of very high quality. For those of us who like to have 3D figurines this is some of the best bang for the buck you can get not even counting nfc in game perks

@Rika_Yoshitake that is not a good example at all… Nintendo hardware has been more vulnerable to jailbreaking for generations vs Sony doing a much better job in the latest two gens. I’m not gonna defend pirates and hackers but I do think Nintendo should make it a bit more difficult on the hardware side. There would certainly be fewer court cases and takedowns if they did that.

@sleepinglion they should all be included and they should all be skippable and accessible from games home menu upon completion. This is so basic and easy to implement.
