Kirby: Planet Robobot isn't out in the West until 10th June, but Nintendo is wasting little time in promoting the 3DS sequel to fans. The review embargo was surprisingly early, which gave us a chance to share how much we love it, and the online marketing campaign is picking up pace.
Following a shortened overview trailer recently shared by Nintendo UK, Nintendo of America has now released a localised version of a hefty Japanese overview. Just shy of five minutes, it looks at Kirby's new abilities, his use of mechs, minigames and amiibo features.
Check it out below and let us know whether you're excited about this one.

never was a huge kirby fan but this looks cool and the fact that its one of the few nintendo titles being released anytime soon makes me think ill probably pick it up.
I'm sorry but I just don't see the appeal of Kirby. And this doesn't do anything to help me in that understanding.
Funny how the first two comments are about how they aren't into Kirby. I for one can't wait.
I really enjoyed the first Kirby 3D game and loved the mini-games. I'll pick this one up to at some point. Shame is is a whole £10 dearer on the eShop than retail...
@DiscoGentleman Same here. I was pleasantly surprised to see that ign gave this game an 8. I'd be buying it anyway, but it's nice to see the pink one get some respect from a site that's not dedicated to Nintendo.
@xPH03N1Xx86 Right? "I'm not into Kirby, but I AM into going out of my way to tell people that I don't like Kirby, in the comments of an article about Kirby of all places."
@FragRed The appeal of Kirby is that it is a video game. People like video games, as evidenced by the very existence of this site. And while it is true that not everyone who likes video games likes every video game that exists, it is equally true that if there is a video game which exists, there's a good chance that it will appeal to at least several people who like video games. Hopefully that clears some things up for you.
I have a very high amount of hype for this game, kinda wish it had been a surprise reveal at E3 for my wallet's sake though (and for the 3DS to actually have something at E3, but mostly my wallet)
Haven't been this excited for a Kirby game since Epic Yarn. This one looks like it'll be even better.
This really looks like the equivalent of Kirby Super Star for the modern generation. My hype for this game has gone from 0 to 60 in days!
Kirbyy <3
@alasdair91 This is what I don't get about Nintendo... They want to encourage digital purchases, but their pricing scheme pushes most people away due to being more expensive with no added bonus...
Im not normally a Kirby gamer but I picked up Kirby rainbow cuz that looked abit different and this game looks quality so I am get this one aswell.
@DiscoGentleman At first I was feeling a little bleh since we've had so much Kirby lately, but these trailers are getting me excited!
This looks so cute and fun! Really tempted to add it to my backlog now.
Huge Kirby fan, and the amount of new stuff here has me incredibly excited. The minigames look especially good this time around, I hope that this and Triple Deluxe have set the standard for future Kirby game minigames, they're getting far more in-depth and longer as of recent, to the point you can spend several hours in them as opposed to just a couple of minutes like with Megaton Punch or Quick Draw.
Given that half of the appeal of Kirby for me is causing mass destruction with a ludicrously over-the-top arsenal of abilities and weapons, all while playing as an adorable pink marshmallow, I'm totally on board with the mechas.
