Those Ace Attorney sales are horrible. Watch Capcom throw out a statement like “the Ace Attorney franchise has been put on hold due to low demand”, because the sales of these 15+ year old ports didn’t meet their expectations.
Seriously, how hard is it to remake these games? They could put a new coat on the visuals and add voice acting and the games will sell like hot cakes again.
@Kamalen Except I probably have way more going on in life than you do. I’ve got a full time job, I attend university 3 times a week during the evenings, got my own house with responsibilities, I excercise 5 times a week and I’m in a committed relationship. With all that going on, I still manage to find 10 hours a week for gaming.
They could have implemented new, clever and challenging ways to unlock characters, just like in Melee, but instead they chose to throw all characters at you in a handful of hours, making the starting roster completely irrelevant.
Are you kidding me? I was actually looking forward to some good challenges to unlock every fighter. Just like in the old days. Dammit, Nintendo.
This is just typical. Nintendo will always have that need to target 5-year olds. Their games would be so much better if they didn’t have that mentality.
@Cosats I’m pretty sure that most people would agree with me when I say a lot of the games on that list are garbage, so I don’t think that I’m insulting the entire community here. But hey if you’ve been eagerly anticipating Timber Tennis or Urban Champion, that’s good for you, I guess.
Games that also interest me from the above are Monster Boy, Moonlighter, Tales of Vesperia and New Super Mario Bros. When will I actually buy and play them? No idea, there’s way too much available nowadays. Especially if you play on other systems as well.
I’ve purchased Hollow Knight, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Mega Man 11, Super Mario Party, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario + Rabbids DLC and Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon this year for Switch and I’ve pre-ordered Pokémon Let’s Go and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate so I feel like I’ve been supporting the Switch decently this year.
The PS4 did a slightly better job this year though. Haven’t purchased many games for it but I’m currently enjoying Spider-Man and I’m looking forward to Resident Evil 2 Remake and The Last of Us Part II. Will be getting Fire Emblem, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokémon next year for Switch.
Tales of Vesperia as well, but not sure which platform I should get it on.
Prices are way too high for these games, save for the couple of indies. 50 bucks for Doom on Switch vs 10 bucks for Doom on PS4 with better graphics. Also Resident Evil 7, The Evil Within 2 and Bloodborne are having criminally low prices right now. I’m sorry Nintendo, but I have to give it to PS4 for the horror nights.
I hope an exclusive quality horror game will come out for the Switch some day. Just like Project Zero for the Wii U.
@Dahn_ I agree with you. Nintendo sales have always been garbage compared to Sony and this time it’s no different. Half-Genie Hero has been on sale for 5 bucks on both the Vita and the PS4 and I don’t see that ever happening on the Switch.
Currently playing through Valkyria Chronicles 4 and I’m loving it. It’s a long game though. I’m 22 hours in and I’ve just reached chapter 6 (1/3rd of the game).
I would definitely support this service if it comes here. I’m not a collector, it’s all about the experience for me. And before anyone says “well, just buy a PS4 if you want to play AAA games so badly.” That’s not an option, because I really like to play games in portable mode as well.
@OorWullie I agree, they gave Gone Home and Flipping Death, both mediocre games, a higher score than this indie masterpiece. The reviews on this site are an absolute joke.
@Balta666 I saw a list of them on Gamefaqs a couple weeks back, but I can’t find it anymore. I remember seeing The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3 on it. Iirc there was one more, I want to say either Dr. Mario or Metroid, but don’t quote me on it.
I don’t understand why they won’t bring this and Resident Evil VII to the West. I don’t have interest in a PS4, because I’m primarily a handheld gamer, but I would love to play these games.
@sikthvash I disagree with literally your entire post. The little hubworld/lobby actually gives the game a lot of charm. The mini-games have been the most creative and fun since the GameCube iterations and this is factually the most strategic Mario Party game ever, because of the different diceblocks attached to each character and partner buddies. So far it’s up there with the best Mario Party games imo.
I also love how the bonus stars are different everytime.

Re: Nintendo Download: 28th February (Europe)
Everyone should get Mario + Rabbids for that price. It’s such a great game.

Emily Rogers has 0 credibility. Why would you even post this?
Will you make an article about a rumor I make up as well?

@LordGeovanni NintendoLife probably forgot about it.
Re: Random: Hideki Kamiya Asks Which Of His Characters You'd Like To See In Smash Bros.
What’s the point? Sakurai said that Nintendo has already chosen all of the Smash Bros. DLC fighters.
Re: Rumour: Joker In Smash Bros. Ultimate Triggers Speculation That Persona 5 Is Coming To Switch
Doubt it.
Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For December And January
Eh, you are missing some of the biggest games...
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom
Guacamelee! 2
Battle Princess Madelyn
Katamari Damacy Reroll
If it’s only about physical games I still don’t understand why Tales of Vesperia is absent.
Re: Video: Tales Of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Gets Its First English-Language Story Trailer
Wait, I thought that this game was supposed to get English dub as well?

Re: Go To Court With This Phoenix Wright Statue Designed By First 4 Figures
Don’t care about figurines, give me a new Ace Attorney game Capcom. It’s been way too long since the last one.
Re: Brains Behind Yooka-Laylee Demaster Wanted To Recreate "The Good Old Days"
It’s not even a demaster, they just used some filters and tried to make it look like an N64 game. They failed horribly.

Re: Nintendo Download: 8th November (Europe)
42 new games this week, that’s insane. On the other hand, only 4/5 of them are actually worth playing, so yeah...

Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For November And December
Got Let’s Go and Smash pre-ordered.

@gcunit That scares me a little bit too. It’s a great game, but it’s definitely light on content. I need at least 2 more boards.
Re: Nintendo Treehouse: Live To Showcase Smash, Pokémon, Yoshi's Crafted World And Diablo After Direct

Re: Three, Yes Three Resident Evil Games Are Headed To Nintendo Switch In 2019
I’m getting 4 and 0, since I’ve never played them.
@Guiltygear By far the most difficult part of Revelations 1. Loved the challenge, though.
Re: Nintendo Download: Gaming On The Go Sale (Europe)
Definitely getting Revelations 2. Loved the first one. Maybe Inside and Detention as well.

Garbage discounts like usual.
Re: Random: Nintendo's Taiwanese Distributor Rates Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker As 'Mature 18+'
@Anti-Matter You can’t buy the game now, because you don’t play mature games. Don’t break your own rules now.
Re: Review: Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition - A 2D Wrestling Riot That Shines Again On Switch

This is not really a surprise, because it was already known it was coming. More NES games will be getting this treatment in the upcoming months.
Re: Rumour: Promo Booklet Suggests Team Sonic Racing Might Be Delayed Until 2019
Winter 2018 = December 21st - March 21st, so yeah obviously it will be 2019, nothing new here.
It’s literally the same as Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, which was also slated for Winter 2018 but comes out on January 11th.
Re: Surprise! Both Guacamelee Games Headed To Switch, First Available Right Now
Yes! I was actually thinking about Guac 2 this morning, hoping it would arrive on Switch.

Re: Super Mario Party Rolls A Number Five In Its UK Charts Debut, FIFA 19 Still On Top
Would love to see some official sales numbers for Super Mario Party. Game is great so far, hope it spawns 2-3 sequels on the Switch.
