The My Nintendo loyalty programme is now settling down, with fairly regular updates and an established mix of discounts, game downloads and Miitomo tokens. The latter are clearly a focus for Nintendo, as they've had a 'discount' applied.
In our UK account there's a notification pointing to the following offer, in which the 5 Miitomo Drop Game Tickets reward has been discount to 350 Platinum Points; in Europe this discount will be available until 20th June.
They're slightly strange rewards, from this writer's perspective - you're asked to give up a fairly hefty amount of Points for a handful of plays on a rather erratic, tricky minigame.
In any case, are you tempted to pick this up at a 'discount', or are you saving your points for other goodies?

Can't add anything else to that.
I'd be more inclined to spend my Platinum Points on Play Codes for Nintendo Badge Arcade.
And why spend 350 Points on 5 tickets when I can spend 250 on 10????
The 10 tickets are still cheaper...
Miitomo Drop is pretty terrible.
Does anyone still play Miitomo after the incentive platinum coins?
who would ever buy these?
I haven't touched Miitomo for weeks. I don't have anyone on there who actually uses it, and I can't add Miiverse folks easily, which boggles my mind, so yeah. No real incentive to mess with it anymore. I got all the big rewards from it early on, got the Twilight Princess Picross, and now I'm getting those 90 free points each week from logging into Miiverse, the eShop, and My Nintendo, waiting for some new random free games to be added.
In short, I couldn't be less tempted by anything Miitomo related.
Bring on the "real" mobile games, please!
@DiscoGentleman & @DefHalan you can only get the 10 miitomo drop game tickets once.
@NintyFan I completely agree. Apart from the wonderful WarioWare game, everything has been incredibly underwhelming.
I just want physical gifts again!
@MarioPhD
You also can get another 30 platinums by signing into Nintendo.com weekly with your account.
The only way to win this game is to not play.
No thanks. That's still a lot of coins to use towards what could turn into nearly useless candy in about 20 seconds of gameplay and hoping to land in a good place.
I mostly play Miitomo to get a few platinum coins to save up each day/week, but I almost never get my daily hearts or comments, unless my wife plays it but she hasn't in a while. I know almost no other adults that even give a darn about Nintendo.
i dont really know why anyone would want this reward? what a waste! please add more game downloads!
@FubumblR I usually get that reward twice when I log into nintendo.com and nintendo.co.uk at the same time with my account. I've gotten several times 150 weekly points in total.
No
That is so embarrassing!!
While I agree that game tickets are a strange award, it's just about the only thing I'm semi-interested in. For me, I had all the discounted games already that I wanted. (It doesn't help that most of the games discounted right now were games from Club Nintendo ). Plus, you can get most of the games cheaper from elsewhere - kind of a waste to use on My Nintendo, in my opinion.
The other Miitomo suits that are offered, like the bee suit, don't interest me in the slightest, I'm not a fan of Picross, and I already have WW: Touched!
So... it's pretty much either game tickets for me, or all my coins expire... Nintendo, please get some physical rewards soon!!!!
Today, miitomo asked me "what would you use VR for things in real life that are too hard?" And "how often do you buy a new cell phone?"
Is N trying to to sneak consumer studies into miitomo?!?
Saving for Wario Ware
Nope. I don't like spending platinum points or money just to have a chance at winning a prize.
To be honest, even if they were giving away miitomo drop plays I'd not bother with them. I've even stopped playing Miitomo altogether, as there's nothing worth spending Platinum Coins on!
@BensonUii This. Very much this.
@Starz really? huh... picked it up just now just because lol. Didn't want to miss out on it lol.

No, really? Actually it fits perfectly into what Nintendo has been doing lately. Im surprised they didnt offer you to spend like 500 points and get their "newsletter" as a "reward".
Looks like its even hard now for the writers to stay positive with these garbage rewards ... a reward for a freaking token to play another freaking trick game ... what a joke.
Why not like this, why not sell levels as rewards, like, you buy Super Mario Kart 7 from the eShop for 44.95 (a steal - get 2) and then you can exchange your super points for e.g. the acceleration button ... or perhaps for the title screen... like, for 44.95 you own a (digital) copy but if you want to see the title screen you can get it rewarded for 500 points? good idea, no?
This was noted somewhere the other day on the EU site. It's under the "stay informed" notification.
"By the way, we're preparing even more benefits for our email readers, like subscriber-exclusive Nintendo eShop discount offers or early access to certain content. Choose to stay informed and enjoy the benefits!"
Whether that turns out to really be additional offers isn't very clear, but haven't seen any subscriber-exclusive stuff yet. Secretly hoping for dlc discounts.
I prefer the old physical Nintendo gear rewards. Posters, calendars, little tote bags, etc. My nephews loved that stuff. I'm just entirely uninterested in spending points on clothes...for a game...that I don't really have any interest in playing except to fulfill the least requirement in order to get more points.
Mynintendo is pretty terrible. Discounts on games most people probably own aside from the random eshop title or two. Honestly the old rewards system was much better as you got a bunch of physical things you could spend your points on instead of digital versions of games that you'll have to rebuy if you ever get a different version of the 3ds because of their ass-backwards account system. Granted you can move your Nintendo ID but it's a huge pain in the ass.
@Nareva
agreed!
The rewards are so bad and miitomo too. You might as well try swag bucks and get Amazon gift gards
I got the mii tokens. I had plenty of platinum points to spare and there is nothing else in the reward section that i'm interested in getting yet. Since I got the picross game and I'm not interested in Warioware touched.
@Kolzig If have a Japanese account, would I get 60 points extra from logging in on both the EU and American site at the same time as theJapanese?
@tobibra Yes, I suppose in theory at least it should work. I have a European account. I have tried the logging during three last weeks and in two weeks I've got the double points. In one week I did not get it, so I'm not sure what triggers it.
Try it at least to find out.
Instead of calling this garbage a reward, they should just agree with the majority and instead call it an insult. Miitomo is lame, this so called rewards program is lame, and Nintendo is fast becoming lame as well. I'm so not impressed.
@Kolzig Thank you, if it works it will make gettingMy Nintendo points easier. I live in Norway and we don't have Miitomo yet, so regulary I can't get more than 120 points (did not know about getting points for logging onto their website, so until yesterday I only got 90)
My Nintendo sux compared to Club Nintendo
@DuplexGemini can't you only buy the 10 tickets once?
@Uberchu Yes, The 10 tickets reward can only be claimed once
@DefHalan I'm ripped off and I have no more play coins left.
Miitomo is totally lame, it was o.k for a couple of days but thats it.
@DuplexGemini so then yea the 10 tickets reward is crap compared to this one which is like x5.
the x1 ticket is x5 as well I think.
shouldn't the discount have ended already still showing 250 for me?
