Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Excitebike 64

Both versions have a nod to the Japanese NES (Famicom) original. The dominant bike on that box has the number 26, the bike on the sequel has number 27 (harder to see on the Japanese version, but it is there as well).

Re: Hand-Drawn Game Guide Kickstarter Taken Down Following "Legal Trouble"

I would hope that Nintendo would offer him to make it official, so they can profit and the fans can have this wonderful product. But I can imagine that sends an unwanted message out: "if you use our IP without permission and it's cool enough, we'll award you". That would encourage more people and companies to go even further with this.

Re: Take-Two Files Lawsuit Against Creators Of The GTA Reverse Engineering Project

The subtitle "Allows Grand Theft Auto 3 to be played on Switch" had me thinking that Take-Two was allowing it

These projects are great though, they make the IP owners look like idiots, waisting the opportunity of making money and pleasing fans and showing that there is no excuse for their games not being on Switch. I hope it forces their hand to step up.

@ThomasBW84
Hi Thomas. I hope to see an article on NL soon about the approval process of Nintendo, using this as a case. I find it so unfair that Dotemu is catching all the heat, while Nintendo is not stepping forward with any information. Are they doing their best to get this approved asap? I'm very disappointed with Nintendo right now.

@Flashlink99 Hahaha, nice! Actually I grew up with SEGA Master System and then MegaDrive and was completely in love with Sonic. I didn't like any of the 3D ones very much, but Mania brought my love back.

So I'm not a Sonic or SEGA basher, far from it. I just like NL to stay on topic - if the article does not relate to a game on a Nintendo system I really don't understand why it has to be here.

@Razer Well, I keep coming back to beat individual stages at all dificulty levels, to get an S-ranking for them. You have to chain your attacks without getting hit (and spare your star moves) to get it. A bit obsesive, but getting into that 'zone' feels great. Beating story-mode with different characters also unlocks stuff. And there's a boss-rush mode that I just today tried for the first time

@LeonAlistair The reveal trailer showed some new areas, but it's not clear if they're true levels or rather arenas.

We also see Blaze entering a portal and a visual of Dr Zan working some controls while Blaze, Axel, Cherry & Floyd seem to be sleeping and hooked up to Zan's machines. This might suggest that the heroes are literally in a dream/nightmare, so that might also have an effect on how the levels are stitched together.
