@fafonio to be fair my original joysticks probably started drifting within less than 3 months... I cant imagine these knockoffs are much worse than Nintendo's ***** design

@jobvd tools were pretty decent however I cant comment on longetivity of new joystick yet since I only used for a couple days but I am confident I can easily replace it again.

Just repaired mine with cheap 10$ kit from amazon that came with 3 spare joysticks... I hate that the joycons are sooo poorly designed but I love my Switch too dearly to hold a grudge at Nintendo... But I do hope newer hardware versions (pro next year?) will not have the same issues !

@Snatcher the mobile to PC comparisons Ive seen so far are very impressive... After all this is a mobile game ported to PC and console. I am pretty sure the Switch will handle it very well.

I have never played a pokemon game yet only a short demo but I would rather wait for the next main series game hoping it will be better received critically and fix this game's issues....

I used to have my friends over and introduce them to fun party games (Speedrunners, Ultimate Chicken Horse, Duck Game and Towerfall are favorites) but now with Corona I wish I could just tell them which demos to try.

@Heavyarms55 Amen. With Skyrim and Witcher 3 already on Switch we're only missing the Mass Effect trilogy to complete the trifecta of best all time Western RPGs

I would love a good / semi serious racer on Switch however the lack of analog triggers is a problem... Kind of a deal breaker really.

@Kreko I'm sorry you are having issues... It worked for me... After connection issues screen. Still hate the new update overall. What a sh*tfest.

@BCMT I feel for you. In the meantime if you have the physical version you could try deleting the software and turning off automatic updates prior to reinstalling. But if I remember well... Even the physical version requires a download on Switch vs PS4 and Xbox... You may be out of luck. I hope they fix it.

It feels a lot like Minecraft when it got updated so everyone could play online accross all platforms and they removed the option to manually save/recover in game. I have never played it since although I must have sunk 100+ hrs in it prior.

@Kreko you might have to temporarily turn off wifi but it should give you more options not to connect Epic user once it detects a connexion error.

@BCMT it's such a bad update ... And honestly it feels as though the omission was intentional to force people to play online. Even the epic account login looks compulsory until you switch off your wifi to get other options. Very forced and anti consumer for a product that loads of us paid for.

@BCMT it's disgusting if they dont bring it back. We paid for that feature. So far the free to play update has been one buggy slap in the face of it's old paying userbase.

@OdnetninAges nope. Even the paid edition gets updated to this version and in the process it gets stripped of it's local multiplayer option.

Nope. So disappointed in the lack of effort, I would rather emulate them on PC then encourage cheap cash grabs like these.

@Ulysses same here Age of Calamity looks like it has put way more effort put towards earning my hard earned cash.

All I want is local party / 4 player mode... If it still doesnt have practice mode when you are eliminated then its a hard pass. I'll stick to Tetris Party on Switch.

I would have totally grabbed one since I am in the market for Odyssey... But the absence or a physical version makes it an easy pass.

I want the option to resell if it I get bored of it... But a free download works for me too.

When activision does a way better job at a lower price (Crash, Spyro remakes) you know Nintendo are a bad greedy company. I can mod this on PC emulators to look better and I'll even be able to play Mario Galaxy 2. I won't be a sheep and give in to their cheap tactics.

And on that same topic no widescreen or visual upgrades for Mario 64? That game looks like crap by today's standards... This had got me worried about Ocarina of Time next year...

@Ulysses it's fun if a tad repetitive.. Best looking Star Fox game for sure. If you prefer getting the toys (the ship looks awesome) it goes on sale for pretty cheap if not I recommend the deluxe digital version for extra ships++

I bought and got rid of Puyo Puyo Tetris 1... I only bought it for local 4 players party mode and it was lacking 2 basic things from its bare bones predecessor on Wii "Tetris Party"; there is no practice mode when you are eliminated and wait for other players to battle it out (which makes 3 player or more matches super boring for at least one player) and no option for special items (those were super useful in levelling the ground Mario Kart style).

@Moon I sold mine about 1 month ago when I heard it was going free to play... lol I just hope the buyer wont regret it lmao.

@R1spam Oh yessss that'd be sweet . I honestly can't think of a good reason why not, I would be willing to bet it would sell like hotcakes on the Switch.

@sanderev you know what I respect your opinion but I love my Switch, my PS4, my PC, and my Xbox 360 while I'm at it. Meanwhile I also thoroughly enjoy digital foundry's videos and well... too bad you can't find something positive there, either way have nice day. (edit: spelling)

@sanderev They compare it to the base PS4 which they easily justify because it's a very popular version and frankly the least powerful platform next to the base Xbox One. Thanks for the link but I already have seen those videos. I have to agree with Indielink I watch lots of Digital Foundry videos and I never thought of this as having anything to do with fanboyism. I have a PS4 pro, pretty strong gaming laptop which can run The Witcher 3 maxed out at 1080p and well I can see myself playing this more on the Switch, same as Skyrim, for the portability alone. When I watch these comparisons I don't see it like which console is superior but rather are the compromises reasonable to my taste to orient my purchase decision. I bought Witcher 3 about 3 years ago and never put more than 2 hours in it... Because I barely ever get a chance to sit in front of the TV. I would like to add that beyond portability the Switch wakes up from sleep mode much more rapidly than PS4 which also contributes in my opinion to a better fit for a busy lifestyle. (edit: spelling)

I'm not sure how it'll stack up against the lastest version of Mario Kart but for those who only own a PS4/Xbox One this is no poor man's MK. That is just outright ignorant BS. Anyone who has played at least a few races of either MK64 or CTR knows CTR is the more polished and better overall game in pretty much every way (driving, controls, races, single player campaign, number of tracks, graphics). Now to be fair CTR came a couple of years after MK64 and clearly ripped off most good things from it ... but it was still clearly a better game overall.

@DannyBoi The vita was a portable PS3 with a terrible games library... Sony dropped the ball on that one.

honestly I love my Switch so much if they'd release a new model next year and it's worth it I might buy a second one and hold on to the one I already have

@Hikingguy I would prefer an upgarde to Racing Transformed... This game looks like a step backwards with a silly team gimmick. I'll probaby wait for reviews and ultimately pass ... Maybe Activision will do a proper Crash Team Racing Remaster instead.

Very happy! I just wish the triggers were pressure sensitive... Anyways glad to finally be getting a proper racing game.

@Wanjia the local is a LAN only which means it's multiple switches over a local network... Unless there is a splitscreen option but so far everything points towards LAN which is a bit of a bummer. I do believe there will be online as well as LAN.

@60frames-please I would have preferred 30 fps and 1080p... Why do you need 60 fps in a building game? Meanwhile 720p in docked mode is really ugly... I guess the best would have to have both options available.

@Regpuppy I think when they say 4 player local they are talking about LAN... I would have loved some split screen like Minecraft.

Local coop is kinda wasted without splitscreen... I don't have the money to buy 4 consoles nor the friends willing to all buy this game.
