The Switch fanboys will probably argue that it's fair priced though, because they convince theirselves that the Switch delivers such a unique experience that it automatically makes every game for any price worth the money.

The system could literally have been anything and it still would have sold around that number. Just look at the Wii U, which also had a strong start. Thinking that the system can survive on ports is very naive.

@Captain_Toad An exclusive Ace Attorney, 2D Metroid, main Pokémon game, a DK game and a quality new IP would be nice (no mediocrity like ARMs).

The new Mario game looks good as well. Have high hopes for the 2018 Fire Emblem game too.

If I had a reason to buy the Switch, I'd have had one by now. Problem is that it doesn't offer anything that can't be found on other platforms.

Yooka-Laylee is fantastic. I'm playing through the Steam version right now and I'm having a blast. Does it match the sublimity of BK and BT? Not quite, but it's definitely a worthy spiritual successor to BT. An 8.5/10 so far.

Good to see that it's doing well, because I sincerely hope it will spawn a couple of sequels.

@G-Boy Exactly the same as yesterday. The upcoming months will tell us if the Switch can keep its momentum going and I don't think it can, based on the lineup and lack of quantity. 2.4 mil is decent, but you can solely thank Zelda for that. There's literally nothing else on the horizon that people will buy a Switch for, aside from the upcoming Mario game. Casuals have their phones and tablets, the mass of PS4/PC/One gamers aren't going to buy an inferior system with crappy 3rd party support and the Nintendo fanboys have purchased it already. Especially the lack of interest by casuals is why this system isn't going to do well. We aren't living in the Wii era anymore. The casuals were the reason Wii was a success (Wii Sports and Wii Fit). They are gone this time.

My prediction is that Switch will suffer in the next 6-7 months and that Mario will give it a decent boost again during the holidays. 5 - 5.5 mil by the end of the year.

@CB85 Because the sales in Europe are ass. I can back that up with the fact that it's available since day 1 over here. Pretty much every game store has it in stock. Have been hearing the same from other Europeans.

They are already discounting the system in Russia for example.

This doesn't mean squat. The system has been purchased by all Nintendo fanboys now. The real challenge lies in the upcoming months, because they have to attract the casual crowd and gamers who play on other platforms. Looking at the droughts and upcoming games this year, I'm conviced that they can't make that happen. Ergo sales will plummet.

Lmao it's baffling that some of you can get excited over a 4-year old PC game. This also seems like a desperate attempt to get some 3rd party games on the Switch. Similar to the Borderlands 2 situation on Vita. Wouldn't be surprised when this turns out to run just as poorly as that game did.
